According to daily news, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has called for president Bola Ahmed Tinubu's impeachment accusing him of illegally deducting #100 billion naira monthly from the federation account. El-Rufai stated on Arise television that these unauthorized deductions, totaling #1.5 trillion naira over 15 months are unconstitutional and therefore warrant impeachment proceedings. Honestly, this kind of news is very disheartening, where is this huge amount of money going to and what could be the his reason for deducting such amount of money from the federation's account without the approval of the federal house of assembly.

I suggest, proper investigation should be carried out by the federal house of assembly to make sure such amount of money will not go out of the federation's account without proper record and reasons.

Despite I don't like the governor on how he behaves towards this president and my reasons for that is because he was not included in this government that is why he started to criticize them. Even though you don't like someone if he did something good you have to give him that credit, I'm happy that he mentioned this but the problem is that people that will handle this issue are also feeding from this money so what can we do? Our senators and house of assembly members will not react to this report and with the level we are now in Nigeria, I don't think there will be any move of impeachment, don't Nasir El-Rufai see how organization's, individuals, and groups are endorsing him for the next term. If this accusations is true,  the money is definitely going into his pocket to enrich himself, but I will not conclude since this has to been proven with evidence, although I will not be surprised if this is true, because looting of public funds has always been a thing for the politicians. It is also an impeachable charge if uts true, but we all know how Nigeria works, so even the house of assembly will be a part of the corruption,  so know they will not be able to impeach him. It just so bad the kind of country we live, that the politicians will do whatever they want and they will get a way with it. It's just a pity, but it should still be investigated, even if I know that nothing will be done at the end of the investigation.

Aside what you said, Tinubu is an African politician that understands African pattern of politics, we don't expect him to be impeached by his house boys who are part of his kitchen cabinet, I might be too harsh on our lower and upper chamber members but the truth has to be told, the majority of the senate, house of Reps members are Tinubu boys, they have no option than to keep dancing to his tune, I don't want to even go into that tax shit, they speaker of house of Reps and the most unserious and worst senate president that we have ever had in the history of Nigeria keep sidelining anyone that wants to say anything about the tax shit, let me go back on track, there's no impeachment coming from anywhere, Nigeria is doomed thats all I have to say.

Exactly the point, the president has actually shown that he can do whatever he likes and just like you have stated it is obvious the house of reps is under his pocket. The senate is also no go area, they are  all there for there own selfish interest.
The issue of tax law Been forged was an impeachable offence but who dares to make the move . The system is too corrupt and the president will do whatever he wants, even if vote buying didn't work they used inec to rig the election.

What is your take on this?

When was the last time you heard that a president was lawfully impeached in Nigeria or another country across Africa?. I'm not talking about coup attempt now, I mean lawfully impeached because of corruption related matters. This current era of governance in this country is strictly operating on different objectives to fulfill one goal, which is to milk out the entire nation at all cost without leaving anything behind. The new tax law is certainly their next game to milk, but this time around, directly from the people. Tinubu is not different from a tyrant,he is tyrant who has held Nigeria hostage. Tinubu doesn't follow the constitution,he acts as if he owns the country. The only body with the power to impeached the president is the National assembly. El-Rufai is just blabbing, who is he to call on the impeachment of the president, El-Rufai is just aggrieved because he wasn’t included in the Tinubu government, is it now today his eyes is now clear and he want to stand on the truth and fairness, he is just funny, El-Rufai is part of those that destroyed this country, even the whole insecurity challenges he has a hand in it, Nigerians should not listen to him, he should first clean the speck in his eyes before trying to remove the log from others eyes.

Is it now we want to talk about impeaching Tinubu, what didn't happen earlier before he comfortably began to change those in positions and appoint whom he wants, nobody dares stand up against Tinubu, he already established himself for next election, the court, majority of each state governor are under his accord, the level of manipulation in the next election will be something we haven't witnessed before, Nigerians are already prepared for the 8 years of tenure under Tinubu.

Who do we have to contest against Tinubu? Tinubu is the current god of politics we have now, Atiku and Obi, will wait another tenure for opportunity to be lucky. If any of them wants to win it, they should learn to play dirty too.

As much as there is a need to be accountable regarding how one manages the publics resource, i think most of our politicians do not have the right to make such demand because they are nothing different from the people they are demanding accountability from. same EL-RUfai if given an appointment by tinibu will keep quiet throughout Tinibu's administration. lamenting just because a policy doe not favor you and not because you are actually looking for the good of the people is the highest hypocrisy of the biggest order that our politician are good at displaying.

when was the last time we saw an independent assembly that is able to question or speak against the things that a president is doing? what is even the difference between the assembly and the presidency to start with? fact still remains that the president is bent on completing his tenure wether the average citizen like it or not we are not a people that are ready for change.

If Nigeria where to be a country where justice, accountability, credibility or even transparency plays its role accordingly, president Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserves to be impeached and convicted for stealing and embezzlement of public funds meant for other important purposes, but here we are where corruption is celebrated and worshiped while uprightness is now an offence and has a long lasting punishment. How can a president alone accessed the governments fund just for his selfishness and self wealth thinking and still go scout free while the Righteous once are imprisoned just for saying the truth.
