I know there is a lot of interest in this from Western powers (USA), but I believe nothing much is going to happen afterwards. Perhaps for Xi, it's a crisis averted or well managed. These things happen most of the time in different nations, and sometimes the news does not leak out just as much as this. Dictators can purge before a major military operation, getting rid of all domestic/military support those generals have accumulated.   Civil wars form that way.

With the US occupied in Latin America and the middle east (x2), China may invade this year instead of next.  I don't even think they want to take over TSMC anymore, since they've built AI on a different technology then nVidia.   I think they'll invade for official cultural reasons, but also to put the final nail in the US coffin by destroying the only facility of it's kind.

Guess what, everyone is in support of it because it is not President Donald Trump. If the President of the United States of America, President Donald Trump has been the one to do this, so many people would have come out to drag his name calling him a man concerned with wrong things when he is only concerned about making the USA great and feared.

I guess its more related to the corruption investigation they were doing in PLA. They might have underestimated the extent of corruption and it was being carried from the top level. Xi has eliminated many party leaders accusing them of corruption including his own faction and he's now doing the same in PLA.
Xi losing his power might not be the case as Politburo Standing Committee holds the ultimate power in China and if they were not in line with Xi's idea, they would have already removed him.

Allegedly sharing nuclear secrets with US is all I have read but we do not know for sure what the true truth might be. One of these generals purged has been said to be his family and friend from childhood.
A couple should be carefully planned and if it is not successfully done, everyone involved and families should be ready for repercussions and consequences.
