Bitcoin’s drawdowns aren’t unusual. Every major bull cycle has steep corrections along the way.

The real question isn’t will it go up? but did you size your position and plan your exits?

Understanding cycles beats hope every time.

Panicking in the market is usual I think those without experience will panic most, just that many are still yet to understand because from the stand of many the bear market is happening like mirage not as expected, the best for me is to relaxed the mind if your not holding enough it's time to accumulate more because it will surge where one will smile it is usually not straight forward movement, the system create opportunity likes this to accommodate people of new entry, those with experience wouldn't worry much but will be more focused.

I don't see any reasons if any investors support short term investment any day because if eventually engage in selling your asset prematurely or if by any chance that an investors duty is to monitor price of Bitcoin in the market so that he can trade, is a bad idea on focus on trading your Bitcoin portfolio all times because almost all the times you will be seeing losses during your Bitcoin trading, so it is better to make use of your DCA strategy and focus on buying small small and accumulating as your discretionary income can buy.

There is nothing to be disappointed about if you buy Bitcoin with a long-term plan. I think when an investor buy Bitcoin and gets disappointed by the market volatility and sells all the Bitcoins despite facing losses without waiting for the right time, then I can assume that the investor did not really gain proper knowledge about Bitcoin but only buy Bitcoins out of greed or emotion to get rich quick and quickly sold Bitcoin after being disappointed by the market volatility. In reality, all investors who have proper knowledge about Bitcoin are never disappointed by the market volatility because they know very well that it is possible to achieve success in the future by holding Bitcoin for a long time. By consistently buy Bitcoins and holding them for a long time with confidence, it is possible to protect against inflation in the future and expect profits in the long term.

True talk, short term dey sweet for mouth but na there plenty people dey wound their portfolio..  If you dey check chart every minute like say na heart monitor, small red candle go just scatter your head. Before you know, you don sell low come buy high again..  Na so losses dey pile up…

DCA make more sense for person wey really believe in Bitcoin long term..  Just dey buy small small with spare money, no pressure, no overthinking… Time go do the hard work. Sometimes patience na the real strategy, no be plenty buy and sell..

Any how some people will still not just panic but will likely remain in that skepticism, some will still be able to control themselves by not making a hasty sales. But what's the panic about in the first place. There is supposed to have been a clear target as regards Bitcoin asset, so what's happening in the market is not suppose to be enough reason to jump into selling of your Bitcoin stash.

I guess here is an opportunity to increase or double your buying potential instead of overly worrying about the price, others call it aggressive buying!

Investing in Bitcoin and strengthening our existing cash flow management system is a time-consuming process. Our goal in this process is to avoid the risk of overreaction or undue compensation, as well as not to be thrown into an emergency situation without proper education and preparation. In some special situations, we may have no choice but to use Bitcoin, but the most important thing is not to let our own laziness or lack of preparation get us into trouble. Sometimes this may require us to do something or to be engaged in a situation that we do not want. However, the main focus is to regularly invest a portion of our discretionary income in Bitcoin while building and maintaining a strong cash flow management system. While we often do not have someone by our side to ensure that all categories are allocated correctly, we can still develop a system through learning and practice that reduces our risk of starting over and maintains financial stability in the long term.

Many people attention now focus only on bitcoin but what about the local currency? Yes we should not be afraid of bitcoin coming down to the dip but the crashing of dollar in the local exchange with the Fiat currency. Last week the exchange was $1 to N1452 but currently it is $1 to N1378 and before next week will end the price will decrease to N1200 and my prediction to this exchange rate will be $1/N1000.
Upon said that, now that the price of bitcoin is down as for those who want to invest, this is the best time to invest.

Selling in this period doesn't make someone a mad person as you said "mumu" because everyone has their reasons why they are investing in Bitcoin and so, them selling is their own business and I will advise you don't use such word on people because it is not friendly even though you are not putting it on someone direct. Though with what Bitcoin has shown so far it is wise and better we accumulate it and hold for long period of time so we can get something tangible from it and honestly speaking the dip was so massive and anyone who is selling has their reasons like I said earlier and we are not in any position to say things to them.

