It's more good if OP sharing the link about this story because we can know who is the dumbiest people who commited suicide because only lost the access to his wallet and speaking about lost seed phase to access the wallet indeed i have been read and heard the stories like this indeed those people are regretting their mistakes the causes why these people didn't concern to their wallet because at that time they never thought bitcoin prices is so high but they have been realize their mistakes after seeing the prices so high and want to sell their bitcoin which they buy before years ago but unfortunately there was no way back because lost seed phase mean lost the bitcoin too and nothing you can do unless let it happend

It might be related to Bitcoin, but it wasn't Bitcoin that's the reason why he committed suicide. It's how he handled the wallet that's the reason why he lost that money.

Anyway I don't want to focus on that one, but I don't see myself doing the same as what the OP has shared. Committing suicide over losing my Bitcoin holdings? That might be the same as losing significant amount of money in gambling, but it will not go to a point that I will commit suicide regardless of how much Bitcoin or money I lost for whatever reason it is. I see my life as something more precious than Bitcoin, money or whatever it is, so I will not commit suicide just because of those (assuming that I lost it because of how I handled my wallet).

If I lost my seed phrase, of course my first action is to try and find a way to access those because if a person lost their money, the first thing that they will do is to find it, right? That's the first thing that I will do as well. Now if I already did every possible solution that I see and I still can't access it then that might be the time to just forget about it, move on and move forward. It's hard yes, but that's what you get if you mishandled your seed phrase. As for the story that OP shared, there's a bit of a sus on it because anybody can share any story here whether it really happened or not.

Once you lost your private keys, then everything could lead into losing your bitcoin. And when that happens, in my case, I think I would be very depressed and frustrated. So I have to buy again and hold, and just repeat the process, that's the only way so that frustration will be lessen in time.

Committing suicide, that's just an act of foolish and irresponsible individuals. We may lose our bitcoin, buy hey bitcoin is not a do or die. We can proceed to earning again with bitcoin, or shift into other investments that we think there is less risk and less stress if ever. But never reach to end your life, there's always a solution to every problem given in life.

I am accumulating bitcoin for almost 2 cycles so if I lose the keys to all of them then it will definitely hurt me financially and can even go broke stage but this isn't the first time for me so I will say I will find a way to come out of this and this isn't the end of the world.

That's why we need to set boundaries by diversifying into other assets we consider potential so that losing one doesn't cause stress or frustration. Sometimes we think this is ridiculous, but I believe that frustration caused by various factors does occur. Many people commit suicide because they are unable to manage their frustration properly, leading them to take the wrong action.

We also don't know how devastated someone is when this happens and when there's no one to encourage them, they sometimes feel alone and without support. It's important to have someone close to guide the emotional process so the person doesn't take actions that could endanger their life. Hopefully this doesn't happen to any of us here.

You must be joking, mistakes like this are never forgotten expect what you had inside the bitcoin wallet was simply a few hundreds or a few thousand dollars..
Imagine you have struggled all your life since you got learn about bitcoin, you struggle to make money and pour almost all that money into bitcoin, sometime you even go to bed hungry, you trek because there's no money to take a public transport, you deprive yourself good life, good clothes, good shoes, wrist watches and every other thing you really love and would like to have simply because you we saving in bitcoin for a better future, and one day, just one day, and you have already save up more money than you've ever seen in your lifetime, you've managed to own 1 bitcoin + in that wallet and one day, you discover you can no longer access the wallet because you have lost the seed phrase or private keys to the wallet..

I may not commit suicide if I ever find myself in a situation like this, but I am not going to lie to myself and to others that I will forget the thought, it's impossible to forget but I will just bear the loss and the pain that comes with it and move on with living no matter how hard it will be.

Many people that have lost the seed phrase to their bitcoin are many today that are living fine and not allow the situation to make them take drastic actions on themselves. One thing about this life is that, what is meant for you won’t pass you by and what is not meant for you to benefit from, even if they’re within your reach, they’ll find their way out and you will forever imagine how all that happened. Committing suicide should not even be your last resort against anything that happens to you in this life. This life is a life of test, so you have to remain strong to be able to pass through the test strong and come out better.

People still committing suicide about their loss of bitcoin bitcoin just because they don’t have an access to it have just demean themselves the more, they’ve belittle themselves and call themselves a failure. This is now what they should do but rather focus on the bigger opportunities ahead waiting for them because as long as you’re alive, bigger opportunities will come that could even be better than Bitcoin you’d lost access to. A link to this story of yours would have been better for further explanation and understanding because no normal person will ever think of such, taking his precious life over some stuff that he can still get back over time, unless the supposed person has already been killed in the other world and perfecting it physically and making it look as if it was Bitcoin that caused it.

However, any dude that end up his life in such a way is not fit to be called a man because real men don't let themselves to be controlled by their emotions or circumstances sorounding them so crying 😭 for such person is a completely waste of tears because he just ended a precious life he can't give back.

