I once read in a forum, I don't know which thread I wrote that someone had a heart disease, and the disease relapsed until he died after getting a big win, I remember reading it here exactly, and it is one of the physical defects that can cause someone to lose their life, for a normal level of addiction but when you have a disease that is physically easily triggered in an emotional outburst or happy can cause someone to be killed, blood, high and heart, or maybe there are others too?
Yeah I’ve come across that thread here too about a gambler who collapsed as a result of a heart attack after hitting a big win. This is very normal because people will some severe heart disease are advised to stay completely away from any activity that’ll startle them. Sometimes can good news can come as serious shock which can increase the blood pressure and affect the heart. Over excitement can also be a very terrible thing to deal with as a gambler, lack of emotional control in general can be dangerous. personally I feel like gambling shouldn't be able to control your mood because if it does then it means that you are not gambling the right way. being too excited after winning can lead to lots of mistakes, some gamblers even end up losing everything

I agree that it's a silent killer because addicted gamblers get depressed and abandoned which can lead to suicide. Imagine gamblers after losing big because they cannot face the shame from their actions since majority of them are not the owner of the money, they will think of committing suicide. The worse is if the addict did not accept the fact that he's addicted.
Yes you are extremely right, some addicted gamber can commit suicide because of how people shame them, which is very wrong. We should always remember that they are humans and everyone is bound to make mistakes. And nothing can change that fact. It is even a great thing for someone to realise his mistake and willing to amend, is not every one that has the courage to face or accept the truth. So, in a situation where an addict realises his mistake and was willing to change, the least he need from the society and family is support, motivation, encouragement and so on. We don't have to mock them for their mistakes, what happened to them can happen to anyone, because there is a possibility of it to happen. Mocking and shaming them is going to kill them silently. And in other to avoid these, the family and society should help them back into the community.

I believe gambling addiction is a silent killer. There are no symptoms; you may see a healthy person, but deep within, they are suffering from depression and physical disabilities. They may look happy outside, but deep inside, they are lonely and helpless.
What makes it a silent killer they starts unnoticed until it's accumulated over the years, and all the symptoms appear after so many years of concealing it.
I have read reports of physically healthy people, but once they start gambling, no one notices the changes in their appearance until they suffer from a heart attack and manic depression.
What are the other symptoms that you can think of that will make gambling addiction a silent killer? Let's explore this so we can inform.
Silent killer on their own perspective but for us who's normal, we can easily notice because they have the same act and behavior so we can easily determine which is which. The danger is on their selves, especially if they don't have family and friends, and you lack self-awareness, then that's a silent killer because the only thing you can rely on which is yourself aren't reliable anymore due to blinded by the addiction, thinking that you're still normal but already making your life miserable. That's why family and friends are there, they can easily notice what's wrong and of course, they can change the way you act, your hobbies and they can influence you good things to recover from addiction.

As i always say gambling shouldn't be seen as a method of earning quick money. Which this kind of mindset people become addicted to gambling later become emotional stess and that lead to serious financial problem. When people gamble beyond their limit the pressure and disappointment can become overwhelming which may bring depression and other harmful outcome. That's why responsible gambling is important. Knowing when to stop and gambling strictly and playing gamble for entertainment is crucial. Accepting loses and stoping when your limit breaks is also a sign of a good gambler.
Exactly, treating gambling to be a form of entertainment and not a working place, where one can be expecting payment, can make one to find it easy in adhering to the rules and regulations of gambling, which they will not be affected in any way if their plans or their predictions doesn't fall in place, which will also makes them to be able to know when to stop or quit from gambling. This will make them to have a fulfilled balance in gambling and in their lives as well without any stress.

Wouldn't even call it a silent killer actually. Recently I watched a documentary about the gambling addiction pandemic in Germany, there are so many cases. Even when asking google the numbers are staggering: "Approximately 1.3 million adults in Germany suffer from a gambling disorder, with a further 3.3 million exhibiting risky behavior and early signs of addiction, totaling over 4.6 million affected individuals." But yeah, in one sense it's really silent cause in most cases it just shows when it's already WAY too late, not physically, but mentally obviously. People lose money, that's true, but they are losing way more important things than that.

