Bitcoin Core Visual Changes

Upgraded to Bitcoin Core 30+ the other day. Did anyone else notice the white background behind the overview screen? Also, the blue line through the bottom where it tells how many hours behind the network is while it's updating is new. The buttons for overview, send, receive and transaction history are greyed out until you hover over them. Is this normal?

I don't pay attention to visual change. But there are some non-minor GUI change in Bitcoin Core 30.0.

GUI changes

    The GUI has been migrated from Qt 5 to Qt 6. On Windows, dark mode is now supported. On macOS, the Metal backend is now used. (#30997)
    A transaction’s fee bump is allowed under fullrbf and no longer requires BIP-125 signalling. (#31953)
    Custom column widths in the Transactions tab are reset as a side-effect of legacy wallet removal. (#32459)

Changing Qt major version rarely happen, since i recall it last happened many years ago.

v30.2's GUI is fine on Linux, here's a recent screenshot for reference (tested with empty datadir):


But I've tested this on another machine (Windows) and I got similar (not exact) result as yours:

Notably, the strikethrough across the estimated sync time and the new white separate rectangular backgrounds below the texts.

That’s normal, nothing unusual there. They made a few UI changes, mostly due to Qt updates, but functionality-wise it’s basically the same — mostly just visual tweaks. If it really annoys you, you can use custom themes or just stick to RPC like before.

You mean the grayed-out tab names?
I can only reproduce that if I set my system to dark mode, Bitcoin Core follows the theme but it makes those letters look unclickable.
If it's in normal mode, the texts look normal as seen in my screenshot. (the reason why I only said "similar")

And yeah, as suggested by others, check your Bitcoin Core's hash and verify the file containing the hashes.
