First and foremost Congratulations to all participants and contestants!!! The cooking process and presentation of the popular Nigerian dishes "Nigerian Swallow" and "Nigerian Pepper Soup" was sincerely captivating damn I wished I could feel the flavors of these delicious dishes. But alas! I was limited only to sight. Well the decision process is here once again good luck all the participants!

How will it work?
The voting thread will be open for 10 days!!! after publication and all eligible Naija community members can vote. This year we had 117 participants, out of which 99 participants qualified for the voting thread and 18 disqualified. Feel free to revisit the contest thread and observe the entries before voting.

Rules

• users are eligible to vote for a maximum of 5 dishes.
• You must be invited to vote.
• You must be active on the Naija Local Board to vote. Unless I invite you.
• Voting cannot be done with an ALT account.
• If you are caught trying to cheat, negative feedback will be added to your account.
• You are not allowed to campaign for your dish or vote for your dish.
• Disqualified entries cannot be voted for.

I was waiting for the voting thread and I would also love to see people's votes in the coming days. It will be very difficult to choose any five of the participants, everyone tried their best. I was impressed by the skill of cooking and serving it. Since I am on the voters' list, it will be very difficult for me to vote for 5 dishes, yet the rules of the voting thread force me to choose only 5 dishes.

I think that will be harsh as those users may genuinely interested in competing, I also understand how this could be an issue, a contestant who can vote may not want to vote for a dish they like because their vote will take it past theirs (voting is public), but the idea should be that the selection process should mean such users will not be included to vote, so the situation solves itself, or should too.

That’s good advice but it wouldn’t make much of a difference in this particular contest because one of the criteria of the contest is to have your username written on paper and placed by the side of your dish.

Thanks for the invitation. Though it's hard to choose since everyone did a good job. I should vote for all, but fortunately I have to select only five, which isn't an easy task at all. Like other users, I will advise also hiding the user in the future for more transparency. So we can vote only based on the presentation instead of checking users. We may know some users, and we may vote for them to support them. Probably those are your local foods, but they look tasty; unfortunately, we can't test them lol.

It is a lot of work, but images can be edited so the names aren't visible.

Anyway, thank you for the invitation, it's a real honour to vote here ^^, and congratulations for the very high participation, especially for a local board!! I'm gladly surprised by it.

I am finding it very difficult to vote for the dishes without smelling and tasting them, so I'm going to base myself only on the cleanness, presentation and how I imagine its taste will be, plus the merit in the elaboration. In short, the ones who would call me the most to sit at the table, although without taking into account the company, to maintain impartiality (I would gladly accept an invitation from several of the participants I'm not voting, just to have the chance to know them in person):

Wow.. It actually feels good to be privileged to be one of the voters of this distinguish African Soup and Pepper soup dishes food contest on this on our local board, organized by @Mia Chloe and sponsored by @Theymos. And to be frankly speaking, I can confess that all the participants  really did a good job with these mind-blowing dishes that makes me want to salivate even while having a poctural view of it from my picture. Those swallows that are covered with plastics (waterproof) are called fufu or loiloi and they are difficult to make which means some of the participants bought them from the market or a local store in their environment that is why they are cover with plastic (waterproof). If you are curious to taste it, you can get them at the African grocery store in your country, it tastes good buy the odour is

Alright.. I finally saw what you are referring too on number #10 and #21, and it's true some are plastic and others are ceramics, and the reason why most of the dishes are been placed on the plastic/ceramics tray pans is for mobility (i.e to enable the waiter to be able to carry the entire dishes at once from one place to another).. And here in Africa, we have different forms of tray pans, we have the aluminum tray pans, ceramics tray pans, rubber tray pans and plastic tray pans. And if you can check the image which I got from Google below, you will be able to see a lady carrying a black ceramic tray pan with snacks and drink on it below 👇
