BitcoinBT (BTCBT) – Public Test Phase
Hello Bitcoin community,
We are opening a
public testing phase for
BitcoinBT (BTCBT).
BitcoinBT is a
formal Bitcoin hard fork based on
Bitcoin Core v26.
This announcement is published
strictly for technical testing and validation.
There is
no investment solicitation,
no airdrop, and
no guarantees.

What is BitcoinBT?BitcoinBT is a Bitcoin hard fork that inherits the entire Bitcoin blockchain
up to a defined fork point and applies new consensus rules afterward.
• Fork point: Bitcoin block height
903,844 • BitcoinBT activation:
903,845 • Proof-of-Work:
SHA-256d • Block interval:
5 minutes • Genesis block:
Bitcoin genesis block (inherited)All Bitcoin block history before the fork point is preserved.
Only blocks generated after that height follow BitcoinBT rules.
BitcoinBT does not share balances with Bitcoin.
BTC holders do not receive BTCBT automatically.

Purpose of This TestThis public test phase focuses on real-world technical validation, including:
• Full node operation and synchronization
• Block validation and network behavior
• SHA-256d mining compatibility
• Wallet creation and basic transactions
• Stability across different environments and regions
Participation is flexible.
Running a node, mining, or observing the network are all valid contributions.

Easy Start (Windows)Windows users can participate immediately using prebuilt binaries:

Linux and macOS users may build from source if desired.
