Bitcoin truly is the first cryptocurrency founded by Satoshi Nakamoto, as well as the one who created this forum. 2008 he published the white paper, 3rd January 2009 the first ever Genesis block was mined, on the 12th the first transaction was recorded, marking the birth and workings of the network/protocol, in 2011 he sent a final email that he has moved on to other things and left it in the hands of Gavin and everyone (including you and I).

Bitcoin na the only currency that is uncontrolled, have true PoW, uninfluenced by anyone, the sweet part is, even if Satoshi comes back today, he doesn't have any influence in the network, no developer, admin or board member does, this can be hardly said about other so called "cryptocurrency".

Bitcoin is a decentralized currency that means it isn’t controlled by any individual, companies or any official body it just a digital currency on it own that works without any government regulation or controls. Just as the name implies decentralized which mean not owned or regulated by any body either officials or government none has the control of bitcoin that just the most interesting part about it.
 
 It just so funny seeing how people think about other  cryptocurrency and bitcoin as something that can be compared not knowing that bitcoin has a bigger stand in the cryptocurrency world. Many other cryptocurrencies can be influenced or even manipulated by many other bodies either by the government body or even the big whales.

 Your subject is conflicting your context.. the topic claims deviation of bitcoin  from crypto which is wrong because it is the cryptocurrency that gave birth to bitcoin as the first cryptocurrency but I guess you probably mean other altcoin are different from bitcoin. but in general they are all crypto currencies.

If I'm being honest, the general name for all coins is cryptocurrency and bitcoin is amongst them but when it comes to discussion like distinguishing the best amongst them we tend to use the phrase "Bitcoin or/and other cryptocurrencies" you have done well in highlighting some key point why bitcoin is different from other coins.
Another reason why the distinction is necessary is, majority of altcoins have been known to have some scam characteristics like rug pull, pump and dump, failed projects... yet bitcoin seems to be the opposite of these characteristics possed by most project, however it's necessary to let people see the difference so they don't tag every coin as thesame.

As the first cryptocurrency, bitcoin gave birth to other cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is not like others cryptocurrency that comes with flashy promises, but that doesn't still erase the fact that Bitcoin is crypto. Not only that, it is equally the King of other cryptocurrency

Permit me to correct you, starting from the title you used, speaking of why Bitcoin is not crypto, which is wrong, because Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency. What you could have said is this: why Bitcoin cannot be considered an altcoin. This specifically explains your idea and the angle you're coming from.

Not back to Bitcoin and the aspect your discussion concentrates on, we can't have any other cryptocurrency that can fill the gap of Bitcoin, because it's all about privacy and everything works under a decentralized network, which we can learn from its whitepaper and also the history it makes right from inception.

Ok, lemme defend myself here, if we're going by logic, the word crypto doesn't necessarily mean cryptocurrency, it could mean, cryptography, cryptic, encrypting e.t.c, but we know wetin we dey talk about, even from my intro, I said

Their is no better way to say it my guy, they are all crypto currency in the best of my knowledge. This is no stuff we should be deliberating on because it is like arguing what you knows is already obvious to even an ordinary person. However their are more serious topics we should be discussing and not dragging what is already obvious, Bitcoin is still one of the crypto currency nothing change.

OP I appreciate you for the thread but to set the records straights for the purpose of learning especially for newcomers to and even those intending of coming into Bitcoin.Crypto currency is the broad name that covers all coins which Bitcoin is also part of it, crypto currency can be divided to Bitcoin and the others which are known Altcoins. What makes Bitcoin unique is in the characteristics that Bitcoin possess which altcoins don't have, one of such quality is stability altcoins are highly unstable making them very volatile and not too advisable to invest.
