Maybe it's the other way around and more people are playing because they win more often which says the game has a better payout and better edges for the players

I play the games people suggest as good games because they are usually good compared to other not played slots that are not fun or look like slop

If a new game is released I will try and see if I should switch or go back to the slots I am used to play

That’s another valid basis too, because if you follow simple logic, gamblers usually play games where they’re actually winning, so it makes sense to avoid games that barely have any players. Still, for the love of the game, you can play them once in a while, just keep the risk low and don’t go overboard.

There are older games like Gates of Olympus from Pragmatic Play, and even though fewer people are playing them now compared to newer titles, you still see casinos using them in announcements and promo images. That alone shows they’re still relevant, even if they’re no longer the most popular games around.

Nah, I think it's just coincidence on what you are seeing or experiencing. Still boils down on luck and randomness of a slot machine whether you are going to win or not. This is just another classic example of gamblers fallacy.

So for me, it doesn't matter, I just choose slot games that I'm going to enjoy and just feel positive that it will give me a good win. Although others might have a favorite like what theme of a slot games they want, but still it goes down on our luck whether we are going to win or not.

Care to explain the logic behind that. For me, when I see only a few players, it usually means fewer people are patronizing the game, most likely because they’re not winning on it. Casinos already have loyal slot players, so if a game is actually fun or paying well, you’d expect more people to be playing it.

That’s why I find it odd when a game has very low activity but still gets pushed in promos. What’s the real reason behind that.

We all know that we have different opinions when it comes to preferences in gambling, as for me, sometimes I may feels the need to try out something new and get across to the new slot games for the very first time attempt an play them, while in some cases also,  I may decided on playing as the usual way with the existing games on slots, it's all about the feelings and mood at a particular given time.

If I were to decide on a particular slot game to gamble on, it would depend on the graphics and theme of which I love to see. Then I would consider if it is a kind of game I have played before, if not, I look for the RTP in the info or help section to have a better insight, with a clear goal in mind of either looking for a jackpot win or just playing for fun or just testing how the game works.
While high player count isn't really a good basis for being lucky with slot games, I think players rush into a games because they have heard so much about it or seen enough advertising that makes them want to have a firsthand experience, hence the crowd.

It's just a coincidence, in slot games everything will be random so anyone can be lucky, the number of players doesn't seem to determine the winning percentage, I choose slots depending on the trend because I'm just curious, maybe I don't like it because playing slots seems like just a waste of money

Most times, I only play games with the highest number of players at the  moment and this is because i think the house will be reduced at some point and I can't remember thencasiko but their is a casino who makes it obvious during a promotion that the house edge is reduced and truly during that period, my winnings where obviously more than my losses as well.

To me what I noticed most is that when a new game are being launched the chances of winning in that are extremely high because they haven't had more players but when gambler began to focused on that price game you would see how low the winning ratios could be. The same as you, I have this belief that the more gamblers play the slot game, the better the chances of winning are.

I have a list of my favorites, and I just play those most of the time. It's very rare for me to jump into another game that I have not tested yet, especially when I saw how losing streak could come from those I have just played for the first time, and very few gamblers that play.
It might be a superstitious belief only because every gambler has their own algorithm, but I think it's because many gamblers believe that a slot game has a better RTP or have already won many times in that one game, which is why they are gathering on that certain game.
