I have got to know that some people use Iancoleman website with their internet connected. That's a Red Flag

Many people must have exposed their recovery seeds using that website and later put the blame on the website, the platform can but shouldn't be used online, you are to disconnect your internet before inserting your recovery seed and do your thing.

I know someone who lost $30 USDT after they have used Iancoleman to look for multi wallet private key, all I can understand is the he did it while is pc was connected to the internet.

I do wish that the platform have a say that goes like this

Disconnect from the internet before Use.

and at the same time I don't blame the creator, users should know better or simply ask around before inserting their recovery seed.

Don't play around with your main recovery seed on Iancoleman, if you are trying to learn something make sure you use crypto wallets that holds no funds or very less amount for your experiment, the type that you use for Airdrops and claiming freebies online.

Anyone willing to use such a tool should already have some knowledge of what it is about and how to use it without taking unnecessary risks.. Offline usage is optional and depends on the specific use case.

To use it offline, download it, verify it, and run it on an offline device. Everything you need for downloading and verification is here:

If you are using the same device for the download, you still cannot fully trust it not to log information offline and send it out once you reconnect to the internet.. Because of that, move the funds through other means to a secure place before connecting the device back online.

I'd better not use something I barly understand and stick with the usual method. I know very well that it's good sometimes to acquire knowledge of some technical aspects of bitcoin, but the Iancoleman is way more an advanced process for someone with just basic knowledge.. even if you wish to generate your seed on your own using such tools, just make sure you have tested it several times to be sure you are doing it right. Don't hurriedly deposit on a generated key which you aren't sure about, to avoid losing funds. Along side the knowledge would be your experience with security, that's where you would be smart enough to know that the keys should be generated offline..
