Regrettably, politics in today's societies has moved from reformation of the citizens to their deformation as it's no more about a government of the people, by the people and for the people in deciding who gets what,, when and how as Harold Lasswell explained it. A little group of elites are now in charge of the people deciding for their daily lives through the machinery of the state, suppressing and oppressing any opposition to their rule and dictatorial leadership disguise in form of democracy.

According to Harold Laxwell politics can be defined as who get what, when and how. The main concept of politics is how to manage the nation 's wealth and resources in other to improve the life's of the people and the society. Politics should have been a blessing,  because before the invention of politics,  the rule was survival of the fittest; this simply means that I am stronger than you, I can kill you and take over your property, but the invention of politics stopped all this type of living by giving their right to the government to share the resources to the people, but the government had used the resources for themselves,  rather than for the people. The way most government handle power that is giving to them by the people has made politics looks like a cause instead of a blessing,  because the people don't even see the dividend of politics.

The survival of the fittest is still going on, but instead of the survival of the physically toughest one, it's the survival of the most manipulative ones. Physical strength was replaced by cognitive capacity.

Both models could work greatly if physical strength was used for loyal purposes, the same way if cognitive capacity was also used for noble reasons. However, in this world, everything is doomed to failure due to the perverted nature of human beings. The more humans climb up on social hierarchy, more they resign to their corrupt tendencies. As consequence, you have the highest power positions contaminated by the worst scum of individuals walking on this earth.

Actually, you don't even have to go too far. Think on minor examples, like the mayor of your city, the principal of the local university or the religious leader of the church. Politics is in every institutions, and where it reaches, a trail of rottenness is left behind.

Politics is a blessing, a marvel upon the earth that should originally uplift the living condition of the people regardless of social class, religion, race, tribe and political status. I call it a marvel because it's one of the creations of man that showcases the greatness of the human brain's capacity to change anything it desires.

I'd like to urge you to look around, put all political facts of how they operates the societies in considerations then tell me if the governments of your place deserves accolades and on your views on politics, does political affairs with their essence being encouraging to the people under leadership's? Maybe telling your location to review the good work or the authorities there'll ignite easy reviews.

As much as I've experienced, politics is a dirty shit game that involves logics and oppressions to scale through and after extorting the masses and feeds your pockets with the public funds and becomes a honorable with influential fame in the society, I'm sure you'd be marvelled if politics really mean well for the public if not a legal advent of rogues.

Politics is a game of the mind, a tactical method employed by the elected government officials to run the day to day activity in favour of its people by developing their social and economic life. Therefore, politics should reform the people. It is actually meant for them.

absolutely politics should do exactly this, but does it really? in so many countries globally there are many areas which the elected government is failing it people is so many areas such as crime, health care and many more. not to meant the cost of living for basic daily life things we all need in order to live like food and clean water. the make up policies which are meant to benefit the people not lead them in to poverty and crim.

It is 'for the people, by the people for the people' but what is the ground reality?

When does any government think about their people? They just treat them as slaves and people should accept whatever the rules the government is bringing and we have no choice other than accepting it.

Politics is a dirty game.

Our politice today is no longer a government of the people by the people and for the people rather it's now a government of the fitest for your children and for your families, because all our past and present government have failed us our leaders today is no longer by elected rather it's by selected, and no body have the gods to stand against whom they have selected.

In no distance time we are going to practice one party system in this our dear country so let all of us get ready for that..