Anyway, loosing your money is no reason to end it all. I doubt there are many people in this forum who don't like money at all, but loosing all one's worldly possessions (which can happen to anyone) isn't necessarily the life-ending disaster it might appear to be. Just consider that many religions preach the virtues of poverty. Also, many of the people still remembered today for their accomplishments, long after they died, lived lives of poverty, sometimes extreme poverty. Personally, I'd rather live a full life and also have plenty. Who wouldn't. Even so, loosing it all can turn out to be a blessing in disguise, who knows?

Whoever it is, me or you, maybe someone else, losing the key to the phrase Bitcoin means the same as losing the digital treasures/assets that we have.

But personally, I didn't commit suicide, I thought it was a disaster, let's just say my money was stolen, I'm grateful that I'm still given health and a long life for now. maybe I will learn from the mistake I once made, eliminating the Bitcoin key phrase, with this incident I will not happen a second time.

In general, if you think about it, suicide is not the end of everything, in fact I think it is even more complicated in other realms, because all suicide religions have their consequences and punishments in other realms, therefore if we think positively of course all problems can be resolved well.

In my case, if I lost my wallet key, I wouldn't do anything like commit suicide, but it would be very bad. Maybe the guy lost his key and faced a situation where he couldn't control himself anymore, which is why he chose a heinous path like suicide.
However, suicide is not a solution, rather it is a path where a family will face bad situations only for him at different times. He might have been able to guide his family well if he was alive, but after his death, if his family is still there, then they will fall into financial problems. That is why suicide can never be the right path for a person to solve.

I didn't read the article, but maybe the guy had saved all his life money and bought Bitcoin with some kind of future plan, and this loss of his private key may have taken away that plan and all hope for a better future. In cases like these, people choose to give up on life because they start to think:

- How will they live?

- Who will give them money for food? For clothes?

- Who will pay their bills like gas, water, and electricity?

They look around and see no one, and in many cases, people suffer from depression that worsens when they lose something very important and commit suicide.

Ignorance is the reason why people take actions like this, because they feel that it is the end of life for them at that moment, but it is not true. Committing suicide because of bitcoin that you can have again is misguided, and it is possible that the one you will have again will be even much better than the one that was lost.

Your second paragraph eased the question i intended to ask concerning the first paragraph, If you indeed think suicide was the best option. Let's keep aside that he invested in Bitcoin, what about those who invest in something else and lose everything, what about those business men who invest and the whole project collapse, whoever commits suicides because he/she lost huge capital doesn't know what life is about, every investment carries risk, and some are unlucky even for investments with the slightest risk like Bitcoin.

Tragic situations are definitely difficult to forget, you don't need to forget also, so you learn from the mistakes, the thought of suicide haven't crossed my mind over how many times i find myself in a tough situation, people can be too careless with taking decisions.

OP didn't drop any source, so that we can get the entire story. My guess is that there might be other factors that have contributed to this suicide. Some people are suffering from mental health issues that a slight discomfort would trigger suicidal thoughts. It is also common to hear that people who are in debt commit suicide due to business failures. However, no situation should make anyone commit suicide because everything in life can be recovered.

Any link for reference? I am not ignoring that something would happen like this, just curious to read the full story how it was happened actually. So we can learn a lesson from where we can save our lives. I don't know when he accumulated Bitcoin, and I won't call him stupid either. Because he would accumulate during that time when people weren't so serious about their wallets since the Bitcoin price wasn't countable. When price is price goes up he might realize about his Bitcoin holding value and he lost control of himself hence committed suicide. Rather than call him stupid, I will call it an accident. Accidents would happen with anyone at any time.

So if that accident happen with me, I can encounter it since I have a past experience and familiar with lost everything though not through crypto. Once upon a time I had lost all the capital that I earned in my life. I lost it suddenly and were broken, I haven't even go out from the home for few days. But instead thinking about suicide I start thinking how again I can earn money. Recovering myself wasn't hard since I earned and know how to earn. I thought, 'I am still alive, and I have to survive for my children and my family.' So I start again earning, then money starts coming faster than the previous. I start working harder, and as a result, my neighbour is jealous of me because of my luxurious lifestyle. If something happens again, I won't attempt suicide. Because I have to survive, I learnt to earn and will earn.

To lose a seed phrase will definitely hurt badly, without doubt. But it can not be compared to ones life for no asset is worth any life. Bitcoin can be built again if lost, skills can still be reused, and time has the tendency of healing losses. The first action I would take is to pause completely. Without decisions, no panic. Go away, get some rest, talk to somebody I truly trust, and then remind myself that money is only a tool, it isn't my worth or identity.  As the shock fades out, I begin to focus on rebuilding gradually and this time wiser. Bitcoin goes on, yes. Though you life is far more important than any wallet balance.
