Inflation is a phenom that economies of the world can't fully eliminate, it just has to be managed. So it's always an issue that governments of the world dread.
On the flip side, something that's more dreaded by governments is transparency of economic operations.
Inflation can be traced to factors like; war, global stocks, pandemics, and other economic factors. However, transparency can't be traced to these factors.
Once government operations like spending, borrowing become verifiable by the public, then suddenly the political cover is missing, and citizens begin to ask harder questions.
A perfect reason why states resist public ledger systems; they expose gaps of accountability that inflation would naturally hide.
One corny thing the government will always do is to blame the rate of inflation on things like war, pandemics or global markets, so it is something they put that maximum efforts and try to manage with all the textbook explanations they can caugh out of their brain. But you see that word transparency!!! It is a very uncomfortable word to them, because it exposes how money is really spent. once people can clearly see government spending and borrowing, they start asking the hard and necessary questions. I think that’s why many governments fear transparency more than inflation, because with all sense it removes excuses and exposes them to accountability.

There are countless people in this world that finds loopshole so that they can skip the system to make themselves tax-free from the system. And this is the big thing that each country's government wants to regulate more strongly, so that no one will be able to skip this system, and everyone has to pay taxes. This is why governments want transparency in every traditional system. And if we talk about the crypto space, then in this space, you will find a lot of things that will help you to skip that system and keep you anonymous from the tracking system. DYOR! Haha, I am not suggesting here to skip that because paying tax is a good thing because countries run on taxes, and also used by government leader to make their own banks full, haha. They use their ways to rob tax money, and people use their ways to skip the traditional system, and in this way, the whole system is disturbed.

Well governments are not just afraid of hiding power, they are afraid of losing control. If there is a totally transparent ledger, the reaction of the market, investors and the general public will be all in unison and in real time. In this even small decisions can bring major instability, I think that a lot of states believe that if they know all the truth at once, people will panic, the economic atmosphere will become more unstable, So they believe it is safer to give out information slowly rather than being transparent. The question then is not, corruption vs stability but how much truth should be told to the people at one time.

Just imagine a perfect world, the government will have its crypto addresses allocated for a specific field that is known to the public and everyone can track all the incoming and outgoing transactions. And to make it even more perfect, new addresses for each office after every election so it will let know about the elected ones at the end of their term? But these are far from reality and to be honest now I am thinking this is what they are afraid more than controlling I guess but just an irony government will start using privacy tools like mixers just to hide their trail.

This is typical of a corrupt government. Governments whether corrupt or not don't really hate transparency, they only hate it when the citizens want to know too much what they, the governments are up to. These same governments who would do anything not to disclose too much to the public they represent, will try as much as possible to punish any citizen, organisation or entity who tries not to be transparent. All citizens must be transparent in their dealings, but corrupt government officials are protected. We have seen how the government has fought Bitcoin to this very day that they seem too weak to fight. The reason is that they can't control it and can't effectively trace data to any individual with ease like they would with fiat. For this reason, they framed it a tool used by criminals. We operate in a world of double standards.

Inflation is the least of the government problem and all they are concerned is there person interest and I don't think the government officials can can be transparent and even the agencies that are suppose to monitor the system are now corrupt and they have over looked all they have been doing and it was not like this now everything have gotten worst the government have lost there purpose and that is why all this this are happening, we all know its a matter of time before people will start requesting for accountability.
We all saw what happened at Nepal were the citizens were angry about how they have been cheated by the government and they had to react and that is exactly the same faith that will meet the politician very soon since they can no longer keep to order because of there greed.

Governments don't like it when their supremacy is questioned. The corrupt government that won't make all they do public, are definitley hiding a lot of misconduct and mismanagement, most times the budget, which they request huge sum of money for, looking at the cost and quality of what they did over how much was allocated for that particular budget is enough reflection of a bad government.

In a country where corruption is not seen as corruption and corrupt politicians are allowed to walk freely you don't expect them to make their financial dealings public because they will be so ashamed to defend themselves on the things they claim they spent money on but in a working country where the citizens hold their leaders accountable for all they do you don't see politicians padding budgets so they can steal money. Budget is not supposed to be made hidden it's the total amount that will be used for the year the citizens should always try to protest when the politicians hide it but fear won't let them.

Good governance should be transparent at all times. There's no reason to be scared about it, except if there are hidden agendas going on inside the government.
And while it could be a challenge for the government leaders, but let's not forget that the real government is the people, and these leaders are chosen and getting paid by the people so there's no reason that they will continue to deprive transparency to the people, otherwise it would only make the people think that these leaders are not performing well on their respective jobs because they are afraid to be judged.

There's lack of transparency for most governments that have a hidden agenda. Our government keeps on borrowing money and the revenue that they've made from all of the infrastructures that they have isn't enough to sustain an entire year of budgeting. Instead of decreasing the budget and cutting off their expenses, the solution that they have come up is to borrow more so that they'll still get more funds. But that's where the corruption continues and they don't really do it for the public to have a better life but only for their personal lives to be uplifted. This is why our country is at corruption at its finest and what people can only do is to be a wiser voter next election in 2028.

Simply put, they don't want to lose full control of the government. They are already seated in their dream positions, and can make invalid things turn into valid, without giving chances for the people to question them. So they will not allow transparency rules, that's a big threat to their bad governance. No government would create chances for transparency, because it would definitely end their power as government officials, and they don't want to be monitored in all their plans and actions, because theirs are opposite to what we think are right for our eyes.

Please note that the desire for confidentiality (concealment of information), the desire to conceal beneficiaries (the desire for anonymity), began to dominate society in the era of the development and establishment of capitalism, right up to the present. For example, hedge funds with secret beneficiaries, entire systems of property ownership through trust funds, where it is simply impossible to determine the final beneficiary - all these are links in the same chain.
Whereas feudalism and traditional societies in general are characterized by the publicity of power, the publicity of wealth. Publicity is evidence of the ruler's power. The government's desire for concealment is a sign of weak government. The publicity of wealth is the impeccable origin of property, which has the power to protect itself. The anonymity of wealth is the illegitimate origin of property, doubts about the possibility of protecting property rights.
Moreover, the desire for anonymity and confidentiality is quite natural for an ordinary person who is powerless before the power of the state or organized crime. But this is unnatural for a government or a superrich family. And in this case, it only irrefutably testifies against them. By the way, an analogy with Epstein's files is quite appropriate here, in an effort to avoid publicity, to declare this information fiction or slander.
