This explanation helps calm me down. Also, if a person has already managed to build their wealth once, it means they have the knowledge, the capabilities, and the capacity to repeat that achievement. You have to believe in your own strength. And if thoughts arise that everything is going badly, give yourself some space, allow yourself a few days to cool down. If you can’t cope on your own, it’s better to ask for help. Give yourself the chance to grow even more in your own eyes, and look for better options for how you can earn more and become even more successful.

Misleading title, he didn't commit suicide because of bitcoin he did that because of his irresponsible behaviour.

True, that wasn’t because of Bitcoin itself, it was because the holder was careless and lost the private key. That shouldn’t be blamed on Bitcoin, it’s on the user. It’s the same idea as getting your online bank account hacked because you fell for phishing, you wouldn’t blame the bank for that, you’d blame your own mistake.

While I was reading an article I saw that a guy committed a suicide because he lost the phrase key associated to his Bitcoin wallet and he could not bear it , because he had a lot of Bitcoin stored in his wallet .
One thought came to me ; when their is life there is hope , you can’t take the life God gave to you freely , tho it might be painful but it not worth taking your own life . After you commit that suicide Bitcoin space will still continue that life .
Can you share your own view ; just assume you lost your phrase key accidentally or coincidentally what will be your first action .

This is difficult to speak logically because at a certain point, depression can cause people to lose their ability to think objectively, ultimately leading to wrong decisions that can harm themselves and those around them. Many cases of people committing suicide involve simpler issues, but can we really judge them from a true perspective? Of course not because sometimes this happens so quickly without a long process.

In my religion, there's a remedy for the heart that can be applied to those experiencing problems. Generally we're encouraged to surrender to the Creator in whatever situation we face. If we can get through moments like this, perhaps we'll be able to overcome the depression we're experiencing. Many suicides are sometimes senseless, but that's how they happen, especially when large sums of money are lost as in this case.

That probably should’ve been the right title, but I’m guessing OP made it that way on purpose, a bit of clickbait so people would open the thread.
Either way, this isn’t really something new.

And honestly, this one is on the user. If it’s the system that gets compromised and people blame Bitcoin, well it's understandable. But if it’s user negligence and they lose access to their balance, then that’s clearly on them. We can’t just shift the blame to Bitcoin or anyone else when the mistake is ours. It's sad and painful, but a lesson to people to be more conscious about handling anything related to pass phrase or key phrase where their asset is been kept. Just as many who invested in fiat do with their withdrawal card in handling their pin and ensuring it's not miss use or disposed to danger should also be the same for crypto investor just danger but lost of the pass phrase or key phrase because it's the only access to any amount of assets one accumulate. The most painful path of the very incident death or suicide don't solve problem but duplicate more problem for the people around or the family for instance of the investor borrowed money in buying most of this crypto asset taken his life can't pay the debt that is while is important to handle any important thing with care.

I don't know the internal reason why he commit suicide just because of losing seed phase but I think that guy take huge loan to buy bitcoin and when he lose the seed phase ultimately he loses all his loan money, now he can't pay that back so That why he commit suicide. Well it's possible but I don't know the actual reason. Committing suicide just for some bucks I don't think someone would do that.

If its really happen, then maybe that person bought Bitcoin in bulk with his income or wealth throughout his life. Losing the seed phase means he lost his Bitcoin. He will no longer be able to access his wealth. It is natural for a person to have a bad mental state in such an economic disaster. Maybe that person's condition became worse that's why he was forced to make such a bad decision. I myself witnessed an incident where a person committed suicide because his debt was too high. So if someone is under mental stress for a long time, then suddenly he makes a very big and dangerous decision even because of a small incident. After that, every person should love and value himself and his life the most, no matter what happens in life.

It depends on each mental health, like if that person is much capable to bear the pain behind lost earned money. And i believe that the person with healthy mentality will not committed sucide and you have already answered yourself in your own post. I mean you said that where there is life there is a hope. And money can be earned again but committing suicide is not a solution to get back that lost money.

Is this true? If so, I would say that the man was very stupid. Or there could be some other reason behind his death, maybe he was very upset about losing the bitcoins. But whatever the case, it is always impossible for a normal person to commit suicide. Maybe he did not commit suicide because of the bitcoins, but because of his lack of self-control. Did he get his bitcoins back after dying? Of course he did not, but if he had lived, he could have tried again, in which case he could have gotten the bitcoins back. It's natural to feel hurt when you lose something of value like Bitcoin. You will blame yourself for losing such valuable things but I don't think that I can kill myself for any reason you can actually start all over even if you lose the key to accessing your Bitcoin because there's no wisdom in killing yourself over something that you acquired with your hard earned money. Alright, let keep the suicide aside and make correction to the reason why he commited suicide which literally wasn't because of bitcoin but because he lost his keys from his irresponsible practice of safekeeping it, which I think should be one of the simplest things to do, having your keys stationed securely in different distant locations where just you alone can always have access to. I think it’s a huge mistake to suicide just because you lost something. It only means that you and the Bitcoins aren’t meant to be each other or maybe something better coming in your side. I agree with those who are saying that the reason behind his suicide wasn't Bitcoin but it was his own negligence and carelessness, because if he wasn't careless, he wouldn't lose the seed phrase so easily. Those who are careful and always mentally aware of everything would never make a single copy of the seed phrase and keep it in a single place when they know that they have a large amount of bitcoins in the wallet, and if they do this, this is pure negligence, and then if they take such an extreme step after losing the seed phrase, it's not because of Bitcoin at all, and we shouldn't call it that and make Bitcoin look bad.

To share my view on this, I would say that it's completely foolish for someone to take their life with their own hands, and I believe only those who don't have the courage to face their problems take such steps, and a human being should be strong enough to face anything that comes in front of them in life. There can be major problems in life, but that doesn't mean we should end our life instead of facing those problems with courage and stand tall and firm.

surely there is no body in that condition that will not feel emotionally diverstated, but however taking ones life is not the best option. for me i believe that so far there is life there is hope and taking my life for losing of access to my wallet is not the best option. that is why it is good to diversify into different wallet incase matter like this arises, it will not affect you that much because you will still have some fund backed up somewhere. but if you only have only one wallet where all your fund are stacked, and you eventually lose them, definitely committing suicide will be your reasoning. but like i said there is nothing that worth taking ones life for. and money is not an option.

There is always the other side of the coin. Maybe the man put himself in a huge debt to buy bitcoin hoping it will grow, paid off loan and get some profit out of it.

If he was in that situation, losing it all just because losing the seed phrase will be devastating. Though i have the same opinion as you, losing money isn't a justification for a suicide, never will.

Actually I feel very bad after reading this story, it is a sad story. But I don't know if this story is true, if it is true then like others I would like to say that he had to commit suicide because of his irresponsibility, here we can't blame Bitcoin. If he had stored his private key carefully, then he wouldn't have lost his holdings. And many people suggest that you should not invest more money in Bitcoin than you can afford to lose, you should have invested considering this. He committed suicide, what is the benefit here? If he had lived, he could have started again and maybe deposited more money than what he lost. Now I don't know if this story is true or false but we should learn from this that we should store our wallet's private key carefully.
