I think you have already answered your question because it is obviously Satoshi that have such privilege but I don't think he will even consider doing that. He has done his job and have left the stage for you and I to continue from where he stopped.

Another person that would have had a close impact as Satoshi was Hal Finney (the first person to receive Bitcoin transaction from Satoshi) if not that he died so early when Bitcoin have not even gotten as big as it is now. So, there is no one that can make any impact on Bitcoin price via a post on this forum, not even our dear Theymos

I think you have already answered your question because it is obviously Satoshi that have such privilege but I don't think he will even consider doing that. He has done his job and have left the stage for you and I to continue from where he stopped.

Absolutely Satoshi is the only one who's post would have had that much impact in the price of bitcoin but it's obvious he made it clear that he'll be leaving to focus on something else and aside him no one else could make such impact on bitcoin in this forum, not even the DT members who are playing god lol.
I doubt if Hal Finney's post would have had that much impact, even though he is a prominent figure in the history of bitcoin, that would have been possible if he still has a large amount of holdings but it was said that he made several donations after mining when the price was still low.

But I don't think Satoshi will be like Elon Musk who at first seemed to greatly influence the price of Bitcoin with his X account,
but then all that changed and many are no longer interested in Elon because of some of the manipulations he has done.

Now price increases are determined by speculation and manipulation, rather than looking entirely at technicals,
fundamentals play an important role because the market is also not easy to predict with a completely changing trend.

My comment is not meant to discredit the position and influence of a personality like Satoshi, sure a comment from him can send the price way above even the 10% that is mentioned in the thread, but then what I was emphasizing on is the likelihood of such post happening right now and coming from such an individual like Satoshi who already believes that everything concerning Bitcoin is completed and nothing to add, but if you talk about individual business owner's and politicians like Trump or Elon musk, even Binance CEO such individual could make a posts and the reaction of that can affects the market significantly even above what we mentioned here.

If some big countries shows that they have purchase Bitcoin as their strategic reserves. Not just news that they will buy or something, but concrete evidence that they have and we see the amount in a wallet that government have.

I don't think that we will see some news about Satoshi though. Forget about it, he will not surface. Or maybe we will have some new regulations, but this time it will favor Bitcoin holders for the long term. Obviously, a news that huge money are flowing because institutions are buying. Could be a Fed cut too might be a good catalyst for Bitcoin market.

If Satoshi was more active or just as public as 'they' were in the origination of the Bitcoin blockchain then it would add volatility in both directions.   Ultimately I think downwards medium term as people fear they would now be selling off those presumed reserves that Satoshi may or may not have at hand.

Individual post hardly move the market, but post from satoshi will stir the world of crypto. Everybody speculating about satoshi every single day even in prediction market.
One great post from satoshi, bitcoin could instantly jump to $250k. Never underestimate the influence of satoshi.

If the person has a reputation for Bitcoin or its core members from the past, then yes, it would probably send Bitcoin's value higher when they come out.

But are you really expecting that to happen very soon? I mean, there's a chance they will end up being traced and taken by whichever government can get to them first, and they will probably not come out again. But if it's just the members of the forum today, I don't think it could affect the market that easily. Yes, it can have some movement because of speculation and analysis, but I doubt it will be that big.

I think the Satoshi account in the forum is banned for a good reason, it won't be possible for him to access his account even if he chooses to return, if he then decides to come in another user name, we all will doubt if it is of a truth him, because we've had so many claims of people trying to be Satoshi, imaginably if he returns, I somehow agree that the price will experience a hike.

10% is actually very little even at the current price - but the real question is whether someone with a lot of purchasing power reads this forum, considering that some other social networks are far more popular than the concept that the forum provides.

In fact, even some relatively unknown BTT account with its message could cause a pump if it claimed to have insider information that some super big company will soon announce that it is buying a lot of BTC. This should of course be somewhat supported by evidence, because anyone can write something like that at any time.

What would happen if Satoshi appeared and said he would give all his coins to the forum members?

Governmental ones are generally that much. Depends on the government of course, when El Salvador says something, it doesn't move that much no matter how great the news is, but when USA does something, it certainly moves that much.

I remember not too long ago when Trump tried to put in some high tariffs, and that resulted with bitcoin crashing for example, around 10% or 20% but that was about it, nothing more. So we can safely assume that it is going to be something about laws and rules of a government.

Yeah, that's true. They're making people panic whenever dormant accounts have moved tens of bitcoins to another wallet which is likely an exchange's address. What we can hope for is that no one who's holding a lot of it is going to dump it in the same time because they can't do it. Or if they can do, that will be a huge market move for sure.

Well, we are in a speculative market and that's why it's moved by those factors.

There are very few people who could move the market with an announcement and those people have not been active on the forum in a long time. Most people would probably believe their accounts were hacked. They would first have to prove who they are for them to be believed.

Vitalik could say that he is selling all his ETH for Bitcoin. The odds of that happening are extremely low, but it’s something that could significantly move the price. It might not be the most important news for the typical Bitcoiner, but I would expect there to be heavy rotation into BTC from panicked altcoiners and institutions who are thinking their bags might go to zero.
