Does Discipline Matter Compared to Prediction Accuracy?

Discipline surely controls how you bet, while accuracy only affects what you bet on. Without discipline, even good predictions can be wasted efforts and resources.

When it comes to gambling, you can never get it right in prediction, and if accuracy is all you care about just to bet, you may be getting it wrong. Gambling can’t be predicted, and no matter how you think you are right with your predictions in gambling, there is never a guarantee.

Discipline also plays an important role. Discipline will make you understand in gambling that it is not accuracy that matters but the discipline to do the right thing, which is to gamble with the amount that you can afford to lose. Having the best odds in gambling doesn't guarantee a win; one also needs discipline to go about gambling in the right way to reduce the risk of loss.

Do you win through discipline or accurate predictions? I think the answer is obvious. Being disciplined doesn't make you a winning gambler; getting the predictions right does.

Being disciplined would stop you from being a gambler altogether. In other words, disciplined gamblers do not exist. Or if they do, they will gamble with limited amounts. Accuracy in predicting can never be 100%, it is game of chance and even after a lot of homework, your prediction might and will turn out to be wrong.

Then the question comes which one is important. I think discipline is more important because it shapes how you gamble and eventually helps to stop gambling which is the only way to win this game.
