So....We have had timelock collectables thru the years but not one good website is out there to really decode and tell you if the transaction is still valid or not.

Think of what Yogg did and you will understand why I wanted to make one for us collectors.

So I have asked Hybridsole (genius) to revamp my www.hodlpills.com and www.bitcoinpills.com website.

As I am so passionate and fascinated about timelocks  I asked him to also create a bitcoin transaction decoder

where all a person has to do is paste or use the camera feature (yes a camera) and then decode. For the technical person it will decode BUT also for the non technical

person it will show you if your TIMELOCK is still valid or not as you can see from the pics below so they have peace of mind that all is well.

Code:
0200000000010197478458771cab1332602ca150bc5f8d0ccdf6281f7b3d28dd43868dea15bd0b0000000000fdffffff01a226000000000000160014674f0012f39926910489078a9a987463d6ced8f202473044022021173e4bd7b82ebd4dca2881928aba75788a7024508b3fc5b0374733e54ea4ac02200f211baa11752ce5b6a42eee727c80b684213491fb48d94db30974b3cc3dffa501210364f9897d4664df90ff6d6b721011f0579dad9f540021818a0f23485c5be4c50d519d86f4

The left is a timelock with underlaying funds intact...the right one is with underalying funds swept...exactly what YOGG did.

Haha.....if the funds were still there...but as I demonstrated I swept them so you can see the decoder notifying you the tx timelock is invalid

@Goldlyre:

AI Fer ya.... Wink

A Bitcoin timelock is a consensus-enforced rule that prevents coins from being spent until a specific block height, timestamp, or a certain number of blocks after receipt, using either absolute timelocks (nLockTime / OP_CHECKLOCKTIMEVERIFY) or relative timelocks (nSequence / OP_CHECKSEQUENCEVERIFY).

The checking mechanism is necessary because every Bitcoin node must independently verify that the time condition is satisfied before accepting a transaction, ensuring that no miner or attacker can bypass or prematurely spend locked funds—this validation is what makes timelocks trustless and reliable rather than dependent on any single wallet, server, or clock.

This design is very interesting. Is it based on nLockTime from 2009 or on BIP65 (CLTV)?

Also, how does bitcoinpills address the trust issue of whether private keys are stored during the development phase?

As you can see from the code its nLockTime

You mean how I generate my keys and dispose of them once applied? Keys are generated on an air gap computer and never stored once printed.

Same applies to any wallets generated for the time locks. So no keys are stored in any way....generated...printed...destroyed in air gap...and printed paper wallets inserted in pills.

My reputation speaks for itself if that is what you are hinting at.

And of course once the nlocktime arrives and passes you can also broadcast the transaction from this very website. Again courtesy of Hybrid

I absolutely love this orange capsule design; it perfectly embodies the spirit of Bitcoin holer, I have two questions.

How can I ensure the input UTXO won't be double-spent or invalidated by the issuer before the unlock date in 2050?

Since the transaction fee is hardcoded now, what happens if the pre-set miner fee is insufficient to be confirmed by the network in 2050? Is RBF or CPFP supported

  Great questions all around again.

How can I ensure the input UTXO won't be double-spent or invalidated by the issuer before the unlock date in 2050?

You cannot ensure that the issuer will not sweep your funds. Just like any physical bitcoin creator, TRUST is everything. If its something that you cannot live with in the back of your head then I would not recommend buying from me at all. Or from anyone else for that matter. I can be the biggest scammer to come your way since Yogg right? You can never know. You either trust or you don't. I am in the same boat when I buy collectables and have such high value like Bitbills and Cas items that if it was not for me to trust those makers then I would not be hodling them.

So no matter how I tell you to check my reputation and all that good stuff, its really up to you. If you don't then do not buy period...you will sleep better.

Yes it is RBF supported.  The miners fee I set now is over at $1 and sometimes higher depending on the UTXO size. I am sure that $1 amount in SATS will be worth much much more in the future and will be more than enough for the TX. See below..

This design is flawless and highly innovative. Have you considered using the CLTV scheme?

It allows for on-chain balance checks before the expiration date, but would it be more cumbersome for end users than nLockTime?

It allows for on-chain balance checks before the expiration date, but would it be more cumbersome for end users than nLockTime?

Aye I did look into it but too complicated as mentioned. This is by far easier for everyone involved.

Thank you for your patient explanation. I think I'll buy my child an orange capsule; it's so much fun!
