While I have never heard of this being an issue, I can testify that I have seen casinos do let the official courts and what not know about the situation before. In one case, casino was questioning if the player was laundering money, putting in crypto, then taking out crypto on different place and showing the government it's gambling winnings, and that way casino wasn't asking where he got the money, and he could do money laundering that way.

So the casino froze it all, including deposit, and asked the law enforcement to check, and kept the money in cold wallet until law enforcement replied, it was cleared and the player got the money. There are plenty of scammy shady places too of course, but even legit ones may do this.

What I mean is that some gamblers don’t fully read the casino’s ToS and end up breaking the rules unintentionally, like creating a second account or using a VPN to access the casino. Each casino has their rules, terms and conditions regarding each things that are happening in the casino. What I know is that casinos that are generous will let you remove your deposit from the casino and your account will be closed down either you make money from the casino or you don't win any money. However, the over protective and wicked casino will take both from you, they will not let you take anything and that's not fair especially when you win something from the casino.

Do we have to blame casino for this rules, I don't think it's fair to cheat a casino and if caught and they take action against you then it's your fault for breaking their rules. If they don't want you pack up and move to another casino. This is why I think gamblers need to be loyal to casino, if you have been with a casino for years, you don't have any reason to be jumping unless you are trying a new feature that is not available on your first casino.

That shouldn't happen, or at least the cases i've seen at other casinos usually end up with the casino returning the deposited amount.

This kind of protocol will only do more harm to the casinos unless the gambler broke the TOS by having multiple accounts and earned more winnings through those accounts. If that's how they got into this situation, I think it's only fair since the gambler was most likely using the casino's funds at that point.

I'm also curious about the type of violation they broke because it could be the casino's way of getting back at the gambler who abused their casino.

It is definitely different when comes to casinos when you compare similar cases of account freezing on Peer to peer markets.
On P2P markets the average user is to there to profit from using those services, they are there just to exchange their currency into another thanks to liquidity being put on the platform by merchants. On the other hand, those who gamble on online casinos are there for the hope of getting money thanks to their good luck, and if they do it they would be (in theory) taking money directly from the wallets of the casino itself.

There is the main difference, the first scenario is getting access to liquidity, the second one is draining such liquidity from the service provider thanks to ones good luck.

My opinion about this is... depends!!!!!

If you only deposit the amount, committed the fraud and had your funds blocked immediately after the infraction, well... I think you might be entitled to a refund of what was paid.

But... if you used the casino and played considerably before being blocked, even if you did not make a profit I think the casino has the right to block and keep with your founds, because you used the infrastructure of site and even if you did not make any winnings, you generated costs for the casino, costs that may be "invisible" but that generated a real expense for the casino.

At any case, I think that any infraction should be punished when the user commits it knowingly, so if this is stipulated in the terms of use, then I think it is fair that casinos keep the money of these people who try to take advantage of casinos illegally.

It's unfair when it comes to my perspective. Eventhough we violate the TOS, we deserves our deposit back. However, this depends on numerous factors. they will force you to complete the verification, then will do investigation whether your fund can be returned or not.
The funds will stay on them for the indefinite time until investigation is clear. Failed to meet verification and violate serious rule will result your fund will be seized by them.

Some casinos make it clear in their terms that if you violate their rules, they have the right to lock your account and deny you the money which you have already deposited. If such rules are made very clear in the TOS, I believe it's within the legal right of the casino to hold the fund against the user, even if it doesn't appear fair in our eyes.

If such rules are made very clear in the TOS, I believe it's within the legal right of the casino to hold the fund against the user, even if it doesn't appear fair in our eyes.

Most of casinos have that rules that's why its really good not to neglect reading what's written their by the casinos so they would know those critical information's.

Also for sure that if they know that situation exist they will not think about committing a violation on the casino since there are instances like this will happen to them. 

If they read that casino or the management has the right to confiscate their funds if proven that they violate their rules. So people need to pay close attention on the rules so no surprising factors will happen and they will not post any nonsense especially if the casino catch them doing illegal things on their platform.

Casino usually send a terms in their ToS which you violated when they ban your account. It’s unfair if they confiscated the funds without telling what terms your violated so that you can make amendments to their decision.

I never encountered inconvenience like this on crypto casino mainly because I only have account trusted casino. I only play on casino which a lot of forum members regularly playing without any issue encountered.

Yeah is different in P2P site and they will release your funds because there terms and conditions doesn't always states a permanent band of an account with all the money inside but in casino they might not release it if is on there Tos but there could be a chance if is not on there Tos to plead for the releasing of your funds and they will not have reason to say no. If is for something that does not required account banning they would ask for verification otherwise if is a violation of permanent restrictions they will not bother for verification because those things will not be important anymore.

Do all casinos really do that though? I get that what you’re describing is the proper process, but there are still casinos that think they’re entitled to keep the funds just because of a violation, and they end up treating it as profit. At that point, doesn’t it start to look like scamming gamblers? If the real intention is to prevent players from restricted countries from accessing the site, then they should just block those IPs from the start. Location detection isn’t that hard to implement, so allowing access first and only enforcing it after someone wins feels very questionable.

One of the most common TOS would be that pertaining about Geographical locations, ip restrictions, transfer of funds from gambling sites and other which are indeed that very common. There might be some difference but it would be that mostly on the countries. For some they are accepting but others are restricting it. This is why its important that as a gambler you do know with these informations to avoid with these kind of locked up funds issues on which this will definitely be that a pain in the ass at the time that you would be able to experience those lock ups. There are just that those people who cant just that accept that they do made out a mistake. In speaking about lock ups then they do have the full rights on doing so since its been stated from the start that you had to remember or know on what are the donts. So if you would be that facing up such issues and theyve throw into the actual reason on why it do happen then there's nothing you can do but to keep silent and accept your mistakes.
