What happened:: This new member, who created his account yesterday, created a thread in the Scam Accusations section as if he was warning people about fund recovery. However, he is undirectly promoting the company RexfordCryptoRetrievals, which I believe is a clear scam, and I warn everyone against using it.

The platform is only 3 months old and it is a new domain, which contradicts the dates of the published articles and other information.

The team they posted on their website is fake.

The “Customers Feedback” reviews are fake.

Their Trustpilot rating is 3.5, not 4.3 as shown on their site, and it only has 8 reviews, one of which is a 1-star review, and some reviews indicate it is a scam.

Their certificates are completely fake and forged.

First: the gov.uk certificate they posted with the number 9466804. when verified, we find no search results related to this company. This suggests it may not even exist. Even if they did obtain this certificate, it still does not prove their legitimacy.

Second, the ISO 50001:2018 certificate is for energy management and is obtained by factories for their electricity consumption. It has nothing to do with an asset recovery company.

Third: The Google Digital Garage certification is a "Digital Marketing Fundamentals" certification and is awarded to individuals, not companies.

Fourth: The Funding Pips certification is awarded to traders who pass Prop Firms trading evaluations, and it's illogical for an asset recovery company to display it.

Great catch... I'd also like to point out that one of their claims about having a 90% success rate [screenshot] is clearly a lie as well [even the legit ones that work with government agencies never post such claims]!
- Thank you for everything (will tag their account as well).

Thank you for your input, and I completely agree with you.. These false claims are simply a way to deceive victims and push them into paying upfront fees or similar charges.

All the fraudulent asset recovery companies I've seen are unlicensed and have no connection with government agencies. Some of them even place the logos of these agencies on their official websites to increase the trust of potential clients.

Therefore, no one should believe what they read on their websites without verification. People should do their own research, as scammers are very active and often hide behind such services and companies.

What do you think? What warning signs should people be aware of when dealing with asset recovery companies, and should they avoid them entirely?
---------
I will now submit a report to the domain registrar NameSilo regarding this fraudulent company, and I will keep you updated with any new developments.

I would definitely lean towards avoiding them completely. I believe every crypto recovery service is a scam, if you were scammed and lost your coins, in order to avoid getting scammed twice or more times, it is better to take your loss as a lesson and move on.

It is only possible to recover your funds with the help of the authorities and we all know how difficult that is to achieve. First, it has to be a substantial amount of money for the authorities to get involved and then the scammer has to be dumb enough to use a custodial service to move or store stolen funds. Because that's the only way the funds can be seized and returned to the victim.

Good catch, OP!  Grin
To hell with scammers!

Even though the most scam activities have simmered down since the old days of the ICO hype in 2017 to 2019, it is great to see these thieving degenerates get exposed again and again by the good people of this forum.

Good job to OP and everyone who helps fight scams.

What warning signs should people be aware of when dealing with asset recovery companies,
I think the things you've mentioned in this thread already cover the most part, but off the top of my head, I can point to those scammers who ask for the victim's seed phrases to look for other addresses that might have something in them.
