Yes, most people don't admit it openly. Most say it's for fun and entertainment, but in reality, money is the biggest motivator behind everything we do. Otherwise, we wouldn't admit it, but deep down, we know it.

Everyone has their own reasons when they want to gamble. Some may be because they feel bored and want to find entertainment, while others do it to make money like a regular job. Whatever the reason, each person has their own reasons for gambling. But whatever the reason, gambling should be considered as entertainment, not as a financial solution because if so, the person will fall into the wrong gambling pattern and will most likely lose all his money.

Yes, and no. Yes because those who are in need for money are probably lying if they say that they gamble for fun, because who the hell are you fooling? You can't spend so much money on something and say you are doing it for entertainment when you can clearly not afford that, so it's better that you admit that you are doing it for money, and even if you are not doing it excessively and only trying your luck once or twice a month or so, it's still done with the hope that you might win something significant and that is going to help you in life with some things that require finances.

But one things I always avoid is chasing my loses anytime I encounter one. To tell the truth, we gamble because we want to see many potential things here such as winning big, having fun, testing our luck, etc. However, most people gamble to change their luck. Most gamblers think that they can win big by gambling which will change their luck. This is basically why everyone is interested in gambling. Especially poor people are more addicted to gambling because they want to see their economic situation change.

We gamble for fun like we all know, to ease stress, for good health, knowledge and also to keep the body fit.

Just as it is true that many people come to gamble just for entertainment, there are also many people who come to gamble out of greed and spend beyond their ability to lose. So here we will find two categories of people who mainly gamble for entertainment and another category of people who gamble only for greed so that they can generate money from gambling.
If people in the first category gamble in the right way, then the first thing you mentioned will definitely apply to them.But in the second case, those who are addicted to gambling and keep quiet about gambling only to generate money, even after losing, they try again beyond their ability to lose, which is why their situation later becomes deplorable.

I do not complain on the result of my gambling activities.  I maybe disappointed or frustrated but I blame it on my luck on the platform.  I gamble for fun and profit.  It would be a waste to not aim for profit while having fun.  Although the main goal is to have entertainment, it is not forbidden to have a secondary goal which is to win if possible.

Well, I don't know the reason why others gamble but when I see questions like this, I am often very sincere with my answer as to why I gamble. Personally and on general terms, I gamble simply to have fun but that does not mean I don't value winnings, as a matter of fact, winning is also part of the fun we enjoy..

So, what this mean is that I gamble for fun, and this does not stop me from striving to win, in as much as we should all be gambling for fun, I am very sure that no one will enjoy constantly losing money because losing money is no fun at all especially the money we struggle really hard to make, so, gambling for fun does not necessarily mean to fold hands and legs and lose money constantly and almost like purpose, I have to try what ever thing I know will help me to win cus like I said before, that's part of the fun as well.

To be honest, initially I gambled to increase my income and wanted to get money instantly. At first, I really wanted to win when I gambled and was constantly looking for new strategies on how to win every day. As I gained experience, I finally realized that I wasted so much money and time on gambling without achieving my main goal, and now I just enjoy it.

You are right. When we ask someone why they gamble, most of them answer that they gamble for entertainment. Most people start gambling for entertainment. But over time, when the losses increase, they gamble to recover the losses. It is very natural to think about how to recover your money when you lose it. But you cannot become addicted to gambling while trying to recover it. Most people cannot control their emotions, so they become addicted to gambling.

I don’t know about the others but personally, the reason why I gamble is to have fun and also make money off the bet I made. If I just tell you straight up that I only gamble for fun and not for money then it would mean that I am a liar. I have gambled for fun and I have also gambled for monetary reasons and that is the reason why when I lose some bets I still complain for a short time.

My entire gambling life isn’t hinged on the “entertainment” as only I also try to get some profit from it but I don’t make it excessive to the point where I’ll have to start looking for strategies to make me win more.

Most people are not being honest with their response, they might say that they gamble for fun but at the end of the day they stake huge amounts of money, this isn't what someone that gambles for fun would do. A lot of people chase profits aand gamble irresponsibly but still claim to gamble for entertainment.
