Well there are many women in our country that's been skeptical about investing in Bitcoin cause of that mentality, many of them feel that involving in cryptocurrency is a man's thing and have missed good opportunities of buying Bitcoin cheaper. For those of you who have close female friends, sisters and maybe a spouse, ask them about what they think about investing in Bitcoin and here their statement, share your experience in this thread.
What may have affected her reasoning was basically the environment at which she finds herself, her peers don't share the same vision that has to do with Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency, if not for the statement that investing in Bitcoin is a man thing, it is no different than a man who also haven't known Bitcoin should accept, of course he would try to decline the advise.

I know of ladies who gets paid in cryptocurrencies by doing remote jobs, I will actually assume she's just giving excuse if i was the one she said that to, people give excuses when then are not ready to learn.

Normally women dont like going into what has more risk. It is not as if they dont like crypto but they think the risk is to much for them to bear. But even at that their are many women who are into cryptocurrency this days, it was some years back that cryptocurrency is seen as a man thing. Both men are embracing the digital market in this recent time and this is why we are having more women in the cryptocurrency.  Women are investing in cryptocurrency and their are still women who are ignorant in cryptocurrency and sees it as a no go area to go into.

Obviously cryptocurrency and its usage isn't for one gender alone and in this age, anyone who suggests or says it's so is in my opinion, ignorant or just plain stupid. But then, I'm not entirely surprised on the statement made by the lady friend of the OP. There are some fields that are seemingly male dominated, hence the apprehension from females wanting to delve into that field.
I think It's quite the same with gambling. The social norms are changing and not what it used to be. People are free to do whatever they want to do. It works both ways as you would hardly see a male hair stylist or a nail technician in the 1900s but today, there are guys taking care of people nails and hair.

Mindset! Mindset dey play important roles for our life and e dey very important to have good mindset if we want to succeed. Basically most people that have that mindset that a space of business, investment or opportunities are ‘Men things’ aren’t ready to face the world and the challenges to change their lives and they’re using that phrase as an excuse.

Crypto or Bitcoin as far as I know is dominated by men but they’re lots of women actively investing and using them, some are known and others are anonymous you wouldn’t even know they’re females.  Many men dominated field today have lots of women actively trying to enter the field and in Nigeria here sef women wey dey some men Dominated field before don even pass the men for that field right now.

This is 2026 and some Nigerian women should stop being entitled to men's money they should stop having that mentality everything would be settled once they get married to a rich man while they sit at home enjoying the wealth someone sacrificed to make, I feel so ashamed as a woman when I see my fellow women with such mindset.

However I heard cases of how some men try to take advantage of women who go to them to acquire basic knowledge of cryptocurrency it makes no sense, maybe that's why some women don't really put interest in it. Although it's not an excuse though since they can still join forums like these where education about Bitcoin much conditions but your willingness to learn.
This is 2026, and the plague has become even worse. If we are expecting things to change, it wont happen. I understand men have become wiser in recent years, especially in 2025, and now in 2026. However, some men wont mind giving women their money because they have enough for themselves and enough to lavish. Also, most women who are not favorable with the lifestyle, perhaps due to a lack of beauty or body structure. While some of them are still trying to do artificial body and all of that, some of them have ventured into becoming an independent woman.

Of course cryptocurrency is for every body not for men alone, I believe it has been said and heard countless times without exception that cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) is for all not for a particular gender to explore, gone are those days people will say that women are fit in into some business or investment, these days, we see women doing everything talk more of cryptocurrency(Bitcoin) that's has much benefit an innovation itself, despite that the number women that have investment in this space are not to be compared to other gender, but I can tell us that there are more women in this space now than it was earlier, more women now know what Bitcoin is and how beneficial it can to thme in the future.

There is no investment that is meant for men alone , what matters is ability and courage. Statistically, the men are dominating the cryptocurrency investing and I feel the reason is because, the men are more acquainted with cryptocurrency investment than the women. We need to bring the women into cryptocurrency market, let their number be increased, to do this I think the women should be sensitized about cryptocurrency investing, they should see the reason why they should be involved in the business and should not leave it for men alone. Investing is for everyone, I see few women in the cryptocurrency market, let the rest of them see it as a challenge and get involved.

Cryptocurrency space is very open to everybody, including meal and female,  old and young.  Cryptocurrency does not discriminate gender and everyone have equal and fair opportunities in crypto industry, but the level of success depends on the kind of knowledge and information you have at your disposal,  how you control and manage your emotions, and level of discipline and risk management.

There are women who are into cryptocurrency investment and trading, and most of them are doing very well in the crypto industry.  Though crypto industry is dominated by a majority number of men then women, but that does not mean that the industry is only for men .
Women not following up the crypto industry in a large number could be as a result of them not being strong enough to manage and control their emotions due to losses and uncertainties which are encountered in the crypto space. It could also be as a result of ignorance of what cryptocurrency is all about and the benefit of it. Women not found in crypto space in a large number could also be that the one's that have heard about cryptocurrency are skeptical about it and also have the mentality that cryptocurrency is for men.

