That's for sure, when we have many connections, it can open up better opportunities for someone. An example that often occurs in my environment is that many people lose out in the competition for jobs, and sometimes this happens because there are people who have connections with the bosses of a company, so it is easier for them to join a company that is looking for workers. In addition, by having many connections, we can gain new knowledge or skills, and that can be a good model for us in the future. Perhaps it is like the saying, a thousand friends are too few, but one enemy is too many.
We know well that the world operates on a man know man basis, if you are widely connected, then you have solved most of your problems because you always have the right person to refer to when faced with one. and you also have the leverage of accessing information regarding beautiful opportunities as an insider before it goes public.
When you have a broad network, you would have access to upgraded information faster, even the one that has to do with your field because vital information would always reach you timely and you would be positioned better to consume opportunities. With a wider network, you would mostly function efficiently as an insider and not with the crowd.
