But where and how can I publicly expose this transaction?
You just did, not that it's private in the first place.
But if want to get it flagged, you must report the incident to the authorities.

My first 'sats' were just stolen again—straight from my PC/Electrum wallet Wink
The issue is, it's a self-custodial wallet, so, its safety entirely relies on your own.

Read this disclaimer in their website: electrum.org/#disclaimer
If you can read Python, you can verify their source code to see if they're telling the truth.

Anyways, finding the cause will not help you recover your bitcoins but it will let you learn what not to do in the future.
  • First things first, is it a legit Electrum wallet, have you verified its signature? (instructions)
  • How did you backed-up your 12-word seed phrase?
  • And check if your PC is safe.

If that’s all the sats you had, then it doesn’t make sense to buy a hardware wallet.

Looking at the address where the stolen funds went to, their history shows that they eventually end up moving coins around through different exchanges which require minimal or no KYC.

That is just $30.63. Do you think that can get the attention of the authority? Because the amount of money is too small.

All I think is that he should forget about it but he should learn about security and safety instead. The amount is less than what hardware wallet is need for. It is good to know that coins can be stolen through seed phrase. Because of that, he can add passphrase and backup both separately in separate locations.

I understand why the Op has raised such an alarm being that he feels that's the best thing to do but just as nc50lc said, there's nothing that can be done especially as the fault is from the owner and not the wallet and again, the amount is little and might not be something the authorities would want to bother themselves about. Sometimes it's not who claims foul that always gets heard.

A theft is a theft, OP wants to "publicly expose" the transaction and posting it here or even in social media does little to nothing.
If their police can properly handle crypto-related crimes, that should apply, it's up to OP if it's not troublesome for him.
I didn't gave him the idea that he can get his funds back as well, the opposite in fact.

I noticed you are still wearing Betmoco signature, avatar and personal text, it is better you remove it because the site is becoming a scam. Read their announcement thread and signature campaign thread to know what I am talking about. The campaign manager also said the people should remove their signature, avatar and personal text. We are watching the thread now to no where the discussion will lead to.

It is better people use a reputable open source wallet, what happened to the coins of people that were stolen on Atomic wallet linked to Lazarus group? How about the wallets that used Libbitcoin Explorer (bx) when it became vulnerable? There have been many hacks in the past that the wallet developers paid nothing.

A small water makes a mighty ocean, anyone who advised you not to buy a hardware wallet because all you have to invest is just $30 doesn't want the best for you.

$30 is a good start and the amount will keep increasing, even if its less it's better if the money is safe, a beginner who chose a hardware wallet is not a stupid person, they started will the safest option.

I will gladly buy a $100 hardware wallet to safe $30 because this $30 won't be my end, I meant won't be the last amount that I will invest, it is just the beginning and having a hardware wallet shows that I will have a smoother journey while holding my coins.

After weeks have past that $30 won't remain the same, it will keep growing.

You should have Bought the hardware wallet.

Playing with your PC isn't safe when you have a crypto wallet installed on them.
Forget the fact that Electrum wallet is reliable, those people giving you advice won't follow you home to guide you about how to use your computer in a safe manner, even if you can you won't always escape.

Windows PC is a breeding ground for hackers and scammers, every links you plan to visit might have something addup to them waiting patiently for your visit.

How long are we going to keep losing assets this way? Hardware wallet stands out, because you won't be using them to browse the internet, stop risking what you shouldn't.

Get a open source hardware wallet, all you need to worry about after purchase is keep your recovery seed safe, away from the internet, and from that point on you don't have to worry about what malicious Trojan is waiting for your next visit.

We can't ignore of what happened, it might be a small amount but that amount could be all he's got and a discouragement to his continuation of investing in Bitcoin if we ignore that.

What you can do for now is tell us what you did prior to the stealing. Whether you've downloaded some fake wallets or what not.

You can tell and give us idea so that you'll be able to warn others of what to avoid.

Tell us how this happened.
This is the third post this week from a newbie account telling us that their electrum wallet is not secure and that their coins have been stolen. the chances of recovering the currency are slim.

This happened to me once. I'll never tire of saying that the mistake was mine. People are used to trusting banks, and afterward, they become very careless when it comes to storing Bitcoin. But we can't blame anyone for this. I find it hard to blame such people, as we all learn best from our mistakes. I also lost a certain amount, much more than $30, and I was perplexed as to why and for what reason. I came to the conclusion: stop trusting Windows and use your mobile phone only for its intended purpose.

The transaction is valid.
It has 3 inputs and all the funds (0.00043449 BTC) was sent to bc1qfwa2u5pq5tklyclnhj7r6f3s878wkkwk2ln68v.

I don't know what caused you to get that message, but there may have been a temporary issue with blockchain.com when you tried to check the transaction.

BitBox is a non custodial wallet that give users full control of their funds and fully secured privacies.
A third party or the scammer must have to get reach to your recovery keys. So how did they get access to your wallet?
To say you lost your bitcoin again, sounds like you've been careless with your privacies or your Pc is either compromised or you didn't purchase the BitBox from the reputable manufacturers or suppliers.

Complicating about this BitBox and the Electrum wallet, I'll advice you apply same security caution in case you're truly using any of them.
Don't share your privacy.
This lesson is also more than just exposing the scammers so that you don't befall victim continually.

Sorry about your loss op. Just so you know, you were never wrong getting a hardware wallet for your small bitcoins. Hardware wallets don't care about how big or small the bitcoins are.  Just buy from a verified seller to avoid buying a compromised device.

Since this is not the first time this is happening, I am suspecting that the device could be compromised. I wil advice that you stop using the device, except you are sure of what went wrong. Also,do ensure that your private keys are safe and protected from unauthorised access of any kind.

Yes the money is too small and they will not take the matter seriously, but you never can tell they may actually take the matter seriously and fine the person behind this, some times even big money the authorities won’t take it serious to fine, I think it’s just a matter of luck and how consistent you are in disturbing them.
The person that did this to him may be his close relative and I really wish there’s a way to fine out the person that did this, but he should just try to secure his wallet more so this won’t repeat it self.

The transaction does not seem invalid from my side or are you referring to another transaction ID?

OP Bitcoin gives you a chance to have full control of your funds, but this also means that the responsibility for you to safeguard your funds also becomes 100%
It's not different from you holding your cash in a wallet or putting it in a safe
You have to make sure no one has access to it or the keys to where you stored it or else you will have no one to blame except yourself.
