This is a really generic question. But I wanted to Ask that Can Bitcoin really thrive?? Can it thrive in a world where The "Ultimate" powers like a currency which can be Manipulated, taken interest from, which is in their control, but Bitcoin is the opposite of it. So if it doesn't work in "their" interest will they let it thrive in the world?? Won't they show it as bad?? Won't they try to take it in control and Manipulate the price like Trump is Doing. And what steps should we take to stop that from happening.
Let me know what you guys think
Manipulations are unavoidable because of the volatility of bitcoin but it doesn't stop it from thriving. Since the invention of bitcoin till now, do you know how many manipulations it has undergone but still it stood strong. I don't even think that Trump is doing anything to manipulate the price of bitcoin, the reason why his tariffs are just having effects on the price of bitcoin is because of his office as US president. Volatility is what made bitcoin possible to be manipulated because some whales can just decide to liquidate the market and it will have impact in the price of bitcoin, same way it also happens when there is a huge purchase.

Bitcoin has always thrived and can still thrive, yet not because the people in power allow it. When the people choose it then it thrives. The funds controlled by states always works in their own interest, therefore resistance is expected. They may slow Bitcoin, spread fear, regulate on and off ramps, and even attempt to influence the price through narratives and huge capital. Yet thah won't be able to change the rules, inflate the supply, or shut down the network internationally.

The strength of Bitcoin is decentralization and voluntary adoption. It does not require any permission. The best way of defence is simple: self custody, education, to run nodes where it is possible, thinking long term and not depending on intermediaries. When people continue to use it as it is intended, it can survive undermining politics.

I don't know how long you've known about Bitcoin, but if you look at its history from the beginning until now, you will see how Bitcoin has thrived despite pressure from governments and financial institutions, and has instead grown and matured.
However, even though Bitcoin has grown, sceptical views and threats of market manipulation still exist, but that is quite normal as you will find such things in any market. The important thing is that Bitcoin itself cannot be interfered with by parties who dislike it.

This is a reality that governments and other centralised institutes are not much in favour of decentralised Bitcoin. It is also a reality that Bitcoin not only survived but showed massive growth in its price since its inception. Now seeing the popularity of Bitcoin, big institutes have started investing in Bitcoin to get there share of profit. With time we will see more business coming to Bitcoin which will take price of Bitcoin to new highs. Bitcoin is a reality that is growing like a hurricane and many of its opponents are embracing that financial revolution.

It is true that the spread of Bitcoin is gradually increasing all over the world and will double over time, ordinary people and small and big businessmen are buying large amounts of Bitcoin and holding it for the long term because Bitcoin is the digital gold of the future. The price of Bitcoin is gradually increasing and Bitcoin will reach its highest height in the future. Bitcoin has survived and will survive in the future there is no doubt about this. Many have tried to destroy Bitcoin in many ways, but no one has been able to do so yet and hopefully never will.

This is actually a great question.

First things first, when you see BlackRock supporting something, it probably takes the 'OK' from the system. So, accepting bitcoin appears to be on "their" interest. Perhaps because they understand that they can't really prohibit in any meaningful way, because rich people with bitcoins would just fly to a country "they" don't fully control.

Maybe bitcoin was a royal fork move for the system, where anything they do, will only send them to a worse off situation. But, honestly, I think it's still to be seen how much worse off they will be. They still own the lawmakers, and if they own most bitcoin, and still make the laws, then they may still control who gets what.

For those who oppose it, the emergence of Bitcoin is a disaster for them because Bitcoin provides a different status that has never been achieved by anything else in the financial system, and that is freedom. Bitcoin owners are like the owners of the bank itself. They can decide how to use their money without having to be regulated by complicated administrative procedures. Bitcoin owners are responsible for their Bitcoin holdings.

Bitcoin has grown significantly. This answer is also very common in 2026. Many institutions have adopted Bitcoin, and the good news is that Bitcoin is widely planned to be used as a reserve because, for them, Bitcoin is not just an electronic cash system, but they can prove that Bitcoin is the best hedge. Thank you, and hopefully by 2027, you won't be asking whether Bitcoin will grow, but instead, questions will arise regarding scarcity once the 21 million Bitcoin are fully circulated.

Don't trust Trump and other presidents too much because they are politicians. Their words sound too good to be true before they take office, but once they do, the unpleasant smell begins to emerge.

There are some power behind Bitcoin movement which some governments is still finding it difficult to stop their citizens not to know Bitcoin or how it work to favour Bitcoiners. Bitcoin can display in any country of the world to attract users from the country but some governor's and presidents are afraid of Bitcoin moment because they know that it has want citizens want from centralize coin.
Government hasn't and can't control the price of Bitcoin no matter their efforts, lots of ventures and even Bitcoin reserves companies can flow in to Bitcoin and it will still experience a severe decline in price when it's time. No body is guaranteed to affect the price to its way they want or influence it towards their direction, it doesn't and wouldn't work that way. When China tried it, doesn't work. Bitcoin price skyrocket with and without them.

How can it won't thrive when its already been used as a global currency since bitcoin has already made successful borderless transactions. So the question if bitcoin will thrive, bitcoin has already proven it and overcome that struggle, so let's stop doubting bitcoin.

However, since you are still new in the forum, I understand why you have raised a question like this. But as a friendly advice, check the progress of bitcoin and you will know if its capable to thrive or not.

Lol, you speak like you aren't from this world. Bitcoin has for long faced criticism majorly for the government and world leaders. So it's not a new thing.

My question for you is, has bitcoin become a failure or a success? Isn't it thriving already? The same people who criticised bitcoin in the past are now openly and secretly piling up their wallets.

That's enough to tell you that bitcoin is much better than the current monetary system and they know of that..

No one can control bitcoin. They can do that with it's price but the system will remain completely decentralised.

IMHO, no one's aware what will be the future of bitcoin or if its actually going to have a future when we all know there are different factors that could trigger the sustainability of bitcoin. And if ever it will, maybe it will still end up a high-risk asset class and that anytime it can be gone in the market and become valueless.

However, for now I can see that its really thriving but no one holds if it still thrive in the future.

Lol, you speak like you aren't from this world. Bitcoin has for long faced criticism majorly for the government and world leaders. So it's not a new thing.
I was sure talking about it's price getting Manipulated, and that is common sense that an asset when becomes large is never clean of manipulation but what I meant from my post is that when they will manipulate the price, will people choose to invest their capital in Bitcoin?? as Its a "hedge against inflation" when it starts getting Manipulated will it lose its relevance as a hedge against inflation.
People will fear investing in Bitcoin and the past succes of Bitcoin won't be enough to convince them.

And everyone that replied, I want to say that your some of your replies were really intelligent and helped me think from another perspective, but most of the replies were on the same route "it performed well in the past so it will perform well in the future" none gave a full explanation. And that was the explanation I needed

I don't doubt Bitcoin thriving in the future but i was curious if the manipulations continued and increased as time went on wouldn't it affect people who are new to this space and perceive it as bad. That was my whole question.

Ps: there was nothing funny said to LOL ( laugh out loud ) on.
