It's a scary place to be. Well, I disagree with this statement.  I think there is nothing physical about gambling addiction outside an occasional injury to your foot or hand when you stamp on it in a fit of frustration after losing big at the slots!

Although gambling is compulsive, it takes far more than a few missed meals and sleep to suffer a heart attack because of gambling!

I was in such situation from the year 2019 to 2025 which is a pretty big timeline to be in and I think most of what you said are right, at first I was winning in 2019 and didn't notice any change at all, this situation which I call normal behavior continued until the end of 2023 where loses and wins were similar making me be neutral overall regarding winning or losing. This continued until the end of 2023 while from January 2024 to December 2025 is where heavy loses followed day by day, week after week and month after month. It was exactly during such time that I start feeling bad, I start getting mad at myself, I was always sad and depressed and lately even started to have numbness in my feet, hands and face. It was exactly because of this numbness that I decided to stop gambling and so far I am keeping the promise to myself, well with small mistakes like gambling 10-20 dollars instead of 100-200 dollars a week.

Gambling addiction is a very big silent killer because for fear of letting people know that they gamble they won't open up to disclose the pressure and depression they are going through when they lose huge amount of money in bid of gambling, I was reading an article the other day and I saw a Young Man committed suicide because he used his land's Lord money that he collected from the tenants as the caretaker of the compound to stake a bet and along the line he lost the game, so there is no way he will explain to the landlord why he gambled with his money and he sought to the option of taking his own life which is very wrong even if he has used the money.

I agree with the opinion that gambling addiction is a silent killer because this is what is endured over time(depression, debts, frustration, loneliness) in someone's life for a long time without someone helping out on how they could come out of the agonies.
