If you have a risk threshold that you are constantly sticking to, you will notice you become more profitable when you bet consecutively. What actually makes gambling is the presence of luck no matter how small it may seem. The fact is personally I see sports betting as straight up luck. We've seen really good teams flop so badly in some matches and similarly we've also seen teams people least expect do exploit in some seasons.

Making mention of strategies convince me that you are referring to sport bet. That by the way!
In sport bets you need stratgical skill of analyzing the game before you you place your bet and since no bet is guaranteed, it is possible that you will not win as much as you hoped for while consistency will give you more experience to discover better strategies and only in the long run can you be hopeful to win because at no account should any promising game that is to give you wins be trusted until the game over.

I think this kind of thread was created some days ago about consistency and strategy, but I will tell you that consistency and good bankroll management is the key because you might have a good strategy but no good bankroll management and not being consistent. When you learn a good bankroll management then consistency will play it's part because how you are able to manage your bankroll will determine how consistent and long lasting you will bet. The more consistent you are, the more chances you have to win, expecialy when you have a good strategy to backup your consistency.

You don't necessarily need to be a consistent gambler to win bets, if you got a very good strategy and plays occasionally, consistency is none of your business. You time, calculate and you play, a gambler who wins at least one or two times bets in a week and who isn't a consistent gambler, is way more better than a gambler who gambles everyday and in the end has no winning to record home.

A gambler can be consistent in gambling without winning  also in the other hand being strategic doesn't make a gambler to win. Consistency in gambling means you are going to put more time and money than you should on this activity, and as consequence, it will impact your life negatively after a while. It's like someone who is consistent on partying, playing videogames or any other entertainment practice.
