If you no dey smart enough abeg no go near Bybit P2P. I experience something with one vendor recently which is a pure scam attempt. I placed order to sell some USDT. The vendor marked the order as paid while he never pay anything. I waited for the alert but nothing show for my azza. I messaged the guy on Bybit say up to now I never see the money and I get something urgent to use the money for but the potential scammer no reply me.

Few minutes later I saw his message on WhatsApp making excuse that his bank is reversing every payment he's made today. So I asked him to whether I should cancel the order so he can approved from his end since he claimed his bank already refunded him. We spent about 9 minutes on voice call on WhatsApp explaining how he intends to scam me. The image contains his email too. He was given me instructions on how to send my USDT to him using Bybit pay through his email.

I told him to calm down that I no be newbie for this P2P. Make him pay me first before I go send him the USDT. He said that's how this bybit pay use to work. It's a new feature on Bybit according to him and I should do as he said if I need my money. I disclosed his personal details (phone number and email) because scammers deserve no privacy at all. I don't know how he got my number and chatted me up on WhatsApp. I blamed bybit for displaying our registered number to vendors. Or is there anywhere one can hide the number?

This is getting lengthy and I don't know how to explain it accurately but some vendors are obviously on Bybit just to scam. Do not listen to any vendor claiming to pay you with strange method. If possible trade with verified vendors that have "feature or institution" tag all the time because they're reliable vendors. Don't go for higher price and don't trade with vendors that have less trade volume. I hope you get this information rightly.

Because of how many scam exchanges are out there, it is believed that the popularity of an exchange means it is a reputable one. There are other platforms that you could try; it does not only have to be Bybit. If you have noticed that there are scammers there, find an alternative before you get scammed yourself.

The matter just get as e be, everyday na so so complaints from bybits,abi bybit no dey received this complaints from users because e don't too much. I believe say if bybit dey take their users complaint seriously most of this scammers for don run leave the platform. Just dey careful my broda cause those scammers dey update their schemes on a regular, when you feel say this one done cast dem go use another one wey you no totally understand run you wetin no nice. No doubt,,, it is true that Bybit crypto exchange is full of scammers, and people should be extremely careful when executing a p2p trade on Bybit, and most importantly when a vendor tries to have you discuss about trade of the exchange, don't yo ever allow it, because it will be very easy for him or her to deny that nothing of such ever happened. And that's why the exchange has its own section where you guys can discuss about the trade on the platform. So as a newbie, when you see someone who is just trying to play smart, the best thing to do is not just disturb yourself, but allow the trade to end and make a remark that you never saw any payment

I no dey use but so I fit no relate well. But waitn we suppose know na say no be only bybit this kind scam dey. E dey almost every P2P place. So far Nigerian vendor dey involved, edey always get issue.

On of my guy wey sabi bybit say him dey only use institution trade P2P. Those ones na special vendors for bybit, and ones you place order, dem dey send am come instantly.maybe you fit try that ones, but I no know as dem be too.

P2P for Nigeria turn yeye thing because scammers dey find every means to thief thief. You just need to shine your eyes well well  because even some sef dey wear sheepskin to make sure dem convince you say dem good.

Dis wan na error on ur part. Even Bybit dey warn users make dem nor chat wit anybodi outside dem platform or exchange personal information wit anyone. Wetin u think be his personal information nor really matta in dis case bc he can quickly dump dem for anoda. Email nor really mean much, d same thing wit phone numba. Display his registered account numba wey Bybit send u and his username. Na those wans be him personal information.

I have seen a lot of scam attempts from the use of Bybit exchange to the extent that i almost forfeit it use for another one, because there are many scammers there who are ready to piss you off, but we can be more profession in our operations by making use of the filter option under the p2p section for our own good.

Just follow through the procedures as I've indicated from the screenshots and avoid all other irrelevant ads that could be scammers form the exchange.

All the signs are there and they are all pointers to the fact that bybit is one of the exchange you can not trust at all. after the first time i hard encounter with p2p vendors on the platform and how it disturbed me coupled with the rigorous process i hard to go through before my fund returned back to me, i have separated my ways and till date i can not think of ever having a thing to do with it except there is no alternate at the inatsnce i want to make use of it.

A simple exchange like bitcoin has been very reliable and it is rare before you will hear stories of scam. why will i then leave an exchange as that and go after what a platform where the safety of my asset is not guaranteed.

Firstly, there's no way you can cancel an order that is already marked paid on Bybit from your end as the seller, except the vendor cancel it himself or it entered into dispute.

You actually have enough of time to even argue with the vendor, once there's no evidential prove about his payment, don't even hesitate to report the issue to bybit financial legal team to resolve the case and they ask him to provide evidence regarding his
payment.



To play safer on this Bybit P2P platform, always ensure you use these two filter buttons I use to filter out the bad eggs, don't get enticed with their a bit higher price difference.

Firstly, there's no way you can cancel an order that is already marked paid on Bybit from your end as the seller, except the vendor cancel it himself or it entered into dispute.

No. That's not true. As a seller you can cancel the trade from your end even if the buyer already marked paid. The only thing is that your own cancellation has no much effect because it has to be approved by the buyer before it can take effect. If the buyer did not counter or reject your order cancellation request within 24hrs, the order will be automatically confirmed cancelled. That's what happened in my case. He didn't approve my request to cancel the trade neither did he rejected it. So I had to wait for 24hrs for the order to cancel automatically and then place another order. We keep on learning every day.

Yes Nigerians should not just be trying one exchange, but Nigerians should not think the other exchanges they want to use will not have scammers, other exchanges go fit be better than Bybit but scammers will be there too.

I wonder what they see in that Bybit that they are not ready or willing to checkout other exchanges that are offering P2P services. Many threads has been created about this Bybit P2P platform, how it has turned to  den of thieves and scammers yet you will see more people people going there to go trade, and come create a thread on things we already know. Were they expecting that their cases will be different or what exactly is attracting them to that Bybit. Does Bybit offer something that other cex don't offer? Issues like this are always coming from Bybit. I tire for who no tire for some Naija people ooo.

Bybit nah one exchange where P2P scammers plenty but I thank God say, at least you know some of the basics about P2P trades. Like never agree to trade outside the exchange. So anyhow scammers take carry am come, you no go fall for them.

Same here, I just dey see people making complaints on how bybit dey promote fake vendors and scammers but ever since I start to dey do P2P trade na bybit I just dey use infact I never trade my coin before via other exchange if not bybit and this challenges way some people dey face me I never see am.

One thing I dey always tell people be say if you see say you no dey favoured for one particular side then you gats switch to the other, as a matter of fact there are other exchanges out there since bybit is turning to a scam zone why not try a different one and see how it goes.
