Greed could only be the reason why the users won't want to cash out even after seeing such an amount of loss in his previous bets; it will always be as if once they cash out, the rest of the game will play, and they will lose the rest of the potential amount, which they will lose all while trying to get all at the same time. I know there is no guaranteed way, but there are some greedy decisions some gamblers make, which makes me look at them like people who don't really want to profit from their effort.

Near miss does not exist in gambling - that is the first thing that needs to get into your head.

It is either a loss or a win, there is nothing in between, because there is no compensation for being close to that actual win, while still not winning it. Hence control your emotions to accept it just like a normal loss. Do not allow your panic to start and make all the wrong game decisions.

Someone mentioned to try betting on single games and not do a parlay. Maybe you can try that out and see how it feels to you. But then again, if you do that, the potential win you could get is significantly lower compared to parlays, but the chance that you win is significantly higher.

There is no remedy for near luck in gambling because you don't control the games that you choose to play, if you have a premonition of the game that will cut your ticket you will not play it. Since you it is mainly one game that usually spoils your ticket you might consider reducing your parleys to reduce the chances of your losing everything, hopefully you won't add the one game that will deny you a win. You cannot isolate luck from winning in gambling so always use amount that you can afford to loose and hope that your win will happen, if you don't win just try again another time surely a win will happen sometime.

I don't think that, there is actually any remedy for anyone having near success syndrome when it comes to gambling this is usually the case when ever you are gambling this is not only restricted to you only but is a common thing that is associated with every gambler what makes you to win in gambling is your ability not to give up but continuously gambling even though you are losing.



I know that, this my view may not sound good to you as you made mention of not wanting to get addicted in gambling. The guarantee of a single bet game is bigger than a parley bet game. The difference with a single bet game and a parley bet is the amount you bet. You can use $10 to bet on parley (if the total odds are 3 or 4 odds) then you win $30 to $40. But in a single bet you need a higher stake to win a suitable amount of money, for someone who's greedy, they will not be satisfied when they use $10 go win $11 on a single game.

If he want to bet on a single game he need to stake a huge amount of money, unless the odd of the single game is more than 1 odd before the initial winning can be multiple by two.

I have been wondering if i am the only one going through same other are others here who have same challenge, and are there possible actions to take in other to not allow this occur too frequently and before you think i am an addict, i don't gamble all the times, neither do i gamble randomly, i have budget and i stick to it and i also make sue not to be always at the casino, and also make sure to put in other measures not to allow myself gamble loosely, so it is just an experience i am sharing as a normal gambler.

I don't think you are the only one that experiences this near success syndrome, this is a general problem for all or most gamblers. There is always that one or two game that messes things up. Most times I separate my game in betting, like dividing it into 2 part or even Three so that if one cut the rest 2 ticket will not cut, but I still I lose. It is impossible to tell what strategy to excape near success syndrome in Gambling. Just keep on trying till luck comes on your side someday.

I don't see refusal to cash out as greed, the gambler is simply taking a risk. We are quick to criticise those who lose games because they decided not to cashout. But we also celebrate those who later won big because they decided to take a risk and refused to cashout. I wouldn't blame anyone who decided not to cashout until he complained about his losses. One of my gambler friends' slogans is the higher the risk the bigger the win.

Anyway, I am not a high risk takers that is why I take every advantage to cash out. It is better to recover my initial bet than to lose all.

I know the feeling of always missing out on two to three games  but if this is the case you can leverage probability to your advantage.. if day your betslip has 9 games, you can make 6 slips; 1 slip with 9games, the other with 4&5 games, then 3 with 3games each this way of you miss it by 1 then you have a chance of guaranteeing catch some winners whenever this near win happens but of course when you lose you lose big and when you win you win big (win-win situation).

Since this year, i have lost games by a single cut, so i will make picks and combine several game and at the end of the day, i loose the game by a single game not going as expected, so more like i have had cut 1 all through this year. i am yet to win a single game and not because all my predictions are wrong but because i most often have a single game that ends up messing up the rest of the other games. This i have experienced in both casino games and sports games.

I think it's just a coincidence. Not many days have passed in 2026, and since you say you don't play very often, your playing distance is still relatively small. The only best solution I think of when you're having almost win is to go for a break that's if you didn't find it funny, but if you're okey with it I would say that you should keep trying. If you are sure that only one game is always the problem I would say why not do a double entry, what I mean is that you could separate all of them to come out two so that one of the games that usually cause the losing all the time will be on one side while the second one will not have any game that would stop the wining. Like I asked if you are sure because there are probability that more than one game might still failed even if you separate them as I said but your certain of one game problem is why I'm using this format. I have had this experience but not all the games I have gambled this year because some are three games problem.

I think it has gotten to that extend because the losing streak is much for him and instead of such thing to repeat itself next time it will better to have some break and wait for sometime before coming back to gamble because most times taking a break helps us in making a good prediction since luck has been far from him. Obviously he might likely see some changes if he apply self control and stop for this losing streak because I think that would only prevent it from getting addicted to gambling.

Gambling is a game of randomness, if you’re lucky you’re lucky and if you’re not, you’re not, I really don’t see any point seeking for ways to enhance your luck because I don’t think it’s possible. In gambling, there are always two sides or outcomes, it’s either you win or you lose, when you lose, it’s not the end, neither does it mean you’ll need to chase wins or luck because it doesn’t always end well. When you experience near luck/success syndrome, I don’t think there’s anything to do to remedy it. Just go about your normal gambling and if you eventually win, good for you.
