What's up, miners!
Sharing a solid tool for CPU mining XMR — Principium.
What's the deal?
This isn't a bloated GUI miner, but a console utility. The key is minimal overhead. It pushes RandomX to the limit while barely loading the system. You can use your PC for other tasks while mining hums quietly in the background.
Why CPU only?
Monero (XMR) is CPU territory. The RandomX algorithm is tailor-made for processors and is ASIC-resistant. GPUs are practically useless here — a waste of watts and hash rate.
Quick start:
Grab the miner here:
Principium Unpack, edit config.json:

"MainPool": {
"Host": "xmr-eu.kryptex.network",
"Port": 7029,
"User": "your_wallet_or_kryptex_email",
"Password": "x",
"PowerPercentage": 100
}
}
Run Principium.exe.
Features:
Auto-optimization for RandomX.
Low resource footprint (runs as a service).
Built-in reconnect to the pool.
Proxy support (HTTP).
Developer fee: 1% (transparent, supports development).
Quick benchmarks:
i5-11400F ≈ 6 kH/s, ~70W → ~$0.8-1/month (depending on rates).
Ryzen 5 5600X → up to 7.5 kH/s.
Ryzen 7 5800X → around 9 kH/s.
PowerPercentage is your throttle: 100% = max hash, 70% = balance with PC use, 40% = minimal impact.
Recommended pool:
Kryptex (0.5% fee, card withdrawals, 24/7 support). Alternatives: SupportXMR, MoneroOcean.
Important:
Add the folder to antivirus exceptions.
Set Windows power plan to High performance.
Ensure proper CPU cooling.
Check your local laws regarding mining.
No bloat, no fuss — just clean, efficient hashing. Perfect for turning idle cores into XMR.
