Over one million people without power in the US right now, expected to be down for days with a extreme cold warning.  Canada has storms like these all the time, but we don't lose power.   Your utility companies take your nice weather for granted, so they fail when a little ice forms. 

I wonder if they have these problems on their Greenland bases.
