I have experienced it several times until I realized that the gambling sites are setting the odds the way they want in a way that they only want to make money from their customers.

I have never placed  a running game before the season started. These football matches are unpredictable. I prefer to place bets based on the current performance of clubs. Gambling can be so funny. Analysis and luck work together in gambling. You did a good pick but just that you weren't lucky to win. Moreover, at the beginning of the season you may not really know the best team. Although some team may be good in the last season and might has bought alot of players, but may fail in their first few matches as they might not have used to each other on field.
