Bbcode trick: learn to quote quality posters.

I learnt something new to me because of one tactics that I use.
When you see a legendary member you admire that produces quality posts, try to quote their post and learn the structures, formats and the BBcodes they used. This will help you to format your post better or ease your post making. '

For instance;
Trying to make a list item, with what was taught in BBcodes, you will have to get a "list" tag, then "li" tag open and close; just like this

Code:

[list]
[li] Number one [/li]
[li] Number two [/li]
[li] Number three [/li]
[/list]

The result:

• Number one
• Number two
• Number three

But I just learnt that instead of doing all of the above, you can just do;

Code:

[*] Number one
[*] Number two
[*] Number three

The result:

• Number one
• Number two
• Number three

That's accessible in the "Help" menu above, between 'Home' and 'Search' menus.
Take note that some of them are disabled like marquee and flash.

For additional tricks, there are a few niche use-case of this:
If you want to display tags without triggering them, you can enclose it inside [nobbc][/nobbc] tags like this:

[nobbc][quote][/quote][/nobbc]

Result: [quote][/quote]
Useful if you want to mention tags without using [code][/code] tags, like so.

Lastly, you can also use the trick that I've just used to shorten links to Bitcointalk posts/pages like in the link above.
If it's just within Bitcointalk, you can omit "bitcointalk.org" and it'll still be a valid link to your intended post.
