Gliese.io – UTXO Analysis, TX Simulation & Explorer for Bitcoin & Litecoin and More

Hello Bitcointalk community,

I’d like to introduce Gliese, a non-custodial on-chain analysis platform focused on UTXO-based blockchains, currently supporting Bitcoin (BTC) and Litecoin (LTC).

In UTXO-based systems, balances alone are misleading. Structure matters.

--------------------------------------------------

What is Gliese?

Gliese is a technical blockchain analysis platform built directly on full nodes to provide deep insight into:

• UTXO structure
• Transaction behavior
• Spendability & complexity
• On-chain feasibility before broadcasting

Gliese is not a wallet, not an exchange, and does not custody funds.

--------------------------------------------------

Core Features

• UTXO Analysis (BTC & LTC & DOGE & BCH)
- Address-level UTXO breakdown
- UTXO age, fragmentation & structure
- Technical spendability scoring

• TX Simulation
- Raw transaction decoding
- Input / output behavior analysis
- Fee, size & complexity impact
- Detect issues before broadcasting

• Explorer (UTXO-Centric)
- Address, transaction & block explorer
- UTXO-focused views (not balance-only)
- Built for analysis, not just lookup

• Full-Node Infrastructure
- Bitcoin Core & Litecoin Core
- No third-party APIs
- Deterministic on-chain data

• Documentation
https://gliese.io/docs

--------------------------------------------------

Who is Gliese for?

• Bitcoin & Litecoin power users
• Developers working with UTXO chains
• On-chain analysts & researchers
• Platforms needing deeper transaction visibility

--------------------------------------------------

Why UTXO-level analysis matters

In UTXO-based blockchains:
• A balance is only a summary
• Real behavior depends on UTXO count, age and script structure

Without UTXO awareness:
• Fee surprises
• Inefficient transactions
• Hard-to-spend outputs

Gliese focuses on clarity before action.

--------------------------------------------------

Trust & Transparency

• No wallet connection
• No private keys
• No signing or broadcasting
• Analysis-only platform

--------------------------------------------------

Links

Website: https://gliese.io
Documentation: https://gliese.io/docs

--------------------------------------------------

Roadmap (Short-term)

• Advanced UTXO consolidation planning
• Deeper TX simulation scenarios
• Additional UTXO-based chains
• Public API for developers

Feedback and technical discussion are welcome.

I tried it for a bit, but the color choice feels weird to me.
1. Poor Value Distribution have green color.
2. Good Spendability have red color.

1. For faster confirmation, what matters most is TX fee rate rather than total UTXO.
2. While i agree it's better to consolidate UTXO during low-fee period, such period is most of the time within last 1 year. https://mempool.space/graphs/mempool#1y shows most TX have fee rate between 0-3 sat/vB.

Thanks for taking the time to test and report these issues! You were right on all points.

Fixed the color logic — status indicators now correctly reflect the severity of each factor.

Also updated the documentation:

  • Corrected the "Faster Transactions" description
(confirmation speed depends on fee rate, not UTXO count)

  • Fixed the score range table and factor weights to match the actual calculation
  • Updated the real-world example with accurate vByte sizes for both SegWit and Legacy
  • Revised the consolidation advice to be more accurate

Appreciate the feedback, it makes the project better!

This appears to be a different approach to address analysis.
I'll test it, and give feedback as soon as possible.

However, I ask, how do you handle visitor privacy? Do you keep logs of searches?

Good question, and thanks for taking a look.

We don’t track users or build profiles based on visitor activity.

Searches are temporarily cached on the backend purely for performance reasons, so repeated lookups (same address / tx) can be served faster. This data is not tied to user identities, IP addresses, or any form of personal information.

We don’t share search data with third parties, and it’s not used for analytics, advertising, or behavioral tracking — it’s strictly a technical cache to reduce load and improve response times.

The platform is designed with a privacy-first mindset, similar to how most public explorers handle indexing and caching.

This appears to be a different approach to address analysis.
I'll test it, and give feedback as soon as possible.

Development Update – New Explorer Features & UTXO Widget

We’ve added several new features to the Gliese platform to improve on-chain visibility and UTXO analysis:
Considering that it is a new service, which people are not used to yet, I think it would be much better if you open most of the features for free at the beginning. Now, even for the first testing of certain tools, a subscription is required, even though we don't know if the tool is satisfactory for us. You can limit the number of free attempts per day for other functions, such as 5 "Daily Address Scans".

Thank you for the constructive feedback, we really appreciate it.

Just to clarify how access currently works on our platform:

• UTXO analysis is available without login, with up to 5 free address scans per day.
• Explorer features (address, transaction, block, mempool data) are fully free and unlimited, no account required.
• The only feature that is restricted without an account is TX Simulation, as it is resource-intensive and designed primarily for advanced use cases.
• API access is also limited to registered users.

