You see that extra 5 minutes of sleep? It has caused missed prayers, lost jobs, missed flights, late reports and ruined mornings. It sounds funny, but it’s real.
Why do you think those small 5 minutes are so hard to resist and why do they cause so much trouble in real life?
You have a point though, but none of the things you mentioned are actually life threatening compared to a cobra bite. I guess if you were asked to choose, you wouldn't want to risk getting bitten right?.
So back to the topic, No doubt, out of the 8-9 billion people in the world today, this little 5 minutes has affected a decent number of people in one way or the other. Honestly speaking, I have never been a fan of it because I know the risk it poses. I don't know about others, but to me, a very short nap doesn't do much, so I doubt if it's ever worth risking for.
