You’re right that they’re both destructive, but they’re not the same kind of enemy. Drugs attack the body from the outside and make the damage obvious, while gambling works quietly on the mind, rewriting priorities and judgment until a person’s life collapses from the inside. One kills fast and visibly, the other erodes identity, trust, and purpose so slowly that the victim often realizes it only when there’s almost nothing left. Both are addictions, so it can destroy a person slowly or very quick, as what we have seen in another thread wherein someone takes his life because he has a lot of debt due to his gambling. Same with addicts, maybe he has a lot of debts to and then he is under pressure from drug lords or those that peddle drugs to him.

I have friends who are drug addicts. (Methamphetamine Hydrochloride) Some of them have borrowed money from me and never paid back, but I don't really remind them anymore or collect it. But they cannot borrow anymore after I learned that they are using it for drugs. It truly destroyed their lives, and I wish they would stop now, but I doubt that.

In gambling addiction, I have seen only one in my circle who is suffering from it. He never borrowed money from me yet because he has a business, but I can see that he is also struggling financially. No, your assumption is terribly wrong. I personally can't understand how can you think like that and earn money on promoting a gambling site, taking the money every week. Do you think making money off someone’s grief is a normal thing to do? Oh, poor thing! This world is not that bad.
