Mymonero.co just steals funds as soon as you input a private key on their website.
Today I lost $2000 in XMR.
I've made a research before using them but haven't found anything, and tried them.
I used web wallets before, but never lost anything, only today and with mymonero.co

First of all, sorry for your loss, but also, why would you enter your private key at a website?? What sense does this make?

When I tried to check the site just out of curiosity I got this warning and didn't move on obviously. So basically the writing was on the wall before even going on the site.



Next time be more careful and NEVER, for no reason at all, enter your private keys anywhere.

This is clearly a fake website as the official website for the MyMonero wallet is mymonero.com, not mymonero.co.
MyMonero also is no longer maintained and users are encouraged to move to Cake Wallet instead (as per the notice on their main page).
So I’m really curious yo know how you came across this fake website, was it a typo when trying to type the official domain?

In any case, it’s not advised to use web wallets or to share your private keys/seeds with anyone or type them on any website regardless of how legit it may seem.

Yes, you are right, of course. Private keys is something sharks and other predators are looking for, permanently.
However, using private keys directly helps save time which is more valuable than money, sometimes.
I never had problems with web wallets before.

Regarding your other questions, my browser didn't open MyMonero.com. Then I saw myMonero.co, looked for reviews on TrustPilot, found nothing, and my thought was that it's just a recent mirror of MyMonero.com. I decided to risk to save time - and lost both, time and money.

Thank for share... I am not a Monero user but this can be useful in general.
 It Is a good way to make always a deep search about any website or app that request private key or a direct connection like with a wallet.
Unfortunately this Is an old trick used by scammers... At least reporting here (thanks to seo of round) would avoid people falling on scam if they do a proper research

Why weren't you suspicious that you couldn't find anything about them?
It doesn't have to be negative, sometimes even "positive" feedback can tell you a lot about a service. There are so many red flags here, it's really strange that you risked money so easily on an anonymous site.

I haven't encountered one brother, and I will question the intention if there is one. I hold on to my belief, not your keys, not your coins.
The platform is only a few months old and has very little information and no legit reviews. OP falls to every holder's mistake, and that is doing research first, again, another costly error.

Still, there's no reason for you to type it on a live website.

When dealing with private keys, treat them like cold wallets - download the HTML page source if you trust it, disconnect the internet connection, then restore the wallet - create transactions as you see fit, after that then you can transport the signed transaction to a live computer for you to broadcast.

Every service has an alternative, there is no need to insist on using a site that requires a private key. I don't think there can be a bigger red flag. Playing between online and offline seems risky to me, and I would definitely prefer to look for a simpler alternative.

You've done research and found nothing, maybe because you are their first victim, that's not how you do research, trying out a new platform, because you do not find any reviews, and oh, you forgot the basics of all basic not your key,s not your coins, and you did it on a new site.
I think you need to pause and examine your knowledge of Cryptocurrency and how to protect your coins. This is one costly mistake that will keep getting in your head.
