drugs and gambling both destroy a person’s life but the way they do it is different, drugs directly harm the body and the brain, health gets worse, working ability decreases, family problems increase and the risk of crime and death comes very quickly, this kind of destruction is visible, it happens fast and everyone can understand that something very bad is happening.

on the other hand gambling destroys a person slowly, it starts with fun then turns into loss, at one point everything goes out of control, after losing money debts begin, lies increase, relationships break, mental stress and depression grow, self respect is lost, the most dangerous part of gambling is that a person does not even realize when they have entered the path of destruction, so it can be said that drugs take life quickly while gambling slowly takes away the whole life...

Honestly they work together hand in hand. You will find that taking the drugs may become associated with gambling because people often do them together. In doing that the drugs impair judgement even more and assist with this slow drain of metal cognitive ability and also your wallet!!! Unless of course they just get absolutely smashed and win the lotto and make millions which can happen but these habits dont go away the problems just become better quality drugs and higher gsmbling losses lol

Addiction of any form is bad and they all have different ways that they affect lives negatively, whether it's addiction in gambling, alcohol and drugs or any other forms it doesn't end well for the victims. Alcohol addiction is more visible than gambling addiction, alcohol addicts often misbehave when they are excessively drunk but it can take a while to know a gambling addict because they will appear normal but deep down they are troubled. I don't think that it is necessary to be comparing which type of addiction is worse than the rest because nobody will like to take the look lesser addiction.
Drug addiction and gambling addiction are not the same and they shouldn't be compared you are right about that. people who are addicted to drugs are affected in a certain way that's different from gambling addiction, you can only connect this if the gambler is also addicted to drugs. Dealing with two addictions can be damaging, one destroys your health and the other affects you psychologically.
There is no room for belittling any addiction. Because any addiction can lead a person to destruction. A drug addict has a direct change in the physical condition of the person which is visible but gambling addiction is different and it is not visible or it may take a long time to understand it. Both can bring great harm to a person's life. Even if there is no change in the person's behavior as a result of gambling addiction, there is a lot of regret inside which gradually has a negative impact on the gambler's life. The impact of these two addictions is negative and there is some similarity. If the gambler wants to come back from addiction, it is possible. There are many gamblers who were addicted at one time but later recovered from that addiction but in the case of those who became addicted by taking drugs, most of them remained addicted until death.

Yes, I agree with you, change can happen and be achieved either independently or with help from others who encourage the addict. Change for the better will be difficult if the addict has no desire to recover from their addiction, even though they may be aware that what they are doing is wrong. However, because they have no intention of recovering, they will simply continue gambling and may ignore the advice of others who are trying to help them change.

I actually concur with this argument. Both drugs and gambling are self-destructive entities but when the two combine, they form a vicious circle that may destroy the life of an individual in a very short period of time. Gambling is a source of false hope and financial strain, drugs diminish judgment and restraint and thus it is even more difficult to quit. It does not only affect the addict, families are also affected emotionally, mentally and financially as they stand and watch the person they love just shatter. Encouragement and support are also valued, however, the change cannot occur without the individual embracing the issue and actually being interested in getting better. There is little that can be done to counteract this destructive cycle without such an inner determination, and counseling and assistance can be disregarded.
Being trapped in a vicious cycle of one or even both is indeed bad; both can destroy us gradually or even quickly and suddenly. Gambling will cause problems, especially with our finances, if we engage in it excessively, but problems will not arise if we can control ourselves well. Unfortunately, some people tend to repeat their mistakes. And yes, only a few people can fight this addiction, which happens to people who are truly determined to recover, because getting out of gambling or drug addiction is difficult.

As for how quickly your life is destroyed, I'd argue with the "gambling destroys slowly" argument. In reality, any addiction can quickly destroy your life. Drugs can quickly destroy you physically, and gambling addiction can quickly destroy your life financially. However, drugs can also be soft (like smoking cigarettes), and addiction can be relatively manageable and not have catastrophic consequences.
I agree with you. If you are not addicted to anything, the possibility of  loss amount is less. There are many who take drugs but it is sometimes and not at all regular. It is not that they cannot live without drugs. We cannot call them addicted. Similarly, those who gamble for entertainment and responsibly are less likely to become addicted and less likely to cause harm. However, there is no doubt that if people are addicted to gambling and drugs, they suffer a lot of physical, mental and economic harm.
