Did you hold this to heart?  Don't we have enough of these lies of politicians?  We can agree to think that Trump probably is genuine in his support for BTC, but the advice of not selling it?  It is somehow laughable.  Politicians are known to ride the popularity of certain things to get the support of the people and his statement about Bitcoin and his action is one of them.  So it is not a surprise that he and his son's company sold BTC.

Donald Trump will never cease to amaze me. I thought he was among those persons who were saying it time without number that we shouldn't sell our Bitcoin holding. that we should hold for years even for their life. How come he now sold his Bitcoin?  Or does it mean that trump is someone who can't practice what he preaches? What a life politician will always be a politician not matter what.

Before now i already know that nothing good can come out of trump, why because every word that comes out of his mouth is political.
And The earlier people start realize that Trump is not someone you should taking any word that comes out of his mouth serious it will be better for them. because when the time comes Trump will definitely do otherwise or the opposite of what he siad.  Well I don't mean to offend anyone, I am saying things the way they are, so no offense.

Quote
It is not that Trump has directly sold Bitcoin that he personally owns
I don't know what the story is here but I know this much that the super rich (the 1%) don't "invest" in things like bitcoin. They use them to make more money. For example back when some people were excited just because the pervert had mentioned bitcoin in his campaign to get their votes, it was clear that he wants to run some scam. Shortly after we saw how they created a shittoken and sold it to the most gullible to make millions.

All of them are like this, like that old guy the "rat poison" guy whom I've forgotten the name of. He shittalks about bitcoin a lot and meanwhile he has investments in some companies that are related to crypto. Same with the scammers in JPMorgan like their corrupt CEO who called bitcoin "fraud".
Whenever they say anything about bitcoin, whether it is positive or negative, they are doing it to indirectly fill their own pockets.
That's so right! People like Trump do not really invest in Bitcoin like regular guys, they want to make money from it and there are endless possibilities for them. He can pump and dump the price whenever and however he wants. As I'm typing this, I'm getting very angry because this is so disgusting. The guy is convicted of 34 felons, still commits crimes and doesn't get punished, this is insane.

That's why I say people should seriously stop paying attention to what these "celebrities" say or do. None of it changes anything about Bitcoin.
People won't stop paying attention to them because since they are rich guys, people think that if they follow their advice, they'll step up in life but they don't realize that these rich people expect things from you and all they are doing is to get benefits from you.

I would be surprised if people are surprised that WLFI sold some of their Bitcoins.
Trump don't really care about Cryptocurrency or worse Bitcoin and only cares about what it would profit him
Pushed it at first because of the election
Then showed fake love so it's family can benefit from insider trading.

I still don't understand why they didn't just sell when it was higher and are selling now.
Doesn't really seem rational except there's an implicit reason .

It may be a smart move to sell off some BTC as his business is doing. No wonder the price of BTC keeps dipping or showing a slow rise whenever he or the Feds are making policies on crypto currency assets and other related laws.
They actually know what the are doing and it may be just to pay off huge debts as we know, but am sure Donald Trump and his business has more BTC and cryptocurrency in storage than meets the eyes, perhaps this is also to show he is a supporter of BTC and is making this move to show power and influence and support for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general.

How can we trust a man who called bitcoin a scam against the dollar in 2021
''Once a criminal, always a criminal''
Donald Trump is never a bitcoin friendly president as he proclaimed at the bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville. He did all that just to secure votes from bitcoiners and crypto enthusiasts. His real intentions are beginning to manifest one after another. Anyways my happiness is that after 4 years (a year is gone already), all these Donald Trump manipulations will end. Where you will know that Donald Trump never liked bitcoin was when he first announced the tariffs and saw that it had a negative impact in the price of bitcoin, he had to do it over and over again just so that the price of bitcoin will crash.

He did all that not only to win vote from bitcoin and crypto investors, but also to enrich his family. He always babbles that he will never sell bitcoin, turning the US into the capital of crypto. And what he did was create shitcoins like TRUMP, MELANIA and WLFI, and hype them up to sell to the community, and rake in billions of dollars.

Not only Trump, but politicians in general are not friendly towards bitcoin, they are simply exploiting it for their own purposes.

At the end of the day, the politicians' words will just be taken for granted but it's powerful enough to create temporary hype whether it's just positive or negative.

But what needs to be underlined here is a reality that we cannot change where those who control their system will only try to make this a stepping stone including for bitcoin. Trump's initial intention to talk about bitcoin was also not about his belief in bitcoin but only limited to personal gain especially when the moment became fitting when he was in the candidacy at that time so that he could take advantage of it.

Now? Some will only feel deceived by his talk first and some will make this a natural situation because they know from the start that this condition must occur.

Come on, for those of you who hate Trump, here's a thread where you can vent to your heart's content. Let's go.

It is not that Trump has directly sold Bitcoin that he personally owns, but rather that a company controlled by him and his sons has done so.

Donald Trump’s WLFI Sells $5M Bitcoin, Vitalik Buterin Sells $7M Ethereum — Why Are Bulls Not Buying?

Let us recall what he said in the past.

Trump says "never sell your Bitcoin" #hodl

Let's remember that Eric Trump is friends with Michael Saylor, another guy who's widely known for spreading the same message although a few months ago he also changed his stance on this.

In the end, it's clear that you can believe at most half of what a politician says, and the same goes for someone who is trying to sell you something.

We must keep in mind Trump’s background as a businessman; his actions are quite predictable in that context. If he sees an opportunity to take profits, he will likely take it.
There is speculation that he and Vitalik might share the view that Bitcoin and Ethereum are due for another correction.

