Sports betting or slot games?

Which one is better is subjective because every single gambler have their own preference/favorite to play, we cant have general answer although many people will say that sports betting is better due to the fact that sports betting requires skills.
Although sports can be analyzed, can be learned in order to have better winning chance but those who are not interested with it will not be tempted to learn about it.
For me slot is better since I like to play it more than sports betting, slot gives me more fun as I can enjoy it than sports betting and I do not need to think too much to play it as simple as clicking the spin button.

This kind of topic has been discussed for years here.  Debating which better between sport betting vs slot will never come to the end. There will never be a conclusion since any gamblers have different objective to be reached. So both are good at their own ways.
Your story is best example of it. I believe you and your friend have different focus here. You focus on sustainability. Meanwhile. Your friend was focusing on how fast and big profit should be generated. So sports betting should be best for you. At the same time, slot is best for your friend.

I personally find sports betting to be more interesting and engaging than other forms of gambling. Unlike other forms of gambling, where you place blind bets,  sports betting allows you to calculate risks using real life data involving how the players and teams are doing, the types of injuries they have, and their motivation, you get to watch how the game play out and You have the ability to change your bet while the game is unfolding in front of you.  That control is very valuable.

Yes it's possible that slots might offer massive win but the ability to win big in Slots is almost nonexistant.  Betting in Slots is based on a 100% chance involving a system you have no way of verifying and once you hit the spin button, you have no control over where the bet lands. While in sports betting,  we know that nothing is guaranteed,  but at least your decisions are informed. The choices of the players as well as the system are out of your control, but in gambling,  winning feels so much better than losing.  This is why sports betting is my favorite option as it is a lot more satisfying than anything else.

Simple, he is not much of a sports lover. A true sports lover would not call predicting games a waste of time. Anyways it all boils down to preference

This is not sustainable, he might as well loose his ass out while spinning the slots, the thing is that we patronize games that appeals the more to us. I could still say I prefer sports betting because my capital is always wiped out easily while plying slots or crash games.

I do both and I don't find it necessary to do any sort of comparison, it's not worth the time, firstly many people are into sports because they are big fans, placing bets is just extra for them.

Problems occurs once they have a dream of making big money from bets, either it's slots or sports bet it matters not, are you a responsible gambler? This is the most important question left for gamblers to figure out.

After all gambling is all about games of luck, analysis or no analysis the luck needs to work out in your favour or you lose money, the bigger you want to lose is all in your court, your own choice to make.

I would've loved to lay more emphasis on this but I'll leave it up to concluding that none is better than the other in a circle where this two belong the choices of choosing one over the other is always slim because you're throwing money at both of them whilst you get results or not. So better still no comparison should be made in this regard cause they mostly fall under same category but the fact that we're all comfortable with either of them makes it totally different.

To me, I think choosing between slot game and sports betting depends on the individual, like your friend said, he is more comfortable with sloth game than sports betting. As for me , I prefer sports betting to slot games, the reason being that, I play football though not professional football, and I equally like to watch sports games, especially football. So I find it more comfortable to play sports betting as it is based on real life event, it is easier to make your predictions based on team's present and past performance. In sports betting, bettors mostly rely on the team's record to predict their bet, but slot games lack this features making it so difficult to predict.

Yes, that's true, but some people also play slots regularly, including me, because slot games don’t require discussing with anyone, we just need to enjoy each spin, and it has its own sensation and appeal. There's no such thing about being better. Why? they are both different things even though it is gambling but the way on how these things being done and the factors which you do need for you to win then it would be that somewhat different. Everything would matter on someones preference because we do know that there are those gamblers who are that a sport enthusiast on which even if they do play slots on which we know that not all would really be that sustaining on playing slot games for long time on which this turned out to be a boring game after a few rolls. Some do really likes on playing slots. To be honest I don't have very good sports predictions, so I don't make sport bets often, but also I'm not huge fan of the slots either. When visiting online casinos I play mostly dice and plinko. If I'd have to choose between sport  betting and slots I think it would be tie result between them.

Different gamblers have made so many comparison about this subject, some said losses in slot games is much compare to sport betting and some people also said that slot game is more addictive.

I prefer sports games because that's where I started my gambling journey from but i have also got to like other slot games.

For me the choice was made a long time ago, and I chose betting for myself. Since all gambling is just entertainment for me, I set aside a small amount of money and play occasionally. If you compare slots with betting, my deposit lasts much longer in betting than in slots. Betting is also more interesting for me because I like watching matches and often place a bet on some match I’m watching. So I simply combine watching matches with entertainment.

Lol, that manipulation thingy is more about casino and says nothing about game itself. If it's legit casino, you can bet on either without worrying about manipulation.

What the factor you are considering on asking which is which?

Slot and sports betting has their own pros and cons which people might have different preferences based on their own gambling style.

I preferred live games in my case since I’m not good on sports betting while I have terrible luck on slot games. We will have different opinion here which this thread will just doesn’t have any resolution.

“Provable” isn’t just some random word they throw in there, when they say provably fair they usually explain it as something that can be verified, which is basically the same idea anyway, just different wording. I’m just sharing how I usually see it explained. Provable fairness is one thing, but the house edge is still there, and even if the game is legit and verifiable, it doesn’t mean we’re suddenly going to beat the system in the long run.

Both are enjoyable for me. I don't even ignore sports betting when I win at slot games. You just need to manage your time. For example, placing bets toward the weekend when many major leagues are playing. Outside of those times, we can access fun slot games for a short period. Or you can play slots in between waiting for the results of sports bets.
