Experience they say is the greatest teacher in life, when something happened to you for the first time automatically you have become more used and cautious about it for it not to repeat itself and when sharing same experience to other people's you have also automatically created an awareness between them and for them to take note of it Incase coming accross such situation and to be able to identify a scam attempt when spotted.

It is good for one to share its story whether it was rosy or bad, rosy in the sense that you can get a scam incident where you were about to be scammed by a scammer but you were able to escape their tricks by using an experience you have gathered somewhere else to escape from the scammers tricks. There was a day when a scammer called me and asked me to share a 6 digit pin that was prompted on my WhatsApp account, If I was not experienced about incidents like that I will have fall victim of such trap especially with the way the guy approached me of a group chat we both belong, they have their ways of luring you by maximizing the very little information you have to make you believe in them.

Stories like this are very important to be told for many reasons because people learn from our own mistakes being it a good story or a bad one, there will always be something to pick from the story which will be of benefit to you.

Most of crypto related scam are hard to get your money back, except you're not scammed already, but once this has been established, just forget about it, except the scammer on his own wishes to refund back the money back to you.

Also, why you have seen many people feeling feeling reluctant of sharing their scam experience was because of shame, they are too shy of letting others know the incident of scam they passed through and the amount lost due to their own mistake made, which they could have avoided had it been they knew before hand, that is why we had better learn from someone's mistake than learning from our own self the hard way.

The truth is that theore people are willing to share their stories on how they were scammed the more equipped everyone else will become against such a format in the future, the reason why the same scamming strategy keeps working over and over is because even though alot of people have already fell victim they are still not willing to share that experience with others meaning that others still don't know about that format and can't guide against it when it happens to them but if we actually start sharing then less people will fall victim and eventually update to use scam people go finish and more innocent people won't end up falling victim again to this kind of things.

Honestly, I think sharing your experience on how you were scammed can probably be the most effective way to stop scammers.  Silence gives scammers power. When people start to  talk about their experiences with scammers, especially the scams’ tactics, can expose patterns that make it harder for scammers to scam people again, scammers don’t target a person's intelligence, they target a person's emotions.

Also, I think sharing your experience takes away some of the shame that stops many victims from speaking out, the sooner we start normalizing these conversations, the sooner people will ask questions before making mistakes.  In addition to helping communities develop safer security practices and warning systems,  sometimes the information you share about your scam can even help other people identify which wallet or method was used in your scam and avoid those same losses in the future.

Since the cryptocurrency space is relatively new to many users, I feel like using real-life examples are going to help people learn faster than reading theories.  One story has the potential to keep one person from losing money,  so there is value in sharing. The more free-flowing the knowledge is, even the painful lessons learned,  the better off everyone is.

One of the ways we can help to watch each others back is by ensuring that the things we fall into or almost fell into are not left hidden and in the process an avoidable occurrence becomes something someone else still falls into. if at anytime there is a reason to be suspicious of a scam occurrence, blow it out and never keep it to yourself. even if the scam happens outside the forum, still share it here so forum users will know and ensure they are on their guide and that way, we are certain that it is almost impossible for us to fall into the hands of scammers. a scam case exposed will save a lot of potential victim that would have failed for same if the finder of the same choses to keep quiet.

I see that thread in reference is creating awareness to newbies that the forum is also not scam free and the fact that you don't need to trust someone until you have reason to begin to trust to some limit especially trusted members. Yes if you see something then you say something although you don't need to accuse someone yet of scam until it is proven but you need to draw the line and take caution as at when you begin to notice likely scam. A drop of scam introduction can multiply to full scam just like a drop of water can turn into water body, that's idiomatic. So if you are not sure you are safe with someone's conversation with you then move out from that. Some people will PM for different project support etc, you just have to ignore if it is not what you are expecting or know about or you don't indulge at all.

Nobody will look down on you if you share your scam experience. Sharing your scam experience here is a good thing and will help and save many people from falling victim to scammers. I believe some of us here have been scammed in one way or the other online and this scammers have various tricks on how they scam people even in the cryptocurrency market. For instance, the ponzi schemes, they will tell you to invest in their website with your bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency with the purpose of getting high return, and by the time you invest your cryptocurrency, they will stop you from getting access to that very website, I have had this experience myself.

OP. I agree with you. We need to bring everyone together in our community. With the rapid development of technology, it has become very common to fall victim to technological fraud. Fraudsters are also improving their skills over time. Currently, there are many examples of technological fraud around us. Many crypto investors have lost their entire savings due to these frauds. So we should always be aware.

With the development of technology, new and different types of fraud are being tried every day. So we should share the incidents that happened to us with everyone. If we can share the incidents that happened to us here while maintaining our own safety, then maybe someone else will be able to deal with the same fraud later.
