Posts deleted without notification

I don't know if I am the only one experiencing this. Recently, I noticed that my posts on bitcoin discussion were deleted without notification on either telegram bot or the forum inbox.

It happened the first time and I assumed the fault was probably from my end. I assumed I didn't click on post after I finished typing. It happened again yesterday which I was so sure I made a post on bitcoin discussion.

Has forum disable notification for deleted posts? I do receive message before now when personal posts are deleted or when entire thread got nuked. What has changed now?

No they have not right from time it’s not all post deleted that we get notifications about them, sometimes I receive other times I just have to notice my post reduced, it’s either the moderator who handle the deletion of the comment decide to send the message, or the entire thread (Op) is deleted which most of such case no forum message is usually sent.

Maybe the topic where you replied to was deleted. If the topic has been deleted, those that posted under the topic will not be notified.

But I still get notifications through Telegram and that is how it has been before if the parent topic was deleted which I replied under.

Maybe the topic where you replied to was deleted. If the topic has been deleted, those that posted under the topic will not be notified.

It's a board only available for staffs and mods also admin, threads there are actually not deleted, they can move back the threads that was moved from there, some instances like that happened before. For traces, you can use bitlist archive or bpip extension and enable bitlist archive.

That is why it is sometimes useful to follow the discussion itself. Sometimes topics can be deleted by moderators due to the fact that the topic was created using AI. But even after being warned by some users, others continue to write on such topics, and then they become confused about the disappearance of such topics.
You can check if the topic you answered was really useful or if it was created by an AI and was deleted.

This user just registered and spammed the forum by creating multiple posts using AI.

Off topic are discussions that doesn't have a better place to be fit and it's different from trashcan. Regular users can see Off topics but not trashcan, it's a board accessible to moderators and admin.

Most often, deleted threads and posts could be as a result of spam or if the thread already exists and not because they hold no place in any designated board in the forum.

I don't think you can spam and repeats threads on offtopics, the board is moderated like the way other boards are watched.

The best way to avoid post deletion is to check if the thread already exist or it's spam. If it constitute the two, you don't have to add your opinion, just ignore and go to another one, even if it takes days and week, moderators will eventually delete it when the have the time.

Sometimes your posts will be deleted without notification both on message and telegram bot...it usually occur when the entire thread is been deleted or archived by the mod....

Actually you are suppose to receive a notification if you have not mistakenly click on delete...but if its reported and moderator delete it base on the quality, you will surely receive a notification...

I dont think forum has disabled message notification, even though forum disable a message notification, you are suppose to see the deleted messages on your message icon when you access your messages inbox..

Right. That's exactly my point.
As shown in the image you shared, that topic has been marked as deleted in bitlist.co and OP has probably received notification about that in telegram.

OP has another recent deleted post in bitcoin discussion which its topic hasn't been marked as deleted in bitlist.co yet and I think that's the post OP is talking about.

very different. You can view everything on off-topic board, even if the topic was moved there. The post count won't change.
My advice is you stop engaging in low quality posts that do not even fit the description of the board because they are more likely to get deleted or moved. That way you won't have to worry about your posts that "vanished"

I don’t think notifications for deleted posts are disabled, looking at the replies here I think it wasn’t your post that got deleted but the entire topic you replied to. This has happened at least once or twice to most of us and I remember receiving a notification only from the Tryninja bot on Telegram.

I think that sometimes better to check the topic itself and see whether the OP is following the rules. If the whole thread looks an AI generated or just a useless topic, it’s better to ignore it or report it because it will most likely be deleted sooner or later. Just my two cents

Thank you for this. I mostly checked poster tag when replying to a fresh thread to see whether they are linked with Ai or not especially if the poster is a newbie. The user "Kenzb1" has no active tag related to the use of Ai. And sometimes, you can join discussion if you find it interesting without even thinking about being generated with Ai. We keep learning here always.

Yes, I'm talking about that post and the one referenced bylovesmayfamilis. I checked the bot on telegram when I noticed the disappearance of my post. I traced the notification carefully but I didn't see it. I probably missed it while scrolling.

You can check if the topic you answered was really useful or if it was created by an AI and was deleted.

If a topic is bad, AI generated or plagiarsim or useless, with above posts as replies from some forum members who did some checks on quality and origin, then make their replies as reminders, other posters who continue replying in such topics are very possibly simply posting, and they did not spend time for reading above replies.

This replying style is not new and only lead to confusion later when their replies are deteled by moderators or that thread deleted by moderator.

Like in Beginners & Help, a topic "Newbies - Read before posting" but many newbies did not read anything at all, they simply posted.

Actually, the bot only notifies you if you posted on a topic that was shows up on the modlog as removed (i.e Remove topic: XXXX).

I noticed the creator of the topic was nuked entirely, so there is no notification as of now.

I will change that this week.

Most of the times I made post and got it deleted, am being notifiedz but this does not make it 100% certainty that I got notified of every deleted post, even if it was the mother thread I quoted from yet got deleted, I got notified, but why some may not appear as a notification has already been explained by TryNinja.

This happened to me few times, usually when specific topic gets nuked by moderators, and I didn't received any PM about that.
There is one workaround for that if you use BTTSuperNotifier_bot in telegram and enable notifications for deleted posts.
It's not a big deal for me except in case if a bunch of my posts gets deleted.

Probably the notification bot was not active to capture the active. I can't really remember the last time my post was deleted to give effective response to your complain but I can remember I recently read here about a newbie what could be the reason of his post being deleted. I belive he was able to realize that through his notifier.
I don't also think Theymos would buy the ideal of banning the extention forum notifier because they are helpful features that the forum site lacks to help users get notified on the supported features of the bots.