Nevertheless, it is fundamental to understand that both assets are inherently volatile and decentralized. I am currently observing a potential short-term reversal in Bitcoin, although it remains uncertain if it has enough momentum to reclaim the $80,000 level.

Let us recall what he said in the past.

Trump says "never sell your Bitcoin" #hodl

Trump sold a Casascius coin he was gifted by his crypto advisor, David Bailey, at the same conference he said this. His words on never selling were always meaningless.
https://x.com/dansemperepico/status/1852587229186511002

Technically, World Liberty only sold Wrapped Bitcoin and it was to avoid liquidation, which would have force sold their collateral. Regardless of specifics, this has never been an ideological project. Its purpose always was to use Trump’s status to make as many self-serving deals as possible.

They are selling their bitcoin to manage their health factor in aave, otherwise they'd risk being liquidated. This obviously doesn't imply bearish sentiment from them, more of risk management in my opinion.

Though, it's still a sell regardless.

My point is he said "you never sell your Bitcoin", not "you never sell your Bitcoin if you own a Bitcoin Treasury Company but you can sell it otherwise".
Trump said that America will follow the rule that every Bitcoin [enthusiast] knows very well: never sell your Bitcoins. At the same time, he also said that he doesn't know whether it's right or not. I can't blame in this case for selling Bitcoins, he has never said he is gonna HODL forever. The guy doesn't even know how to pay with Bitcoin, why would someone expect anything said by him about Bitcoin is really said by him and not written by someone else?

Trump statements always look like political optics than being committed on Bitcoin. His statement about never sell their Bitcoin while saying he don't know if this is right or wrongs somehow shows that he don't have idea on what he says. Also he's just promising but don't have plans to make it happen.

That HODL thing is built culture by Bitcoin community, not those politicians like Trump which didn't even know how to spend it. That's the reason I really don't believe what Trump says since I think he's just hyping Bitcoin because its so helpful in his political career.

I saw one of his interview and if I remember correctly, he even admitted that he doesn't know many things and is sceptical about many things but this time he decided to follow the advice of young people, especially his young son and he is thankful for that decision. He streamed with Adin Ross and other people because Barron Trump suggested him to do that. He is also extremely thankful of Barron Trump because Barron suggested him to prioritize TikTok and become active there.

It's very sad that we elect politicians who don't know how to run the country, what to approve and what to disapprove.

Not shocking considering the price is going down and we are in the bear market and expectation is for the price to drop even more. So while it's true that we are facing something that will have a great return eventually because if you sell now and buy later when it's down, whales are also aware of this as well.

It is not really that crazy and we can make this work one way or another. While we shouldn't be worried about it, we could potentially make sure that we are dealing with something much better if we sell now like them, and buy later like them.

Oh no! Trump lied! I need to take a bath before someone decides water is wet  Grin

Paper hands! The lot of them.
The market will just flush them out just like the 2021 paper bags.

Hands full of paper, there, fixed that for you!
At least "officially" they made 1.4 billion $ out of crypto, I would gladly choose to be a paper hand like them rather than spending my lie couting a dozen bitcoin!

Donald Trump will never cease to amaze me. I thought he was among those persons who were saying it time without number that we shouldn't sell our Bitcoin holding.

Come on, seriously? You actually believed him? Like, seriously, you thought he was going to keep his word?
Why in the name o god would you do this?

They are selling their bitcoin to manage their health factor in aave, otherwise they'd risk being liquidated. This obviously doesn't imply bearish sentiment from them, more of risk management in my opinion.

Though, it's still a sell regardless.
I would really be surprised for someone like Donald Trump because of the way he is very enthusiastic about bitcoin and cryptocurrency, but I’m also going to think that this information haven’t been verified because I absolutely don’t know if that is true, the information haven’t been verified to be true.

But if it’s true that he is selling or have already sold I will have to think that it’s because of the bearish season and maybe he is selling to buy back, nobody would have know if it’s true anyway, he definitely have an idea of risk management.

In the end, it's clear that you can believe at most half of what a politician says, and the same goes for someone who is trying to sell you something.
politics money talk is always going to be messy folks say one thing do another. end of the day trust actions more than hype and do not blindly follow anyones bag moves can cause you to lose in the end

We all should remember that Trump is a politician who will not be straight forward in his words and  making decisions, so that he will not be caught by his own words at the long run.

From his statement it is not certain that the American led government by him cannot sell bitcoin, i think his speech is confusing about having bitcoin individually and as a firm.

Trump has shown time and again the kind of person he is, yet somehow, at every turn, people just make excuses for him. He is not one of those politician that acts like wolves in sheep's clothing, or hides his intention, he is not capable of that, but people still fall for it.
I mean, the tweets he made about Bitcoin in his first term are still up, yet people felt that because he said positive tings are about Bitcoin and crypto, he has changed or something.

From the begining it was obvious it was a calculated move, and it worked so well. We even saw how he and his family used it to enrich themselves. These are not things that are difficult to see because its easy to know the kind of person he is. I honesty do not understand how so mnay people dont see it.
Exactly! Even though he can say that the Bitcoin Strategic Reserve will never sell, he can put an order forcing them to do it.
Some idiot actually who commented to my post on another thread saying I was lying and they can never ever sell those bitcoin's that are confiscated they have obtained from criminal activity.
Guess what?! They can because Trump makes those calls and can change the rules of whatever you think they have so called promised they wouldn't do.
What a foolish sack Satofan44 is.

yea 100% facts its the hypocrisy that get me they say one thing and do another while we all follow. you ca not believe a single word that come from their months this is every Politian globally.  when a individual is trying to sell you some thing they will say almost any thing need in order to get that sale then after have a different point of view. its all lies which we fall for over and over
