The worst thing that can happen to any gambler is getting addicted to gambling because it takes away your peace and leave you with constant panic attack and most of these addicted gambler always look unhealthy and depressed and it becomes hard to even hide it from the world, and I feel that it even drains their blood and thereby killing them silently and slowly that they don't even recognize themselves anymore and they find it difficult to stop gambling. Gambling addiction doesn't just deal with you silently it also deal with you loudly because it's very difficult not to notice an addict when you see one because it's written all over them as they think differently and do things differently too.

Imagine gamblers after losing big because they cannot face the shame from their actions since majority of them are not the owner of the money, they will think of committing suicide. You are correct. Addiction might have different symptoms in different people. I was speaking with a gambler who overcame addiction and he told me that it was difficult to sleep when he was addicted. He said that the thought of the debt he owes keeps him awake all through the night. He also said that he could spend most of his time at night analysing games.

I do not think that gambling is a silent killer, too, they have lots of signs and the development is not just on snap, and the person is addicted.  People can tell the signs of addiction by observing the person on their gambling engagement.

Changes in behavior and physical health of a gambling addict is also observable, it is either the become obese due to a lack of activity or too thin due to skipped meals.  The sign is everywhere so I do not think a gambling addiction can be considered a silent killer.
