Taking pills after being stressed from work could have been prevented by taking some rest, drinking enough water and eating balanced diet, instead of taking body pain pills on what needed some nap for us to regain our body, i also found out that many have been used to taking body pain killer more often after been worn-out of little work, this is bad and affect our organs when taken in excess or overdose.

There is how the human body is wired. It is wired on adaptation. What you feed the body with for a long time, the body will no longer be able to survive if you stop feeding it. It might survive, but it will struggle for a very long time.

When I was younger, my mom didn't train me with excessive drugs, tablets and injections. She only goes to the local pharmacist in an extreme condition. That training made my immune system so strong and able to fight disease. Now that I am an adult, I could go for years without any form of sickness.

In same manner, people who cannot live without medication will continue to give their body the medication it needs because the antibodies have not been trained to fight for the body.

Too much self medication can surely become a bad habit. Sometimes the body only needs proper rest, water, good food and sleep instead of always rushing to take drugs for every little pain or stress. Taking painkillers too often without real need can also affect the body over time. Imagine someone who takes painkillers every single time they feel tired after work instead of resting properly. After a while, the person may start depending on the drugs even for normal body stress. But people who balance good rest, exercise, healthy eating and only use medicine when necessary, they actually build stronger health habits in the long run.
True, and in addition to that, some people abuse sleeping pills too, maybe when they're having insomnia, they make a habit of using sleeping pills,  and overtime they get used to it and suffer the side effects of body resistance to the pills and the it works no more. There are several cases in hospital of people who's body has grown very resistance to several antibiotics from regular consumption. With that finding the antibiotics that would work on them becomes a big issue.

People really need to slow down on self-medication and allow professionals handle their health cases because most are destroying their health with self-prescribed drug intake, thinking they're aiding it.

Even if you go to the doctor and get diagnosed with an illness. They will also prescribe painkillers and antibiotics for you.

You dont need to see a doctor for just a mild headache or a slight fever, you can absolutely buy medicine and take it yourself. However, if your condition does not improve and gets worse, you should see a doctor.
So, the problem is not self medicating itself, but the fact that many people abuse painkillers excessively and carelessly. They refused to see a doctor even after self-treating and repeatedly changed medications on their own, even when their condition didnt improve.

My mother has kidney problem (chronic kidney disease) thats why doctor has advised him 'Nuberol Forte' tablet as painkiller, it doesn't effect kidneys. Going to doctor will be beneficial if you have problems of diabetes or hypertension. For mild issues like headache or fever, I prefer not to take any medicine at first rather a long uninterrupted night sleep is best cure for headache. We must avoid allopathic medicine as much as we can or if its necessary then take it in minimum quantity, if you are doing self medication.

Self medication isn't always the issue most people treat minor problems at home first, but the real danger begins when individuals keep guessing mixing drugs increasing dosage or ignoring symptoms that clearly need medical attention  a simple headache today can lead to something more serious tomorrow if it's consistently covered  up with painkillers instead of being properly observed by doctors.

Rich people do not think twice to go to hospital if anything happened to them, but different is the case for people that are not rich or people that are poor.

Self mediation is not good but people that are poor will not go to hospital until the illness is getting worse. If they take drug and it relieved them, they will not think of going to hospital.

But some disease can first appear like malaria or other common diseases that can be treated easily at home. The first acute symptoms can go on its own thinking the drung used is effective. It may not be known in time and that can be what will later kill the person when it is too late. Knowing it earlier is better but life is just what it is because self-medication is cheaper.
The rich always go to the hospital whenever they are sick to get proper medical treatment while the poor mostly rely on self medication and this is very wrong. Taking drugs without doctors prescription is very bad and it can cause serious harm to ones system. However, the reason why the poor mostly rely on self medication is because they can afford hospital bills and for the rich this isn't a problem to them. Also most of the poor people don't understand the harmful effects of self medication to them it is just like normal thing. Therefore, self medication can be reduced if hospital bills are affordable.
self medication may seem cheap as you don't need to pay for consultations and test rather you just go to a pharmacy buy whatever medication you think you need and can afford and take, mostly treating symptoms and not the infection or disease. The thing is some of these medications taken overtime can damage our organs or constant abuse may lead to drug resistance and then you will spend the real money

seeing a physician is not that hard to do, because they are mostly accessible by everyone, once you can afford the consultation fee, whereas for the poor, they can always go to government owned hospitals and seek for the route to free medical care services.
But... is it really justifiable for a health practitioner or a doctor to charge consultation fees? for me it doesn't make any sense because at the end of the day, after the consultation, any medical care will still be paid for by the patient so why are they charging for just consultation. Consultation is supposed to be free because it is just a meeting where you explain your health problems to the doctor then he will give you a health advice on what next to do. Some physicians have made it difficult for ill people because imagine after paying for consultation fee you will still proceed to make payments for any medical that will be given to you. They should make things easier for the common man because at the end of the day they are the ones that suffers most and also face more health challenges due to the kind of environment and life they are prone to live.

I’ll like to just add a few things as to what you’ve said. Firstly anything that has to do with medication most especially the drugs that are ingested should be prescribed by a qualified personnel. The doses are what mater if you don’t take the right dose the medicine might not even work and sometimes results to other reactions/ complications.

There is another things called drugs resistance, it’s a situation where your body is already use to the drugs and it no longer work even if you take them when you’re ill. It’s caused as a result of self medication most time, that is why you’ll see people complaining that I’m taking a particular drug and it’s not even effective anymore.

The best thing you should do is to visit a health care facility get tested and also take prescription from them. Else you’re putting your life at risk and the complications might not happen immediately but maybe definitely in the long run.

The main problem when you visit a doctor , you never know whether he is looking after you or if he is dealing you like a customer. Some Doctors are very good but frequent doctors do not care about your problem. They just focus on their fee and they don't even give proper attention to their patients problem. The prescription can be right or wrong but the pharmacy technician who is dealing with you in medicines might give you a local company's medicine instead of giving you a multinational product. And that is the result that most of the people do not trust the Doctors and use their medicine according to their own well.

As much as I would love to advise others not to indulge in self medication, I will also keep advising myself not indulge in such practice because it is something one is easily attached to. I have also engaged in one form or other other form of self medication. Usually I won't start taking medications and prefer to stay until the sickness gains over me and after wards I will now start to also advise my self to not do any form of self medication but look for the nearest hospital or clinic especially once the sickness goes beyond their control.

Medication is a serious matter and must not be taken for granted. It's fine to do self medication for minor issues like headache but for serious issues always check doctor for proper medicine. Pain killers are not the only threat to our body but other medicines also have there side effects. There are remedies which we can do instead to avoid side effects of medicines like Gargle to treat pain in throat, take green tea for cough such remedies are best to treat minor issues without taking any allopathic medicine.
