Yeah, no. We're not at that point yet, that would be a terminator or matrix like reality which might arrive in future but people are still in control right now. There are plenty of opportunities for AI to advance in future and it may be given special privileges especially with eccentric billionaires like Elon Musk around - experimenting with brain microchips and refusing to listen to decency when it comes to his AI engine. If humanity can harness all of the good elements and stay in control of these systems, which considering they'll be infinitely smarter than us will be hard, then we might be able to use them to explore the universe and find enough space for everyone to exist peacefully. However mankind has a tendency towards war, which might not be liked by AI.

From what you're trying to point out, the thought of hope and being afraid of Ai is a mixed one, but if you look from one side technology will make things fast and cheaper but in the other hand humans or people are scared that power and control can turn out to be very dangerous if been used anyhow. It also make it clear that progress isn't all about being fast and also having the comfort. The only thing is that, it's how AI is being used by humans that will determine if it will bring about help or brings new challenges.

AI is definitely having a major impact in global economy but I will say that it is still in the early stages, there is no way it could run everything without human input or intervention. Remember that they are coded by humans, so there will always be input from humans in whatever area AI is being deployed. Well, some of the things you talked about are a bit over exaggerated, especially the part where you stated that AI would be able to detect crimes even before it is committed. I won't deny the facts that the AI technology is still improving, and it even happens to be one of the biggest industries today, but the truth is, what we have today is nothing near perfection, and I doubt if it's going to get close to perfection in the next few years. Mind you, just because they can do some tasks for a very long time doesn't necessarily mean that they're going to occupy the labour market.

The human intelligence, imo is still the best. We as humans are the ones that actually don't need AI, and not the other way around.

Why do we want to separate AI from humans, the entire purpose of AI is help assist the activities of humans, just the way humans have been inventing different things from ages to help them, things like Cars, wheelbarrow, bicycle, heavy duty Trucks and the rest of it, they where all made to assist the workload of humans. So when I see people trying to bring the narrative of separating humans from AI and making it look like the AI created themselves as a stand alone entity, it gets me worried.

AI will never be able to completely replace humans, or they could become so intelligent that they develop on their own and dominate humanity, just like in science fiction movies. That can only happen if an elite group wants it and they are the ones behind it all, not AI. They are simply taking advantage of AI and using it to do those things on their behalf.

AI needs humans to prompt it, but its learning will always be limited, preventing it from challenging its masters. We've probably heard the argument that "AI and robots don't have feelings," but what about their sensory abilities? To a certain point, humans will doubt all AI capabilities. After all, if AI is only meant to stifle the economic cycle of the lower and middle classes, then what good will AI do to keep the elite economically prosperous?

Honestly, I prefer the conspiracy theory that elites are trying to find the elixir of immortality to ruling with the power of AI.
