The problem there is they trying to make a lot of money from gambling, why would you want to make a lot of money from uncertainty, risking all your hard earn certain money? That isn’t a wise thing to do..

Some people see gambling as a relieve from stress while some think of it as a relieve from depression but the truth remains the fact that it is not the best option to a relieve from depression because that would even make the case worst. You are right to some extent, there are games that requires a gambler to use their skill and ability to participate or play, these type of game can be played for fun but those you don't use your hand to play and see how you are losing are not really for the purpose of easing pain and stress.  Those ones folks play with their hands due to the skill they have are not luck based games because it is how good and skilful you are that will make you win though sometimes there use to cheat.

But if that is the case why do we usually complain most times when we lose or why the persistent chasing of lost or try to get back our lost each time we lose in our gaming streak , perhaps is it that some of us aren't sincere to our self when we usually say we only gamble for the fun? It will make sense if you used singular pronoun instead of plural. I gamble for my own reason, I don't know why other people gamble. Some people gamble for comfort, some gamble for fun but are few in numbers, some people gamble because of peer pressure, they have never gamble all their life, it's because one of their friends decided to gamble and they feel like to give it a try but general notion of gambling is to make money, I believe you know this one better.

Let's not hide under any circumstance trying to impress people, many of us gamble because we feel like gambling and the money behind it is the real deal. The only difference between some gamblers and my own philosophy is that the day I gamble and the day I don't, there is no any difference of such, if the money comes then we good and if it doesn't then we move on like nothing even happen between me, my money and the casino.