And that should be the last thing a gambler will have to experienced because it will not add value to your life, instead it brings in shame, sadness and so on. Which often leads one into depression and frustration just as you have stated, that is why its always encouraged for people to always take gambling as thing one can be entertained by and not a place to make quick money, which is why people should make the necessary adjustments before it gets out of hand, which can also help them in achieving their success. Having the right mindset that gambling is not a get rich quick scheme is important so you don't invest all your time and money into it, if you understand that there is no guarantee of winning you will caution yourself to gamble responsibly. To achieve this you need to have a total self control over your gambling habit, if you do you won't degenerate to become an addict which is a silent killer for the victim. I have heard stories of gamblers that committed suicide because they couldn't bear the shame and depression of losing everything they have and being in dept because of irresponsible gambling.

I think there's a big difference between gambling addiction and the desire to win back. Getting your money back is a normal feeling for everyone, and when we lose, we always have the hope that we can win it back another time. I don't see anything wrong with that, it's a normal desire. This is basic human greed, and it is the first step towards addiction. People do not realize it very fast, but they slowly become addicted to repeating the same process every day. The difference is, we general gamblers know our limit and we end our gambling session regardless of its outcome, while the addicted gamblers manage more money and want to win it back in the same session. They become desperate and want to risk their savings too just in the hope they can recover it. If you know your limits from the beginning and you can control yourself, you won't become addicted player.

You are right, gambling is not a shortcut to getting rich. Besides, no one can guarantee that he will win from gambling and make a profit and it is very important to accept this truth in gambling. And those who do not understand this reality make emotional decisions and bet big with all their money, some take loans and some sell their assets. And when it goes out of control, it becomes an extreme addiction. Although some gamble only for entertainment, they can also fall into addiction due to lack of control. However, when the financial deficit and debt burden gradually increases, a gambler falls into deep depression. Therefore, it is important to have responsibility and control.

Anger , Short Temper, Ability to loose right judgement would be the main issue for this. I saw a lot of people who do gambling regular they are not addicted but still they suffer in their life . Bonding with their family keep losing. Even though they are earning a day to day good , but in the end they are still in debt . A close member of my family gambler regular, Even though his payroll is quite handsome he tends to borrow money from everyone he can asks of.

Gaming addiction can be a real thing, but the point is that players must confront it and understand that if they don't keep the addiction under control, it will control them. I watched a couple of videos with stories from players who suffered from severe addiction, and that's what motivated me to resist gambling and be emotionally resilient. It's likely that many people haven't even seen this and think they can simply beat everyone, including Kaszino. But I want to say that you shouldn't be so overconfident, otherwise the game will reward overconfident players with the rank they deserve.

And those who do not understand this reality make emotional decisions and bet big with all their money, some take loans and some sell their assets... Gambling is always ,,under control,, until it isn’t. Everyone thinks ,,I'm different,, and ,,I know what I’m doing,, and then suddenly it turns out control isn’t a checkbox in the settings - it's a skill most people simply don’t have. As usual, the player just goes for one more try to break even. The whole ,,get rich quick,, thing is a classic too. If gambling actually worked as a fast track to wealth, casinos would’ve shut down ages ago and reopened as charities. Somehow, it’s always the other way around. Then comes the blame game: casinos, algorithms, RNGs, bad luck, moon phases, you name it. So yeah, the point is right, even if it’s not new, the moment you treat gambling like an investment, you’ve already lost. And if you think “that won’t happen to me" - don't worry, statistics will have a word with you.

A win makes people overconfident and increases the tendency to take risks, which often ends in uncontrolled losses, this often happens to many, but those who can maintain this control are the responsible ones, and in order to maintain this control we must always be careful and play according to the limitations, besides, it is never possible to avoid big losses.