We shouldn't be afraid of taking the right decisions, sometimes you might feel weird but don't let the fear get over you, if not, you might end up making the wrong decisions that you will definitely regret if the future. You don't have to panic and make decisions in haste by selling your bitcoin because it is coming down to the dip. Time will definitely tells, but we must exercise a little bit patient in order to witness the great time ahead. Bitcoin is actually a great investment, but it is only suitable for those who have patient and are willing to learn, and also ready to adapt to the morden changes and challenges that arise with the circumstance. Selling our assets is not always the best solution to our problems during this kind of situation, what matters most is patient and also avoid fear of losing everything, because it will only endanger your assets.

We are now in a bear market which would be a dip. This is a normal phenomenon in the Bitcoin market which can be understood from the previous statistics. It was undoubtedly much faster than we expected which I was not at all prepared for. But we must accept such declines.

Bitcoin is now regularly below $70k which is almost 50% down from the ATH. Maybe we will stay in this dip for a few more days and see 2026 as a bear season. Because, a few days ago we were in a bull market and passed it.

For Bitcoin this kind of volatility is normal. Prices swing up and down almost all the time. The number for a single day do not change the long-term story.

When you are holding for the future, moves of short-term should not sway your confidence. What really matters is your approach and risk tolerance. Many long-term holders has been rewarded by patience, yet that do not mean the just goes up. It is okey uncertain feeling sometimes, though don't confuse volatility that is normal with a really reason to panic.

Remain focused on your goals, continue to learn, and just put in what you can afford to hold during the ups and downs. Discipline always beats emotions in investing.

There’s absolutely no reason to get panicked about bitcoin investment if you’re a long term holder. The season it’s quite known to every investor that there’ll be a bear and a bull season, but the bear season tends to create a lot of noise, even the bull season comes with a lot noise but a joyful one because during that season investors must have made profits and are excited to reap their profits.Just as the Op has said that there are better days ahead so wait for the bull moment.

Of course, panicking in the markets is natural because it is a recurring occurrence due to US political turmoil that we are aware of, so it seems to me that the inexperienced will be the most panicked. At this stage, I would also say like you that it is best to keep a calm mind because it does not take much time for the market movement and sentiment to change. However, we may have seen that the price of Bitcoin has been dumped by more than 45 percent from ATH in this new year 2026 but in history Bitcoin has risen from much lower lows to much higher highs. Therefore, now is the time to save more through your own local currency because to my knowledge it is possible to expect long-term gains.

You're right everyone have the right to sell whenever they feel like, as a matter of fact majority of those selling their holdings this period might be those early Investors who started thier bitcoin investment some years back probably 4-5 years or so, this set of investors is likely to be in profit even now that the price is down so before taging anyone who is selling now you need to figure out how Long they started thier investment even though some(new Investors) might be tempted to sell this current stage due to one reason or the other but I think it's up to them as I can't possibly make decisions for them.

If you are following up the market price of Bitcoin for sometime now you will noticed that the price isn't that encouraging and it has been making many investors to be more skeptical in their investment journey, as of today Bitcoin is currently at a price of $78,734.43 and before the end of today you will see a different figure.

However haven't seen all this constant fluctuation in Bitcoin price I decided to bring up this thread to encourage as many that has invested in Bitcoin to stay strong regardless what going on today. For sure, what the future hold in stock for us is greater than we can imagine, don't consider looking back in your investment journey just keep on doing your thing because those that we laugh last actually laughed the best and you must not be left out.
Bitcoin cycles always repeat it's self,  everyone knows that the dip will surely come especially during its last year bullish run. Because no matter the upward momentum it has, it will surely wants to rest and continue.  And after this dip we always knows that it will break another high according to it's history. So I don't know why people keep panicking all because of short term price volatility. Other markets are affected too, Gold , silver , stocks are showing red. They are willing surely be recoveries. People who panic are those who use funds that is meant for their daily lives, or traders. This time is where our patience will be tested the most and who ever fall for it will sell at loss.
