let's compare it to the current situation, or the altcoin condition during the 2025 bull run.
Bitcoin's dominance remains significantly higher to date, while seasonal altcoins have never been more dominant during this bull run. Most altcoins haven't experienced greater growth than BTC, and the total index of the top coins hasn't shown an increase exceeding the previous ATH, which was much larger.
So, in other words, for this season, I think there hasn't been an altseason (it hasn't happened).
I think it is too early to compare yet and even if we start better now, the situation can still change later on but Bitcoin's dominance should always remain on the top. There is such a thing as an altcoin season but it is only temporary and even if the altcoins are rallying, they won't still outperform Bitcoin on its number one spot.
There is no bull run yet on this year and many believes there won't be, if we follow the 4-year cycle. Altcoin season on the other hand must still be separated with the general bull run, so it may still be possible on this year. I think it didn't happen yet last year, or on older years. So that gives it a better chance to occur.
Surely, well,, the hope is that a special moment in the Alt Season will actually happen.
That's why I'm stating about it compared to the current situation.
And I also added some words that this season, the Alt Season hasn't happened yet, not just not happen.
At least the current facts are that the market is experiencing a drop. There's a lot of panic, and the market is already in a phase of extreme fear, with the IDNEX dropping to 8, and even reaching 5. And the alt season index is only at 25/100. But as you said, we don't know what will happen in the future this year.