That said, anyone can create an account and start a 7-day Pro trial:
• No payment required
• No credit card or billing details
• All features fully unlocked during the trial period

Our goal is to let users properly test the platform before making any decision, while still protecting infrastructure from abuse.

We’re continuously evaluating the balance between open access and sustainability, and feedback like yours helps us improve that balance.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts.

This looks like very useful tool but I wished there was a way to use it without registering and creating accounts, but I understand this is a paid service
Maybe this could be integrated inside some bitcoin wallet, at least for limited free plan.

Thank you for the thoughtful feedback — much appreciated.

We understand the preference for using tools without registration. That’s why we try to keep a balance between accessibility and sustainability.

A few clarifications:

• UTXO analysis includes a limited free daily quota
• Explorer features (block / tx / address lookup) are fully free and unlimited
• Advanced tools (TX simulation, API access) require Pro access

Anyone can start a 7-day Pro trial without entering payment details, which unlocks all features.

Regarding payments:
Yes — we accept payments in multiple cryptocurrencies, including BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, BNB, SOL, and TRX.

As for integrations:
We definitely agree. For wallets or platforms with strong user value and visibility, we are open to providing **limited or partner-based API access**, including free tiers depending on the use case.
We see Gliese not only as a standalone tool, but also as infrastructure that can improve user experience across the ecosystem.

Feedback like this helps shape that direction — thanks again.

Thanks for your interest!

At the moment, Gliese does not have a dedicated browser extension. Since the project is still quite new and we are focusing on stabilizing the core platform and features, an extension is not on our immediate roadmap yet.

That said, the platform is fully web-based and works consistently across modern browsers without any additional installation.

A browser extension is definitely something we may consider in the future, especially if there is enough user demand and clear use cases. Feedback like yours helps us shape the roadmap.

Appreciate you taking the time to check it out.

Additionally, while we don’t have a browser extension yet, we do offer a lightweight alternative:

We’ve recently released a **drop-in UTXO Health Widget** that can be embedded directly into any website with just a few lines of HTML.

This allows wallets, platforms, or dashboards to display live UTXO spendability data without requiring users to register or install anything.

The widget is currently available for:
Bitcoin (BTC) and Litecoin (LTC)

We see this as a more flexible and privacy-friendly approach at this stage, especially for integrations and early adoption.

A browser extension could still be considered later on, depending on user demand and real-world use cases.

I see it can be used on different browsers. I want to know if it can be added as extension on my browser?
Let me know quickly.

Gliese Basic Plan is Now FREE
It is nice to have another bitcoin explorer that can be used for free even without creating account.
I also like the Fee Rate Gauge but I would probably moved it more on top instead of fee distribution chart, just replace this two positions.
What I noticed is that Transfer Volume and Fee Distribution charts tend to open slower when I open explorer page.

Thank you for the feedback, we really appreciate it.

Your suggestion about the Fee Rate Gauge placement makes sense. We will review the layout and consider moving it higher on the page as you suggested.

Regarding the charts (Transfer Volume and Fee Distribution) loading a bit slower: this happens because these charts require more on-chain data processing and calculations before they are rendered. However, we are already looking into ways to optimize this and improve performance so they load faster.

Thanks again for taking the time to test the explorer and share your thoughts. Feedback like this helps us improve the platform.

Development Update – Making On-Chain Data More Understandable

We’ve been focusing on improving how on-chain data is presented, especially for users who are not deeply familiar with UTXO mechanics.

One thing we’ve noticed is that many users struggle with questions like:

• Why is this transaction more expensive than expected?
• Why does this address have so many small inputs?
• When is the right time to consolidate UTXOs?

To address this, we’ve made several improvements across the platform:

• Improved Address Analysis
Address pages now provide clearer insights into transaction history, input structure, and overall activity.

• Enhanced Explorer Visuals
New charts help better understand block structure, fee distribution, and transfer volume.

• Faster Data Processing (ongoing)
We are actively optimizing heavier charts (like transfer volume & fee distribution) to improve loading performance.

• Free Basic Plan
We recently made the Basic plan free for registered users, so more people can explore and test the platform without restrictions.

The goal is simple:
not just showing blockchain data, but helping users understand what’s actually happening.

You can explore it here:
https://gliese.io

Feedback is always welcome — especially from users who actively work with on-chain data.

Threads often lose attention when the layout looks cluttered or hard to follow. I specialize in turning ANN posts into clean, structured, and professional presentations with attractive BBCode formatting. If you’d like, I can help make this thread clear, modern, and easy to read — delivered within 24 hours. DM for more info  Wink
