Laos

Tether, the largest company in the digital asset industry, and Bitqik, a licensed digital asset exchange, are announcing a strategic initiative to promote financial literacy on Bitcoin and Stablecoins in Laos.

Vietnam

Vietnam has begun accepting applications from firms seeking to operate licensed cryptocurrency trading platforms, activating a tightly controlled pilot market framework that sets one of the region's highest capital thresholds for crypto exchanges.

Thailand

The Bangkok Post reported Thursday that the Thai SEC plans to issue formal guidelines supporting the establishment of crypto ETFs and the introduction of crypto futures trading on the Thailand Futures Exchange (TFEX). The set of new rules is expected in the early part of this year, although a specific timeline was not disclosed in the report.

There are so much progress in different countries in Asia. Seems like everyone wants to get ahead through different ways of their own. Also makes me think of my own country respective of theirs. Are you in Asia and how is crypto being treated in your region?

We all know the trajectory of all this and from what we see, no country, or Government wants to be left out in the revolution that started over 15 years ago. Around this time in 2017/2016.

You're right, but I think China is an exception. It's unlikely that China will regulate cryptocurrencies in the next decade; instead, it's more likely to impose increasingly stringent bans.

That's right. To be precise, many people are already smart enough to see future opportunities even though they live in countries that restrict citizens' activities related to crypto.
Bitcoin is the main reason people dare to break free from narrow-minded thinking, and eventually, many countries will adopt assets like Bitcoin as part of their reserves.
At first, they might agree to stay away from cryptocurrency, but behind the scenes, people will seek their own answers. Once they find those answers in Bitcoin, they begin to become wiser.