I wont be surprised if that is coming from a woman. Most women in the soceity feel that becoming wealthy through business and investment is a Man's thing to do. While the way for them to reach that status is by dating a man with that status or getting married to the man. Their wealth is dependent on a man. They cant boast of anything themselves. Although, there are still few woman who understand the benefit of investing in crypto, stocks and mutual funds. At least you were able to let her understand that Bitcoin does not dicriminate any gender. Anyone with the capital and dscipline can start their investment journey in Bitcoin.
I don't know whether to call it an African mentality or a global mentality that women have that their wealth is dependent on men. Whichever it is, women have to have a change of mentality, which I believe they are doing, engaging in different businesses and learning to become their own bosses without relying on men to provide all their needs for them.

In the aspect of crypto for women, women haven't found themselves fully involved in crypto compared to men. But with the way the world is pushing into digitalization, women are advancing into it and no longer limiting themselves into be with a man to be complete. They want their own financial freedom, which many are choosing crypto investment for that.

We have more women who are not interested in the wealth of a man, rather they struggle to build an empire of wealth to be financially independent.
The way people sees crypto differ base on there side of view or what they have been told about it, this is what makes it more complicated as it's seen to be more of men and not woman business. If we look very well most digital works are done by men Maybe because it requires concentration, calculation and other logistical features.
I discovered that women prefer doing businesses they can see feel or touch. There is need for awareness mostly amongst the female gender, they should also come and enjoy from the plenty benefits in crypto, confidence and safety.

We now live in an era where making money is no longer a mystery, making money from cryptocurrency is not gender based,. women are now actively involved in the crypto market. like the topic says, cryptocurrency is not just for men alone,  making money is not supposed to be a gender thing. A friend of mine said she isn't going to invest in bitcoin or trade because she feels like she isn't smart for it and a lot of.women feel this way.

You're right bitcoin investment is for everyone rather it is left for us to decide, just like you said about telling your friend to invest in bitcoin and she answered and said that she's not smart enough to invest in bitcoin and I noticed that this feeling is very common among female gender because I also asked a friend of mine to join bitcointalk first she didn't say no" to me but after going through the topics/ threads then she conclude that she don't think if she can cope because everything is very complex, not knowing that with time she will cope. The truth is that women doesn't like stress but most of them failed to understand that we are no longer in that era, nowadays if you don't have anything to offer you can't associate with the wealthy people.

Well cryptocurrency is not limited by any categories of person been women or men anyone is permitted to use cryptocurrency irrespective of the gender, for the fact that he or she is (18)years and above and can read and write, cryptocurrency is designed and subject to everyone maybe the people that your friend has come across is only men and that is based on her own perspective and how she understand it,to me I have seen Numbers of women involving in cryptocurrency investment, and not only men, then if you said cryptocurrency is men dominate it simply means making of money too is for men alone, because cryptocurrency is for investment which everyone comes in to invest and withdraw at the harvest time.

It might be right that the crypto space is dominated by men currently but that doesn't mean that women doesn't have a role to play as well. This post was inspired by a conversation with a close friend days ago, and it made me take my time to research on women doing very well in the crypto space. https://capital.com/en-int/analysis/50-women-investors-with-enviable-investment-portfolios

I have this friend who's hardworking, she's a nail technician and makes cool cash from her works daily, anyways what transpired was that she talked about joining a monthly contribution to save, since she makes a fair amount of cash and needs to start saving, I advised her on investing in Bitcoin and she turned it down saying it's a men's thing, it got me surprised which made me sit her down to explain the benefits of doing it and how easy it is just by knowing the basics, according to what I've learnt from this platform, surprisingly she picked interest after my explanations and said she'll give it a second thought.

In almost any financial field you will find men dominating and most time is just becuase of that notion that men are providers, so you wiill often always see them looking for way to make money and it is no surprise that dem dominate the crypto space as well although if im being honest when i started my journey alot of the persons i interacted with were females and but not at the top of the chain yet, maybe that was just then but it still speaks to that dominance in the space.

You are right and I think the reason why women are more scared about gambling is because they are people who are deeply rooted in emotions, they can easily be emotionally drained and will still heal slowly out of that. When a man losts a bet, he can easily pack himself together and hope for another game to bring another luck but a woman can hold that lose and allow it disturbs her for a longer period of time.

Women are less likely to participate in gambling not because they cannot do better than men because I’ve seen women excel exceptionally when it comes to games of luck not gambling alone and I think same luck is most likely will make them win gambling games if they participate more. Let me leave this as a footnote: As a boyfriend, I won’t allow my girlfriend or wife to gamble for whatsoever reasons.

We live in an era now where making money has become easy and there is form of gate keeping because you can learn anything you want about making money online, be it trading, investments and so on. This is the reason why cryptocurrency isn't a gender based thing, some women are now taking advantage of it but there are others that are still thinking that they are not smart enough to invest in it because they are not men, that's a wrong mentality.

Life generally isn't gender based and so as Cryptocurrency, I have someone who is female and she does make-up and this person makes a lot of money from this business, I know also a guy that does make-up also and he is excelling in this profession, we can as well see where a female drives a public transport even though it's more like a male job.
It's also true that cryptocurrency is occupied mainly by male gender but then we also have female gender that re doing very well, so cryptocurrency isn't a gender based thing
