These days owning a house sounds like a flex especially if it is in a big city and it is very expensive to acquire and maintain, electricity bills, water bills and other utilities, so young people prefer Apartments building in big cities where they work to minimize the cost and over here in my country, young people usually purchase lands in their hometowns after they’ve got some money from their jobs.

Owing a house totally depends on location, they’re still places where owning a house isn’t an expensive thing while it is expensive in some other areas, so I still think middle class people can own a house if they should consider other locations.

I don't own a house for now, although I have been working very hard to build my own personal house. here in my country building a house is very expensive so if you want to build a house you have to work very hard to raise enough money and the problem is that the more days are going that's the more the price of building materials keep increasing and it is making most people not to think of building a house anymore and just decide to look for a place to rent but that's not a good idea because that money they are using to pay for rent every year could go a long way if they put it in their house, I know they might be considering the time it would take but the time shouldn't be a problem as a matter of fact building a house takes a lot of time it is only those that has enough money that can just start up a building plan and just finish it within some couple of months, while those that doesn't have steady cash flow is advised to do it slow and steady with time they will definitely achieve it.

I think the location is more or less important to the discussion here especially when we are invloving young people in the discussion, now businesss that most young people work in will always find themselves in busy environment which in turn means that the chances of finding houses around those environments are low, what you basically see are apartments that are set up to make money from the employees of these business which are majority of young peole. Mind you these young people still have other responsibilities, financial responsibilities so before someone can be thinking of buying a house, there has to be a particular change in financial situations.

Banks offer loans and maybe with banks trying to go into crypto industry they might also offer loans with crypto as collateral or a way of payment. But for some, land and house are good investments especially if you live somewhere that is a busy district and in which the big bosses would be interested in purchasing. It is also something you can pass on to your heirs.

It depends on where you live, and what the general price range of land is, or if you inherited a piece of land. Owning a house is not about how fancy it is, but how much you can afford and how comfortable you are living in it. Remember a home should be tailored to your ability and budget. But it all comes back to version and lifestyle, whether you want a house that looks luxurious in appearance, or prioritize simplicity that suits your financial condition but is still comfortable to live in. If you don't have a big income yet, there's nothing wrong with starting from a simple house or renting while you increase your income.

Surely owning a house is still very possible for the middleclass people, but it usually takes patience and some realistic choices, Because not everyone can afford a big house in the city, so starting small or buying land a bit outside the city makes more sense. A steady income, planning and willingness to adjust expectations matter more than earning a huge amount of money.

It's literally proven that people are owning houses less and less. In the 60's 50%+ of the people who were age 30 and married owned homes. Now that number is 12% and that should tell you how little we own homes now. It's a luxury nowadays to own a home and you are at the mercy of a home owner to rent you the home you are in.

People are starting life a lot later because of financial reasons and that is why we even have a birth-rate problem because young adults these days do not have the advantage of their parents or grandparents had. This is why it's clear that no matter if you are middleclass or poor, it's harder to own a home than ever before. Doesn't mean it's impossible, just means that it was easier back in the day and got harder.

For some reasons I found out from collapse building I don't like buying a house I would stay because some persons could be wicked in the house they're building, they would use a cement that was supposed to be use to mold thirty blocks into molding sixty blocks so that they wouldn't have to use two bags of cement because of what it might cost them and in building a standard it depends on the quantity of the cement you use for it, so is a disadvantage somebody should not take. A middle class can own a house for sure but what is important is starting the building first and using your monthly discretionary income in building it and it will surprise you how fast you would build it.

You're right building a house is not an easy task and these current economy is even making it more difficult for people, some folks are only looking for where to stay to enable them do their normal hustling they don't think of building a house for the main time rather thier major concern is on how they could provide food for their families, but regardless of the bad economy we should also consider building a house of our own because we can't continue living in ranted apartment for the rest of our lives.

You need money to own a house and if you are not earning enough money to buy a house of your own. Middle class citizens can still own a house, depending on the area they are looking at. That's included in the mindset that we're setting. And all of us are dreaming to own a house, whether it's cozy, small, big or fancy, as long as we can call it ours and a home where we'll start our own families and build memories with. All preferences are valid on how we'll make a house, while the others prefer to have those which are already built for them just to live in it without having any problem anymore for its construction.

Now it depends on where and for what purpose you want to buy a house. Middle-class citizens can afford to buy a house. However, it may take them a long time to do so, and most of them often have to take out decades-long loans just to pay for a single house. Even though some countries have government housing assistance programs or subsidy schemes to ease the burden of home ownership, unreasonable property prices often trap people in loans with exorbitant interest rates.

For me, who is currently in the middle class, I don't want to spend my money just to rush into buying a house at an unreasonable price. It's better for me to rent for a while and then save up until I can actually afford to buy a house.

Because what makes it expensive is the land itself. The appreciation of land is unstoppable and no matter what is the situation of the world, there's no halt in it.

They say that there's a real estate bubble for some places but, even with that confirmation. It remains a luxury because developers and owners won't just shrink the value of their properties if it's up for sale.

So, a normal guy that wants to own one might look at it as a dream that could be hard to achieve even if they'll mortgage it because of how expensive it is.

Where I come from, it will take a middle-class citizen 10 years to save up for a car. It will take them 30 years to own or buy a house. That means 40 years of their life is gone. After then the remaining 10 years of working will be for retirement before life is over. So, people live their life to buy cars, build house, save for retirement then die at last. That is not the beauty of life. Relying on work alone won't let you achieve the good things in life within a short period of time. Business and investment are much better.

Yes, I do. I live in third world country, and I had it build it in 2021 bull market, it costed about ~20K USD then (plot + house built through contractor).

Also, I am sure, many of first world dwellers may find this amount laughable.

...I own my own home. If it weren't for Bitcoin, I probably wouldn't have been able to buy one either.

Our amounts may be significantly different, but I am of the same opinion.