Strangely enough, it's like an invitation to stop gambling, even though that's not the intention. Gambling promotions are so numerous and effective that companies are willing to allocate a large percentage of their budget to advertising. Gambling is considered a silent killer because of its addictive nature. All addictive behaviors are not limited to gambling. Anything that involves losing money but is addictive is not good, but if managed properly, it won't have a negative impact. What I mean is, gambling activities are not forced but done consciously, knowing that losing is an inevitable outcome. We have also read that players with heart conditions are not advised to gamble.

Sure, and that's how gamblers should treat gambling which is nothing more than just for entertainment, when you come with the right approach and goals then the adverse effects of gambling such as losing large amounts of money should not happen and quitting after losing will also not be a difficult action to do. But to arrive at such an approach is not easy, gamblers must first realize and admit that gambling is not a job and winning in it is nothing more than a bonus.

When people talk about this gambling addiction I ask myself if there is another gambling people are doing or it's influenced to make money. I don't know for people that doesn't have another source of income but I can speak for myself that I only gamble what I can afford to lose, I don't gamble because I need money for sickness treatment or maybe I want to live large, I just do it because I want to win or respective of the amount of money I put at risk. If gambling is that bad, I don't think the government will approve it for people to do. It has been for ages that gambling has been in existence but I just think that our kind generation are too hungry to make money. A teen that is suppose to be at school or learning something want to make money that a 45 years old is living large. The way teens want to make money is desperation and it's very bad. Social media has made us lost value in our society.

Any addiction negatively affects a person and their close environment, including gambling addiction. However, until a person becomes aware of the true scale of the problem, it is unlikely that anyone will be able to help them. I’ve also come across the view that gambling addiction is one of the hardest addictions to treat, because it does not pose an immediate threat to life or physical health. This makes it more difficult for a person to accurately assess the seriousness of the problem and to change their mindset and habits. So, in a sense, there is truth in the idea that gambling addiction can be a “silent killer” of everything good in an addicted person’s life, as it becomes difficult for them to distinguish the problem from what they perceive as normal behavior.
any kind of addiction is harmful to a person’s life, gambling addiction is one of them, gambling becomes most dangerous because it is not easy to notice at the beginning, people think they are in control, there are no immediate physical health problems, so everyone takes it lightly. but slowly its effects become serious, money runs out, family life becomes troubled, relationships with family members get worse. trust is broken, still many times a person does not realize that they have become addicted, until they accept the problem themselves,no one can really help them, that is why gambling addiction is called a silent killer, because it quietly destroys all the good things in a person’s life...

Addiction in gambling can cause a lot of mayhem in somebody's life and this is the more reason why people are always adviced to gamble responsibly . Gambling addiction can wreck a gambler both physically and emotionally. Imagine where a gambler will gamble to the extent of borrowing to gamble or even selling his or her own property in other to gamble, and by the time you record sequential losses with the property you have sold or even the money you have borrowed, you will start going down emotionally and physically. You will begin to think of how you can pay your debt and recover the properties you lost as a result of gambling addiction.

Been gambling addicted is very dangerous. I will agree with your point that gambling addicted is a silent killer, because facing too much depression is very bad, and that is what causes some gambling addicted persons to end up committing suicide. So, it is very important for every gambler to avoid being addicted. When someone is addicted, it leads them to many bad things. Those who were not lying before will start lying; someone who is hard to borrow money from will start borrowing money, selling their properties, and so on. In fact, gambling addicted makes some people act abnormal; it seems that they are not with their right senses again.

It is certainly difficult to recognize addicted people until they themselves reveal it or it appears on their face. Although there is no way to understand by looking at the face whether a person is addicted or not. However, I can feel how weak a person becomes inside when he is addicted. I have seen a friend of mine who is a very fickle person, but when he became addicted to gambling, I did not find any excitement in his face. Those who gamble is really devastated inside as they are outside. They cannot even speak. They are so damaged humanly that no trust can be found in their words. They show indifference in any work. Knowing the real condition of gamblers is now more difficult due to online gambling.
