Sometimes we can miss vital information because we are considering the past of an individual. People might think that because CZ is an ex-convict and has promoted some shitcoins, he shouldn't be taken seriously. Trading is complex and requires some technical knowledge. Not everyone can be successful in Bitcoin trading. But with little knowledge, anyone can be a Bitcoin holder and make a profit if they keep it for a long time.

Between trading and nvesting, trading is far more complex. Knowledge and experience can only increase your chances of winning, they do not guarantee anything. Thats why not only newbies but also many experienced trader experience losses

Long term investing might seem simpler, but I think that just a little knowledge will not help us make a profit. There is a huge gap between owning bitcoin and holding until it yield a profit. That is why many people invest in bitcoin, but not everyone makes a profit. To hold bitcoin in the long term, having sufficient knowledge is essential.

You will feel sorry for people if they show you how much they lose through Bitcoin on a regular basis. This is often attributed to trading Bitcoin or the impatient behaviour of some investors when they liquidated their Bitcoin too early in losses.

Aside from these two, Bitcoin is a lovely asset to invest in, and as CZ said, the best approach to this is a long-term investment goal, which can be adequately achieved through HODLing.

I don't believe a word CZ says and I don't think he's innocent. He is entirely to blame for the crypto sector becoming so corrupt and manipulative. When he tweets, they directly mint a word or an object as a coin, causing people to either make or lose money. If he had just HODL'd, he would have avoided such manipulative actions. Alright, you can be an investor, but suddenly becoming so wealthy doesn't show us what's going on behind the scenes.

Well, it's really difficult to do trading, and it's a lot of effort and sleepless nights before you learn the system. It's a very risky industry, and I have given up on it because it's only for those who can really put their time and effort into being successful.

How can you learn the system? It's not a skill like plumbing, construction and so on. You can't predict the market or set the price unless you are a whale and have connections. I can't imagine someone without millions of dollars and connections making money from trading.

I'd rather do what he does. Invest in buying Bitcoin and some coins that have a legitimate product, which will gain value in the future. I have done that and was successful, and was lucky to sell it at the right time during the ICO days. I made some good money, bought a house, and now I am trying to accumulate more again.

We don't need to force trading if it's not for us. Maybe we are just good at holding coins.

I want to add one thing. We can be CZ but we shouldn't be CZ. As said above by multiple users, CZ is a scammer, criminal and a person who would sell his soul for the money. None of us should try to become like CZ.

Haha Zhao helped criminals launder money, using crypto and banks. He trained customer support to specifically onboard people who were unbankable (because of law, not birthright), taught them how to use fake passports etc. Then he went to rich people jail, paid some fines, and got about his business. He didn't hold. He encouraged people to sell their BTC to buy shitcoins and accepted hundreds of millions to list shitcoins. Then stashed it all away into bitcoin.

Is he a good person? Absolutely not, he is a horrible person who is a criminal, and I agree with you on all of those. But could we hold just like him? We absolutely can and do not have to sell unless we have to. And that is what the topic is about, holding. Sure if you are in urgent need then you sell, but not selling for price reasons, if you can hold and capable of it then you should hold and never sell just because you want to, holding will make sure that you make the most money you can.

For emphasizing the importance of holding, we have lots of example and this does not need to be based on notorious person in my view. Winklevoss brothers are striking in my mind when I think about similar personality who are known for hodling. I guess that someone will start a new topic on them soon.

Lol are you really going to believe the words that comes out of the mouth of a fraudster. He has no reason to do any of this just rugpull and he makes his money. I highly doubt that he has huge amount of Bitcoin as investment but more like he has them for trading. Once they have made it they can say anything as their strategy to make them stand in the light.

If you remove CZ being the man that said those words and isolate him from it and focus on what he said you will agree that his words makes sense. CZ might have his shortcomings as a human being but if his word makes sense I think we should just take his words and isolate him as an individual from it. Holding a trusted cryptocurrency like Bitcoin is so much better than trading because you believe that on the long run Bitcoin will give you profit which carries far less risks than trading cryptocurrency. Trading is high risk because cryptocurrency are volatile, it is easy to lose your money in the process of chasing short term profits. Trading is for high risks takers while investment on "trusted" cryptocurrency like Bitcoin is for everybody, just buy and hold and patiently wait for it to continue to reach ATH.

Hold is a plan that is long-term and patient, there are many who cannot hold, it is very difficult for them to do it. Holding is very difficult because people expect quick profits, due to which they do not want to focus on investing for a long time by trading. However, those who focus on investing for a long time and have a holding plan and hold patiently are definitely successful. However, I always prefer holding, trading will not be good at all because it is always risky, in that case holding is the best plan.
