He created that thread on 6th of January. See the domain of the possible scam gambling site that he is voting for possibly with his own alts or coordinated:

That definitely means that he edited the poll and using his alts to vote for the scam site that he slotted in so that the scam site can be on the top and deceive newbies and maybe some other people to think that the site is legit because they will think legit people voted for it but which is wrong.

This 24 days old poll shows a 4 days old website as favorite. So the poll is abused to promote a scam. Do Mods have access to delete polls? Or at least lock the topic?

Nice find. Besides what you pointed out, i also notice some option have clickable link while other option only have plain text. It's common tactic to perform SEO spam, while making the spam content appear more legit.

bots1 created the topic with the same writing style as guffie's topic. bots1 also did the same thing as guffie. He created a poll including ChaserFi(dot)com, a website that has been created only 4 days ago.
Shendy who received 4 merit from guffie posted the first reply in bots1's topic. According to bitlist.co, Shendy first shared a link to chaser(dot)finance and after the website was taken down, he changed the link to chaserfinance(dot)com. That new website was taken down too and then Shendy changed the link to chaserfi(dot)com.

Good expose I was questioning casinos that should not be on that poll. This revealed a scam poll manipulation that many of us are not aware of. You really dig deep, brother, exposing this scheme.

I've supported the flag added by LoyceV, the user destroyed his/her account by doing something that gave him/her just negative tags and a flag. I believe we can learn something from this and there should be a rule that newbies might not be allowed to participate in polls as those who've account farms can easily manipulate the polls to help promote scam and shady services or sites.

I think he has many full member accounts. He may possibly have more other higher rank accounts. The account he used to create the topic is a full member account. The accounts that hosemary posted that belongs to the scammer are above member rank.

It is worth knowing that newbies can not participate in a poll. I am not sure of junior members but members and higher rank can vote. Junior members should be able to vote.

OP, this is a good observation and a good catch. Thanks for digging deep. The poll is questionable; it did not include casinos such as Betfury, 1Win, or Crypto.games, and there are many Stake signature participants. It only got 4 votes, and many aren't aware of this Cryptoroyal; it doesn't ring a bell to me.
Imagine if he gets away with this, he can continue exploiting the polls to shill scam casinos.

I didn't know that newbies can't vote in polls.
I just did search and found an old post of theymos that says junior members are able to vote in polls.

Previously, anyone could vote in polls. Now you must be at least a Jr. Member. This should make vote manipulation more difficult, though you should still not rely on forum polls for real accuracy.

This post has been made in 2014, but I think it should still be valid.

I think typo mistakes. Actually scams aren't moderated on the forum due to prevent moderation abuse. However, I reported the thread, not sure if moderators think to handle it. But at least we can try by reporting them, doesn't necessary all the report need to be 100% handled or delete. So I support the flag from my end.

It's pretty clear users have been manipulating the poll with a shit gambling platform. Either he have multiple accounts or he purchases from off-forum. Because even in some marketplaces you can buy services for the forum. What I realized the main goal of the poll is promoting shit.

i think what he meant is that this type of scam is moderated. if it's a phishing link, a site spreading malware, or a drainer, the mods will delete it since that's against the rules. but you are also right, scams aren't moderated, but more like the ones where a website refuses to pay you, or you pay someone for a service or something and they dip with the money meaning, or the selling 1BTC for 50% off type scams.

it's not even a shit gambling platform. the only way to log in to that site is by connecting your wallet, so i'm pretty sure that if anyone does that, they will get drained 100%.

and nothing on the "casino" works. you can't talk to support, you can't skip connecting your wallet, it's all fake. the only thing you can do is connect a wallet.

This is actually a phishing website. I visited the website, and a sign-up pop-up appeared. Every time I try to close the window, it just pops up again. If you do not have any option to explore the website before you sign up, and the signup page cannot be closed, you should know that this is a phishing website. The user should be banned for spreading phishing malware using a fake crypto casino. This is a nice find, Charles-Tim. I thought he created the poll because he wanted players to try that casino. However, this is turned too bad. It's a phishing website mate.

None of this matters if he can just change the poll. So it could very well be legit people voted for the poll before he changed the description of the "top" casino.

i don't think so. i checked the list from that post and all those casinos are real, and OP seems to only want to get some affiliate signups unlike the one shared here, where the OP is just adding other casinos names to make the scam fake casino look more credible.

I observed the history of the account, he may not be rightful owner of that account, even though is the rightful owner, he has the intentions of manipulation and scam..

We all know the gravity of any gambling website in the forum...if vote should be conducted accurately according his polls, it's understanding that the casino website he kept first might not be the last based on geniune voting..

But he can up with manipulations, i have access the polls, theirs no certainty or a genuine voting strategies on that polls...I think Charles-Tim is right from his observations...

The user just invited his alts to vote for a particular website that might be recorded as the last if their's was a genuine voting system...I think the user deserves more than the tags he has gotten by editing his thread polls.

First of its kind I have seen in the forum and outside the forum,it's really good to pay attention to the little things and details of a thread .Nice job mate and however I feel like this is one of many that maybe have succeeded in the forum without the knowledge of the people,having the domain registered two days earlier means the user had more intentions to scam, jack or even begin to track users who will click on the link because this is crypto forum, who ever clicks on it definitely will have some crypto related stuff lingering around and such tracking them good given edge to hacking crypto wallets or address poisoning or possibly clipboard virus etc. Flag is much supported .
